You are asking what an ex international who has won the AFCON, played in the world cup and spent considerable number of years in Europe can teach Maduka Okoye? Lol..
A capital big YES.

As an afterthought how long ago was Ike playing football in Europe, 5, 10, 20 years ago. huh

Has he been coaching in Europe in the last 20 years huh

Things have moved on considerably with different training techniques as well as technology. Has he moved on with current practiceshuh

Komekn and some others van argue it how much they like, but the fact remain that a lot of these European players are quite privileged to be born in countries where the system work and they have little problem with navigating through their career... Problem is that some of them don't have the talents for it... And there's this bias European teams are known to exhibit.. Take Man Utd for example..They have slabhead Maguire who is an absolute joke of a player.. But he gets to starts every game ahead of somebody like Eric Bailey..He was even made captain ahead of somebody like De Gea...Is Maguire worth the money and title he got at Man Utd? definitely not..but he has the privilege..
Fact is, fingers aren't equal...
One difference you may have overlooked he is WHITE.

I guess facing racism for black players born and trained in England is an obstacle but unable to get work permit for African players in England to due strict UK policy is not an obstacle.

Continue deceiving yourself, maybe you can tell me how many young African players got signed to EPL clubs from Africa and made it to their first team without being established internationals.

Nketiah also is a useless footballer and if he had been born in Ghana will be with Accra Hearts of Oak
One question is if Eddie Nketiah, after 52 games in the EPL and is only 22 no age creation, is useless what then do you call Nwakali.

Where you are born can also play an important role in your outcome. You can't compare someone born in Lagos with limited/poor training facilities and with likelihood of having work permit issues/quota issues if signed by a European club because he is not homegrown with someone born in Germany with access to better training facilities.

Such factors can hamper someone's life/career regardless of their talent and you are being dishonest if you think it doesn't.

Someone like Nketiah despite being a crappy footballer at Arsenal (not more talented than Nwakali) is still stuck at Arsenal at 23 while Nwakali had to struggle with work permit issues in the same club.
You simply have no idea about what you are talking and about. Sorry to say you are HIGHLY MISINFORMED and COMPLETELY without knowledge.

Every society has its challenges ,it's pros and cons.

How many black players have played with exceptional quality. But how many are Managers of clubs in the UK.

Before their retirement boots have got time to dry out , Frank Lampard, Rooney, Gerrard are already Managers in the EPL and Championship.

You have no Idea of the depth of institutional and endemic racism in football at all levels. Before you make it , you have multiple hurdles to overcome.

Some unable to deal with the mental strain of exclusion by racial discrimination as be well as the abuse . Have fallen out if football altogether even some have even committed suicide.

It's not always plain sailing.

Do you know how many boys get released by football clubs every season. Eberechi Eze was released by about 7/8 clubs before he made it at QPR.

Nwakali is a "Waste Man" Arsenal discovered very early that he was " bad market" never bothered applying for a work permit.

They thought they could get some of their investment back. Loaned him out to multiple clubs without success over 4 years in the end they let him go to Porto B who did not want him either. Luckily Huesca took him on and gave him a low level contract.

For your information both Eze and Ovie were released by Arsenal but look at them now. Eddie refused to renew his contract wanted by multiple EPL clubs.

Who wants Nwakali ❓❓❓

You are talking balderdash Eddie is a million miles away from Nwakali not on the same level at all .

It's better to be stuck at Arsenal in the EPL with the club offering you a contract renewal. Than a nobody in the Segunda division with your club terminating your contract well before the season has ended. Club tried to offload him illegally they were desperate to get rid of him.

Comparing Eddie with Nwakali is like light and darkness.

So you want to compare Shoronmu that was born in Lagos to someone like Maduka that was born in Dusseldorf and won't have issues with work permit in many countries.
I suppose Maduka was better than Enyeama because at 22 Enyeama was still with Enyimba.
Stop being bias with some of your analysis, and also Maduka hasn't achieved anything.
You are being blatantly biased.

Where you were born and your life circumstances has no bearing on the situation. It's a question of opportunity some have it some don't. And some don't make use of the opportunities they get.

If Ike Shorunmu was born in Germany how do we know he would not have turned out as a low life drug addict and never have any desire for football.

You can not make projections on life it's not that simple.

Osimhen has played against 5 of the Seven Sisters this season:
He has 1 goal contribution (1 assist vs Inter).
He has missed Atalanta twice.

Abraham has played against 5 of the Seven Sisters this season:
He has 8 goal contributions (1 goal vs Milan, 1 assist vs Napoli, 1 goal vs Juventus, 2 goals vs Lazio, 3 goals vs Atalanta)

So Abraham has scored or assisted against all of them except Inter, who he is yet to play against.

Levels, brother.
Many will not like to consider these facts.

I have said before Victor O has a determination and rage that I've not seen in any player,he is relentless in his pursuit has speed and aerial ability.

On the other hand Tega has outstanding technical ability, skill and football intelligence as well as speed. We dont always associate speed with Tega because he brings so much more.

Who is faster is open to debate, Aggression is definitely with Victor O .

Bosso calls up 40 Flying Eagles ahead WAFU B U20 tourney
blueprint.ng Apr 18, 2022 8:45 AM

Ladan Bosso, Head Coach of Nigeria’s U20 Boys (Flying Eagles) has called up a total of 40 players for next month’s WAFU B U20 Championship taking place in Niamey, capital of Niger Republic.

The list has four goalkeepers, 12 midfielders, 17 midfielders and seven forwards.

Invited players have been advised to arrive at the Blue Spring Hotel, opposite Ministry of Justice (Maitama), Abuja on Monday, 18th April with their international passports, according to Team Secretary Aliyu Lawal Ibrahim (08034824582).

Seven –time African champions, the Flying Eagles will play in Group B of the WAFU B Championship alongside Ghana and Burkina Faso, with the tournament scheduled for 7th – 20th May in Niamey. Hosts Niger Republic, Cote d’Ivoire, Togo and Benin Republic will contend in Group A.

Only the two finalists will qualify from the WAFU B zone to participate in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

ALL THE INVITED PLAYERS:

Goalkeepers: Orya Joseph (Lobi Stars); Nathaniel Nwosu (Water FC); Jimoh Saheed (Adoration FC); Chijioke Anianboso (Giant Brillars)

Defenders: Njoke Augustine (Abia Warriors); Gabriel Adewara (Ikorodu United); Babaji Abubakar (Niger Tornadoes); Okoli Augustine (Giant Brillars); Hassan Shuaibu (Smart City); Uzochukwu Ezeobi (Zamfara United); Opeyemi Omoloye (Amure City); Frederick Benjamin (ABS FC); Monsuru Oyinmade (A&A Academy); Adegbite Emmanuel (Enyimba FC); Bolu Shotimade (Akwa United); Adamu Saidu (Water FC)

Midfielders: Anas Hassan (Vandrezzer FC); Okeowo Oluwaseyi (3SC); Shehu Sada (Nasarawa United); Promise Harrison (SuperStars Academy); Lawal Samson (Katsina United); Clinshak Longba (Plateau United); Aminu Muhammad (Gombe United); Abdulmajeed Ibrahim (Global FC); Onuche Ogbelu (FOSLA Academy); Jejeko Ola (Coment FC); Hussaini Garba (Maikunkele FC); Divine Nwachukwu (Adoration FC); Sulaiman Kirki (Kebbi United); Munir Idris (Niger Tornadoes); Aminu Yahaya (Nnewi United); Tolulope Simon Ojo (Remo Stars); Muhammad Sambo Shehu (Katsina United)

Forwards: Emmanuel Ogbole (FC Basira); Ifeanyi Ogba (Lobi Stars); Sopurochukwu Kelechi (HP Academy); Henry Ndubuisi (Cydos FC); Ibrahim Yahaya (Gombe United); Aliyu Abdullahi (Nasarawa United); Ahmed Abdullah (HP Academy)
In general if you are looking at progression in your football you will find most of your players will and should be teenagers in your U20. This is trend in Europe.

Still developing in their clubs and league but showing considerable potential and promise not just raw brute strength and physicality.

If we were to go round the just the EPL and Championship, I am sure that I could assemble a team of outstanding quality of real teenagers showing quality potential and promise.

But many here would not like that unfortunately.

So let them keep putting forward these Uncles and using self deception to think these are promising youth players.

Let's look at awoniyi's career rise through this lens and understand what I'm saying sir. At the under 17 he was behind Isaac success during the World Cup. Success is injured and Awo rises up to the occasion where he enjoyed success at the under 17 , he is the front man under manu garba at the under 21 level winning the super six with flying eagles against the top 5 or 6 NPL teams, winning the under 21 AFCON beating Senegal on home soil in the final.

Awo's rise at the youth championships did not situate him in the ranks of kelechi iheanacho or Isaac success who had earlier secured a move worth 3 million euros to udiness pre under 17 World Cup. His move to Liverpool who loaned him out on his journey to Germany-Belgium-Germany was viewed by many to have been decent considering his fringe players status.

I dare say he is the most successful of all players between the 2013 and 2015 player who was loaned out from his parent club and later found a stable path to rise. The Nwakali brothers had their parent club at Manchester City and Arsenal. But where are they today. The other starlet at Porto think yayha , chidera, etc where are they today? They've all hit a rock on their careers. Isaac success escapades and weight issues have brought him back to udiness.

Of all these guys only three of them have maintained a name due to sheer talent, luck and hard work. They are iheanancho osimhen and ndidi.

Awo is enjoying a rise, but he has been injured and has found it difficult settling down early on but this is quite different from osimhen' s whose career rather hit rock bottom with series of injuries.

Awo should look Sebastian haller who is a striker built like him. Haller did tear down the german league. But struggled at west ham. Dennis style and play is not the same with Awo. You can be a flop in a lesser league and come good at a revered league . I worry so much about Awo having to struggle in the EPL
Well though out comments and l agree with you.

Essentially the skill sets required for dominance in the Bundesliga are not the same for the EPL.

Haller did not struggle but FLOPPED £45 million pounds 45 games in the EPL and 10 goals is very poor.

However, he goes to the Eredivisie with the highly esteemed Ajax he is now top Goal scorer in that league and counting.

We are going backwards in our football
We have to be realistic 99% of our footballers given opportunity will age cheat.

And unfortunately because there is no government based Automatic birth data capture in our nation and Africa in general. There is ample opportunity.

The other problems in Europe quality is intrinsically linked to age and therefore value and opportunity. No matter how good you are if you are 27 you may find little or no opportunity coming directly from my Africa.

However, change that age from 27 to 17 and the doors of opportunity in European football will be widely open to you.

This is the reality.

Goals are indicative but not completely conclusive.

You really have to look at the club strategy and formation then you look at the kind of goals he scores.

That will tell you a lot about his true quality and if he can transfer that skill set to a better, more physical, much faster league.

Sometimes, you talk because you must talk and not because you have something to say.

What is the difference between'groom' , 'nurture' and 'develop' ?

Tell me, I wanna learn
Groom is a privileged term and doesn't make reference to fair play and objectivity as well most deserving.

For instance it's apparent that Nwakali was groomed to be in the SE although completely undeserving and without any reference to outstanding performance in club and league.

Development and nurture are terms that are about creation , evolving, instituting, capacity , knowledge and ability.

My understanding and l am not conceited to think it's universal. But in general in my football environment in the UK the term grooming is considered in the negative and never used.
