Nacho has greatly improved lately. His work rate and all round play has been impressive lately. The Nacho I've watched since socoring against Rennes hasn't scored in three subsequent games but his hold up play and link up play are much more better to watch lately. The goals will come sooner
After 19 games he has scored 2 goals in the EPL, if that's your measurement for improvement then I'm totally lost

Watford is relegation bound and there is etebo who hasn't kicked a ball this year also getting a call up. If you say his form for club is very average then I wonder why he has started 7 straight matches for them....bonke can replace Ndidi in that DM position
The reality is we have problems because Etebo should not be getting a call up too.

All those players in the championship haven't done anything to justify a call up either...
No matter how much you try to hype the championship,it is still a second division league!
The Championship is considerably better than the Scottish League that's a statement of fact .

Scottish League is rated number 9 in Europe.

His lack of confidence makes me jittery too, imagine what it does to the defenders
He was part of a catalogue of errors that resulted in a goal, it was a one mistake but you guys want to crucify him.

Uzoho by club form is considerably below him , Okoye is the best goalkeeper we have like it or not.

Pep is overrated

He won't have done the same thing Klopp is doing with Liverpool

Also, Grealish has flopped so far. Klopp just donated 100m to the Aston Villa Charity grin grin grin
It's amazing how casually we use the word flop and with a double standard.

I don't think he has FLOPPED, what were the expectations on him in the first place.

He has left Aston Villa where he was the center piece of the team. With license to do ehatebyhr likes. Things have changed he is no longer the big fish in the small pond. He will have to adapt, adjust and overcome.

Look at Messi in PSG you could say he had FLOPPED too, he is no longer the centre of attention and where the whole team is set up for him to thrive.

If we said on this forum that KC has FLOPPED there will be hell fire and brimstone. If we said Omeruo after being bought by Chelsea even playing in the Championship but unable to progress has FLOPPED or Awaziem after going to Porto couldn't progress even after time in French League had FLOPPED now in the backwaters of Turkish league. Let's not even talk of Nwakali there will be continued rancour and contention and the allegations of HATE.

Watching the clips of Amoo Akinwunmi it appears the guy is skillful and a very good passer of the ball.I hope the coach will know make right selection
If you put Chukwueze in that low level league he will be like Mbappe and Messi.

So it's very difficult to say if he is true quality or he just seems good in that low level league.

He needs to go to a higher level before we can know for sure how good he is. He is being promoted to the university from primary school without passing any exam IMO.

He was before the long injury
I really really like Etebo followed him from his Warri Wolves days. I had very great expectations , was expecting him to be the next Ngole Kante when he first went to Stoke city but it just didn't happen.

He is struggling for game time in Watford not more than 8 games all season. He has been Injured as well.

Should he be invited in my opinion No.

In this regard nothing to rave about.

You have points sha, there is Ejaria, Onomah, Aneke and am sure many other Nigerian players in League 1, League 2 or even the Nationwide league who would astound all of us with their performance if rightfully invited. This thing isn't rocket science right? Sir K, am not so familiar with the EFL, league 1 and the other guys but please amplify by mentioning some of them please
Actually Ovie has just come back from long standing Injury , Tega is on his way to the EPL with Fulham and Chuks has played 5 games and 2 goals for Charlton athletic in league.

But once again Chuks is injured again he is unfortunately very very injury prone he was out for two seasons with injury at one stage.

Well as you know Aribo came ftom League one straight to the SE from Charlton.

But I actually be don't think league one players should be considered unless they are clearly best in league and club like Aribo clearly was. And by the same yardstick players in back street in leagues in Europe.

Copenhagen dazzler Akinkunmi Amoo has confirmed that he will jet off to join the Super Eagles at their training camp in Abuja on Monday.

The 2019 Fifa U17 World Cup star has earned a maiden call-up to the senior national team on the back of his excellent performances for Hammarby last season that saw him involved in 18 goals in 36 all-competition appearances for the Swedish club.

Amoo marked his full debut for FC Copenhagen in the best way imaginable by scoring the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win over FC Nordsjaelland in Parken on Sunday, tapping in from close range after a cheeky pass from Khouma Babacar.

The Sidos FC product was a player of interest to manager Augustine Eguavoen before the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations but could not be added to the roster for the tournament in Cameroon as a replacement for Odion Ighalo because CAF did not approve the request.

Amoo is delighted to be selected for the first time to play for the Super Eagles ahead of their upcoming 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ghana.

"It's really big for me to be with the national team for the first time. I'll be leaving tomorrow and it's going to be really exciting for me," Amoo said to FC Copenhagen's official website.

"It's some incredibly important matches for the national team that are fighting to get to the World Cup finals, and I'm happy to be selected".

The 19-year-old Amoo has been in action for 63 minutes in competitive first team matches since the start of 2022.
Don't you think there is a double standard here as well as nepotism and favouritism.

These leagues are rated close to 20 in Europe and they are not the most competitive of leagues by quality.

But people go up in arms when the mention of the Championship and much more English league one players are mentioned as potential SE players.

Amoo may indeed become the next Mbappe , but at the moment he has not justified a call up playing 60:+ minutes for Copenhagen. When there are far better players in better leagues and clubs .

The NFF give credence to unproven youth players defying all rational even before they have done anything. It's obvious that most are anchored on past relationships with NFF big Wigs.

the important thing is the current form of the player. His he match rusty, his he a regular or a consistent player for the team he plays for? Bonke has started fc lorient last 7 games and he has been impressive....besides he plays in a top flight league.
Innocent Bonke was not outstanding in Norway and Sweden after almost a decade in these plus 20 rated leagues.

He was released ( i.e. we don't think your good enough) and goes to a relegation club in Laurient.

Would you say that's good enough for the SE ?

There is one otimkpu on Twitter trying to force the idea that Tammy is better than Victor

We say bring numbers, the otimkpu said Tammy had scored 21 goals and Victor has only scored 15

Based on their numbers in Europe, we have Osimhen on 15/28 and Tammy on 21/39

There is no argument that puts Tammy as better than Osimhen
Do you recall when you said that Tega Abraham is just a championship level player and he will not go beyond that essentially.

He was the highest goal scorer in Chelsea team 2019/20 and he is essentially been a top Goal scorer everywhere he has been for the past 6 seasons.

And today he scored two goals bringing his goal tally in his first season in Seria A to 15 goals and counting.

Victor and Tammy are two different types of forward players. One plays with a Fiery Rage and aggressive relentless determination I haven't seen in any player currently.

And the other with a finesse ,balance and technical astuteness with football intelligence that seems unbecoming for someone so tall.

Who is better it's a question of either bias or preference.

Callum Styles has been called up Hungary (doesn't speak the language)
George Baldock will be called up by Greece (doesn't speak the language)
Ashley Barnes accepted Austria call up before the country's strict nationality requirements ruled him out.

Instead of playing Etebo we can play Amoo in 10.

Tosin must be on 300k per week then
Dont think Tosin is on more than £60k or thereabouts.

Maguire signed a 6 year contract in 2019, which will have numerous clauses that will increase his pay with time. Although Rashford earns more than him.

It isn't even just the economy but the football economy itself... England has the oldest football league in the world..They built the league earlier than most and continued on a higher level, hence they have the most revenue from football,so it's totally normal for English clubs to have more money than their counterparts in other country..
This Komekn idea of using revenue to rank players and clubs doesn't make any sense and he knows it...
The funny thing is that most of the top players in English football today are foreigners who came from smaller clubs and leagues?
How can he say players from Porto can't make Fulham team when the Fulham team itself is filled with enough players that came from other leagues?
My deductions have absolutely nothing to with nationality.

You allude to my deductions on this subject, which essentially is "Money £££ talks and the best players WALK wherever they are located to get it".

Have you looked at the players individually at Fulham and Porto and made an assessment man to man ❓❓l have and objectively too. Please do and then make your comments from a position of knowledge.

In the Championship you will not get a quality LB for £6k a week. Players will leave other first tiers in Europe top leagues to play in the Championship

But I can assure you he will go for 10 times that fee in the summer window. Watch this space. That's to buttress my point about academic transfer valuations.
