It's really sad we are not going to the World cup.

I looked at the conceited contributions and how we dismissed the challenge of Ghana.

I don't think we prepared enough and our team selection was very questionable.

Am I shocked, absolutely not.

Gutted and sad painfully YES.

What may seem strange is l think Rohr would have done better.

See weed talk...
Who is judging Okoye with one game??Which one game are u even talking about?? Okoye has never been convincing in the GWG..that's the bone of contention here, and only somebody blinded by sentiments like you would argue..

Let Uzoho move to San Marino..I don't care...As long as he keep performing in the GWG...

It is said that your performance at club level gets you invited to the national team, but it's your performance in the national team that will keep you there....
Okoye got an unmerited call up from the German fourth division, Uzoho got his own call up after playing twice in laliga for Deportivo.....
You are misrepresentating the facts to give a very WRONG IMPRESSION he was playing essentially for the youth team and in 2017/18 with relegation confirmed they give him two consolation games all season in La Liga. And never played another game for Deportivo them after that.

His club was relegated to the Segunda Division where he played in 2018/19 a total of just 7 games all season for Elche on loan.

He then moved to the Cypriot league playing 3 games that same season 2018/19 playing 3 games all season.

In the 2019/20 season he moved to Omonia in the Cypriot first division and played a whopping 5 games that season.

He continued in 2020/21 playing just 18 games call season. All these stats are not reflective of a quality goal keeper on an upward trajectory.

You can be anonymous on your club infact almost in your entire club career band then becomes all of a sudden outstanding for the SE. It simply doesn't add up.

It's possible the police investigation into a dubious health certificate and subsequent punishment handed out him and his club. Has not helped him.

But I am unable to find anything that says he Uzoho is better than Okoye beyond emotive preference that could be prejudice.

Now compare the trajectory of Okoye club, league career who is much younger than Uzoho and it leaves Uzoho in darkness.

You can drop as many contrived stats as you like.

One game doesn't define a player.

If Uzoho was so good he would not be in the backwaters of Europe going nowhere.

On the other hand Okoye is on an upward trajectory.

You cannot exclude cup football and league for player assesment. The only reason Victor O is in the SE is his club and league form. His first game in the SE at AFCON 2019 was absolutely woeful.

But he is essentially the first choice striker even pushing out the top scorer in the AFCON 2019 Ighalo.

You are putting forward a double standard.

I remeber Westerhoff picking Finidi George of NPFL.over Eredivisie Tijani Babangida before Finidi moved to Ajax.Amuneke of Zamalek.over Ikpeba so having Uzoho.over Okoye is a welcome development cos Uzoho is better irrespective of where he is playing the game

Okoye till today has not shown us why he deserve to be number.one ahead of others...mind you i will rather gamble with Ojo.of NPFL.than Okoye coz i do not rate him at all, nothing special about him....my opinion.
There was a time players moved directly from the Nigerian league to top clubs in Europe.

That era has gone long time ago and is dead and buried. The era were our players largely played in the elite leagues and clubs of Europe.

Our players are mostly playing in obscure league and club's in the backwaters of European football.

Perception is not Fact neither is it rational it's mostly emotive and therefore biased.

As it stands Okoye plays in the Eredivisie with the possible of being in the EPL or maybe Championship.

On the other hand Uzoho irrespective of your perception remains in the backwaters of European football in a essentially stalled career, in Cyprus. Is that because he is too good ❓

Christianity EtcRe: God Hates Divorce But What Do You Do When One Party Walks Out Of A Marriage? by komekn(m): 10:57am On Mar 27, 2022
gabicon:
I think you first need to first ask the question, why God hates divorce. Secondly your idea of God shouldn't be a fellow with a stick anxiously waiting to punish those who do wrong, He is a compassionate God, who understands what we are going through.

The answer to your questions are in 1 Corinthians 7. People are called Christians because they behave like Christ, anyone who calls himself a Christian and doesn't behave accordingly is no better than an unbeliever. We have so many unbelievers parading themselves as Christians, they mentally accent to behaving like Christ.

So if one is married to someone that is an unbelieving Christian and that person has refused to live with them, they are no longer under obligation to remain married to nobody.

The women in the church are the most affected by their badly behaved husband's, its sad to see how these women deteriorate over the years as a result of an absolute marriage ideology while the men enjoy their life.

We as individuals are married to Christ the day we accept his lordship, but should we say we are no longer interested in the relationship, doesn't Christ make the relationship by force? No we are bound by our choices with the consciousness that they carry consequences.

After exhausting all channels of reconciliation, if your husband/wife refuses to reconcile with you, you are no longer under obligation to the marriage and are free to remarry
.
Revelations 22: 18-19

18 9For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: jIf anyone adds to these things, 1God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, kGod 2shall take away his part from the 3Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book

Modern day thinking, norms and values perception and societal expectations are not the WORD OF GOD.

Be very careful that you don't inadvertently do the devil's work to decieve and destroy and kill.

What is in the bold is simply a LIE.

I presume you have culled this disinformation and misinformation from 1 Corinthians 7.

Consider verses

11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife.

39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord

Finally, remember narrow is the path and only few will enter.

I have a principal that's not necessarily Biblical albeit it Biblical derived. If everybody is doing something that's the majority it may probably be wrong .

12 men of God established and matured were sent out to spy the promised land , 10 came back with a report that had no Faith or Belief in God. It was called an evil report by God, it probably seemed rational and sensible. Buy it was evil before God, Joshua and Caleb have a report based on conviction of who God is and believed they were well able to take the land.

It's impossible to please God without FAITH & BELIEF. Marriage fails from lack of faith and belief and accepting an evil report the Lie.
Christianity EtcRe: God Hates Divorce But What Do You Do When One Party Walks Out Of A Marriage? by komekn(m): 10:36am On Mar 27, 2022
Mharvis:
Hello Wonderful people of God,

So I was going through a topic on the front page yesterday about a wife telling her husband that she isn't interested in the marriage again but the husband didn't want divorce.

Now for the Christians among us, you and I know that God hates divorce. No need to start quoting many scriptures you're already aware of but what happens when one of the parties in the marriage isn't interested in the marriage again??

Just to add personal experiences,

1. My ex-colleague's husband walked out of her marriage of 5 years because she couldn't get pregnant, the husband put another woman in the family way and told her people to return the bride price he paid. Guess what? She's just 31.. What would you advise her to do as a Christian? Remain like that because God hates divorce? At 31 years??

2. My former co-worker in campus fellowship walked out of her marriage because she was tired of hardship. She returned to her village and left the husband in Lagos. The marriage was just 3 years. All efforts to reconcile them didn't work. Another mutual friend called me last month that her husband is remarried, why would he do that? God hates divorce and all that... I had to ask her on phone that man isn't up to 35 years from what I know, what would you expect him do as Hanty no gree come backhuh

Share your thoughts people of God.
First of all, since the context is Christian principal then you must see the word of God, biblical principles in strict context. In addition have uncompromising concession in the infallibility of the word of God.

There is tendency to use modern day norms and values to articulate Biblical standards and spirit which is not the true context of the word of God.

We dont make the word of God to fall in line with our modern day Western cultural norms and values, to make it more acceptable to our modern day men and women in and out of our Churches.

The Bible is intrinsically clear.

The motivation for divorce is REMARRIAGE that's at the heart of it. Discontent is anchored ⚓ on the option to get what is perceived as a better option, a new partner.

In this regard it's unquestionable TRUTH. " Any man who marries a divorced woman, commits adultery"

If this is adhered to then , with God all things are possible couples will work out thier issues positively.

The Bible is clear the only way the marriage convenant can be broken is death.

However, on the part of men if a woman is unfaithful the option is there for the man to divorce his wife, the only exception. It should be noted it's not vice versa.

The Bible is intrinsically patriarchal and has no modern day leanings towards liberal feminism and equality.

Men and women are not the same and equality cannot equated to two beings that are different. Complimentary but different. The Bible once again is very clear.

Nigeria and Almeria forward Sadiq Umar has told TribalFootball.com he has outgrown LaLiga2.

The 25-year-old has finally found a home in Andalusia after numerous loan spells whilst signed with Italian giants Roma.

Sadiq, currently with Nigeria for their World Cup qualifiers, spent time at Bologna, Torino, NAC Breda, Rangers, Perugia and Partizan.

He sealed a permanent move to Belgade giants Partizan before landing in Almeria in 2020.

35 goals in 67 league appearances later and Sadiq is ready to take the next step in his career.

Asked if he had outgrown the Segunda Division and was ready to play at a higher level, even potentially with Almeria, Sadiq told TribalFootball.com: "Yes. Though it is good to be playing week in week out. It makes me grow as a player.

"My mission is to make my team promote to La Liga this season and we will see what will happen next."

Sadiq - who was linked with Manchester City last summer - currently sits fourth in the league goalscorer charts with 15 which has helped Almeria sit one point off first-placed Elche.

"Yes I'm always glad when we win games like that and me contributing to my team means a lot. My job on the pitch is to score goals," Sadiq continued.

"It gives me great pleasure, but the most important is the team's result in every game.

"It would mean a lot for us as a team to win the Segunda title. That is our goal and now we are in a good position contending for the title. Although, we still have a lot of games to play."
Linked with Manchester City grin grin grin where do they get these fables from.

Perception is perspectives and that's created from personal experience and understanding.

It's mostly emotive and not objective.

I've watched the never ending crucifixion of Okoye all his good work forgotten for one perceived mistake. A mistake that was a catalogue of errors concluding in a left hand ✋ that just didn't have in enough strength to divert a ball that bubbled before he could reach it .

The preference for Uzoho is based on what ❓ what inspires confidence in one is still perspective based on emotive preference .

I've not seen one person break down by calculated measured assessment what Uzoho does that makes him better than Okoye. There is not one objective based assesment, just preference.

If Uzoho was so good , he should be first choice goal keeper and outstanding in club and league albeit it a backwater league rated close to 20. But is he ❓❓

Too many are quick to castigate and harangue Okoye all for one lapse.

Let's now see what Uzoho will do in this match, the value of something is only appreciated when it's not there.
