Danielnino00:So go on Dr 2Know mention one ❓ Where is the hypocrisy, Sadiq played at a higher level was abysmal and dropped to a very very low level and is now outstanding at the low level. What does that say he is an excellent footballer ❓ l put it to you the Hypocrisy and double standard rests with you not I. |
We are saying the same thing. Even of pinnick had approached him silently, he would still choose England over Nigeria should southgate come calling. These guys have made up their mind since their youth days to rep England. We just dey waste our time and resources pursuing them
You make far reaching assumptions but from what ❓ Personal interaction and or relationship. How did you arrive at the bolded. |
Danielnino00:You don't have a right to play. You earn the right to play. He was woeful in training and woeful in games. There were big expectations but he failed to live up to any. Even in the U23 's he was far from impressive. He was exceptionally POOR and the coaching staff and fans attested to this. It became an embarrassing comedy for the club. Do your research. It's clear you have done none hence your question. |
tbaba1234:Thank you But why is it so complicated and far flung for so many people to understand that. I've said it explained it broken it down and yet they still stand in darkness. |
charlesemeka85:Noise makers making no sense. Imagine Amaju is foolish. |
darkelf:You clearly lack understanding if you did you wouldn't be asking that question ❓ sadly. |
Kbs468:Everything you have said can be considered reasonable. But the bolded is highly flawed. First of all footballers will not speak to journalists hung ho. What people say to the press and what they day close confidants are two completely different things. What footballers say to me and the press are two COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS. |
Kbs468:You really don't know your NFF officials. And by now you should know London is like another state capital of Nigeria. They come to London on any excuse and a few of them have houses here. But will still stay in hotels at NFF expense a very Nigerian mentality. |
Lucque:Thankfully Amaju is not ignorant of the dynamics of football marketing and value associated with national allegiance. Soon Eberechi Eze will be playing for Nigeria, my expectations before the end of January or sooner. |
darkelf:I have talked about the football dynamics and value associated with branding and national team selection. The leverage used to get the long term contractual agreement etc. But you seem not to have understood these dynamics. How many of these boys have you spoken too and how many if thier agents have you spoken too.❓ I expect more depth of understanding from you at this stage, you are talking superficially. |
Kbs468:I appreciate your position. But I AM VERY CONCERNED, we are Nigerians if there is loophole for abuse, then guaranteed Nigerian will abuse it. The SE is not the platform for players to progress thier failing careers. Selection must be fair, measured and objective. It's what you do in your club and league with consistent, continous and top performances that's gives the basis for selection. Consider the bold, this has been the bane of the NFF over the years, infact historically. Coaches officials now use it to leverage the careers of the players they have interest in. This goes to the highest levels of the NFF. We know what happened with Shittu and Tony Harrison. There are others but no need to mention names. It's a recipe for the enthronment if corruption which is still rife in the NFF. Even at youth level it's rampant. Sadiq case is outside of my normal proposition. Because he has had several years in top 10 leagues but been adequate at best. Another year in a sub 15 rated league in Europe was woeful and now he goes to a sub 20 rated league in Europe and is outstanding. It may be that's his level. He has to be tested at a higher level before deductions can be made. The SE is for the best players Nigeria can get. The difference between the Nigerian origin players from the UK or Europe. Is that they do not need the SE to bolster thier careers, it adds no value to them. Unlike players born and home grown from Nigeria, who need that SE for thier careers to progress. If you do well in your league and club and are outstanding then recognition and the £££ big pay out will come. Classic examples Dele Alli league one MK Dons to Tottenham. Ngolo Kante, Mahrez, Gomez, Ademola, etc. I remember George Abbey played RB for the SE but that didn't help his career the highest level he attained was league one. I am very positive that come end of January or before Eberechi Eze will be in the SE. And Iwobi will have some serious competition. |
Kbs468:Wow Sadiq is almost top of the Serbian league. Serbian league rated 20 in Europe what does that say. He may get an opportunity to move to a better league to prove that he has quality. It's an indication that he is improving but not conclusive. After his disastrous outing in the Scottish league with Rangers where he was comprehensively woeful. He has dropped down a few levels and is doing well, but is it good enough. There are still questions. Osimhen dropped from Bundesliga to a Belguim league rated 8 in Europe. He then moved up to French league rated 5 and he has kept the consistency although there is a long way to go. He has shown great progress in effectively his second season of competitive first team football. But a league rated 20 in Europe is simply too low too make deductions of true quality. Let him move to at least a top 10 league before any real deductions can be made. It will be an insult to players who are doing so well in other leagues rated far higher. |
edi287:Ruben was so poor he played two games one as a substitute got conceded a penalty and never played another game again. He was EXCEPTIONALLY POOR not surprisingly he was released. He went to the World cup hardly playing any competitive games for a season. Hope Akpan was playing as a DM for Reading in the EPL at that time he is physical and did very well playing for Nigeria. However, for reasons unknown by the NFF he was dropped. |
TheGoodJoe:Ruben Gabriel should never have been in that team absolutely no justification. However, we know who is agent was and his relationship with the NFF. |
charlesemeka85:Just like Onomah he has not been able to impose himself. Unfortunately for him Injury has not helped him as well and he still remains Injured. Other players have taken position and he will struggle to displace them, very few managers want to change a winning team. Meanwhile his fellow country man Oshijala has been impressive essentially a CB that can play as a RB he played DM for Charlton today. |
charlesemeka85:Are you playing to the gallery or do you really believe that❓ |
I have had people bring out daggers for me when this subject was discussed some time ago The Bundesliga is ranked number 3 in Europe. That means the EPL is higher, however we don't have rankings that consider the second tiers of Europe. However the disparity between the top 12 clubs leaves the bottom 4/5 clubs to be very poor. I watched Paderborn and found the quality of football to be very low. They are the bottom club of the Bundesliga but l would not place them above a bottom three club of the Championship which is Stoke city. Let's be substantive and not emotive and hasty. We can consider football quality but players and also by costs. Look at the number of international players in Stoke including our own Etebo and compare the numbers of international players in Paderborn including our own Collins. Now let's look at finances the team transfer value now compare the two. Who is ahead by value. Does anybody believe that Paderborn will beat Stoke city. In football anything can happen but on paper Stoke look above to me. This is why l say that the Championship is the most unique 2nd tier league in Europe able to generate by far much more money than any other 2nd tier in Europe. So for those that dismiss the Championship it's based on emotive prejudice than substantive facts. Finally, to buttress my point put in the bottom team of the EPL Watford and play them against Paderborn what do you think will happen. |

![]() |
charlesemeka85:Sone Aluko was in the EPL with Hull at the time not the Championship. Even in the championship he was voted best Midfielder with Fulham before longthroat carried him to Reading with a million £ safely in his pocket. Even greater longer throat has carried him to China. He was dropped because he refused to settle. |
Starboytwo:I watched the game. I have also checked Whoscored.com and if you look backwards you will see the screen shot. Collins had 6.95 the CB had the highest rating and the goal keeper waa rated 5th in the team. So you information is incorrect and simply not true. You chose to support a view not based on facts, truth and or substantive deductions. But on what emotive sentiment. Statistics are indicative not conclusive. You must understand that they don't tell the full story Paderborn is a very poor team. |
Joebie:I disagree. The Championship is the prelude to the EPL it's the preparation ground before you get to the EPL. If you are outstanding in the Championship you will be a top player in the EPL that's almost a given. Ebere statistically speaking is the best player in the Championship. That's AMAZING. Who is better Iwobi Or Eze❓ Put Iwobi in QPR and in the same position playing hard physically intense football without too many technical players around you, will he do better or even comparable. So it's open to debate. However, one thing is not in dispute from what l have seen Eze has a far better shot than Iwobi. Also able to shoot with power and accuracy with both feet. This is something that Iwobi has always struggled with. He has already done enough. What more does he have to do.❓ Our current arguably best Midfielder Etebo plays in Championship and to be honest has been largely anonymous in the league. That should tell us something. Even Ovie has been consistently impressive for his club Reading and league. |
darkelf:OK let's have substantive discussion based on truths not fantasy. We may disagree but we should not venture so far away from the facts. |
drDoom3:Exactly I watched the game and after reading the comments here. I began to wonder if l watched a different game, and l had my eyes on Collins most of the match l felt Hakimi gave Collins a torrid time leaving Collins for dead on a few occasions. Collins has poor recovery is something l noticed against fast players. Sancho changed wings the only way Collins could deal with him was with physicality not technique. |
darkelf:Hard evidence of what, might l ask ❓ I watched the match. When a team is poor they will spend the larger part of thier time defending. As a consequence the stats for clearances and blocks will go high. It's not a sign of quality if taken in context. After the first half Dortmund woke up and peppered the goal of Paderborn. What the stats don't tell you is how many times Collins got beat. From my calculations on at at least 6/7 occasions he lost the ball. On a few it was actually taken off him. But the whole team was stuck in a desperate rear guard action in the second half. Last ditch clearances were being made all the time by the defenders. Consider this statistic 10 corners for Dortmund and just 2 for Padeborn that tells you were the ball was most of the match in the second half. To be outstanding his team should have won the game. How do you not win after getting a 3nil lead at half time. As a wing back you should be able to get up the field and put in some telling crosses. In the entire match l recalled him getting forward on three occasions. His so called assist is ambiguous because he passed the ball to his left winger Holtman who burned down the line beating the defender and nutmegging the goalkeeper. He essentially did everything himself. So what's the hard evidence. In reality stats are indicative not conclusive. And someone here being outright delusional is misleading matters with falsehood. Even misrepresenting who who scored, why do people tell lies on a faceless forum to strengthen a non existent argument. I guess they are Superdelusuional.

Koboko99:I did not Add Jordan Ibe because l spoke to him and his Jamaican step Dad. And they made it very clear about 3 years plus ago. They had no interest in playing for the SE. It may be that Ibe has little or no input from his biological father and as such hasn't affinity for anything Nigerian. With regards to Solanke my position is very clear he has no affinity with Nigeria and never will. So why would you then recommend him. Because l DID NOT and never have. But obviously you have jumped on the bandwagon of those who loud noises and make spurious claims. Without actually establishing if there's any substance to those claims. |
andrewbaba44:No not at all. But everything in context not isolation. But when you have played 12 games in the Bundesliga lost 9, one just one game and have had two draws. That's the record of Paderborn. Collins was far from outstanding. What does that say to you ?? |
darkelf:He simply has been dissapointing in the games so far. And has become a bench warmer he just has not risen to the occasion. Consequently, Oviemuno, Eze have left him behind for now. |
andrewbaba44:First of all I HAVE NEVER RECOMMENDED Solanke for the SE. So that's not a possibility the dude has zero affinity for Nigeria. Fred Onyedinma is playing in league one after refusing blatantly to play again for Neil Harrison then manager of Millwall in the Championship. When was the last time have l mentioned Fred Onyedinma. Probably about two years ago. So what exactly is your point is it just childish posturing, unnecessary arguments and contention. ❓ ❓ In actual fact Fred Onyedinma had misplaced loyalty, Holloway then Manager came in for both him and Eze but he refused. However, we talk about the HERE and NOW he's doing good things at Wycombe but needs to do a lot more IMO. As a result nothing to report. |
darkelf:It was always going to be a tough game for QPR for me Fulham are probably the best footballing side in the Championship. In midfield along side Eze is another Nigerian Ayodele on loan from Tottenham. |
andrewbaba44:Which players are you talking about. Tega Abrahams, Fikayo Tomori, Eberechi Eze, Seyi Ojo , Oviemuno Ejaria, Dominic Iorfa, etc, etc please tell us. Oh my goodness Paderborn have confirmed thier carpenter status It is now 3-3 How can you loose a 3-0 lead no wonder they are bottom of the BUNDESLIGA. |
Exceptional Collins gets a yellow card And Dortmund have just scored it's now 3-2 and Dortmund have been peppering the goal of Paderborn. If they win this game they will.be very lucky. . |
DrKlever:It's so dam cold here. I am dreaming of hot authentic pepper soup. |
