When you people vote for people like tinubu ,obi and atiku and you prefer to have a government that shares money rather than use money to develop industrial potential, yes I blame Nigerians very well for their predicament

You have a people that want the good things the foreign first world has without the sacrifices they made to get there.

No wonder we are a debt ridden broke country regardless of who is in charge.

Obi and tinubu most of you were voting for left their states the same as they met it. Broke and poor
The fact that Lagos State has the highest debt profile doesn't mean that Lagos State is broke!

The now President 'Bola Tinubu NEVER left Lagos State broke in 2007. INFACT he is officially credited with increasing the IGR of his State from less than 1 billion to over 1 billion. All these were triggered due to the FACT that former President Olusegun Obasanjo seized Lagos State's monthly Federal allocations. As of today, Lagos State is the ONLY Nigerian State over there in Nigeria that can survive without the usual monthly Federal allocations.

Babatunde Raji-Fashola who was Tinubu's Chief-of-Staff when he was the Governor took over and continued Tinubu's legacy projects from the early 2000s using the PPP structure such as: Lekki Deep Sea Port, Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ), the attraction of Dangote Petrochemical Refinery to Ibeju-Lekki and much more as the Governor.

Second, it's BECAUSE of the annual revenue inflows for Lagos State that has made it possible for financial institutions to extend long-term loans to Lagos State. If a company or State or country doesn't have good cash flow, there's NO way offshore and Nigerian-based financial institutions will grant you any funds. It's because Lagos State can conveniently pay back the long-term loans that has made Lagos State to be financially unshakable. Fortunately the current Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu is an investment banker who rose to a senior position to become the Treasurer of his bank before joining the Lagos State Government.

Shehu Sani Okays Deportations by ICE under Trump, Nigerians Reacts

@son_of_the_soil.

@_s_Ayomide
The responses in that ATTACHED screenshot and Shehu Sani's post show how a lot of these young Nigerians are mentally lazy. Though Nigeria is NOT on the list of countries whose citizens the current POTUS and his gang of advisors want to restrict from the United States (such as Togo, Somalia and more), it's time for Nigerian folks and other people to start looking at leveraging on the use of AI and the Internet for data mining and to achieve their career and lifetime objectives. Many Uni courses which are taught in many countries of the world are NOT relevant to current employment needs. Even recently here on NL, it was reported that many highly certificated and educated young Chinese CANNOT get jobs as investment bankers and more so one of them whose story I read here had to work in a bar as a waiter. Thousands of Indians too were deported from the United States by Trump and his ICE this year alone.

Senator Shehu Sani's post is VERY right! The resources in each country and regions of each country can be leveraged upon through value addition and modern technologies to survive. However, this doesn't stop those folks in Nigeria from traveling on leisure and business travels as the world is a global hamlet already. Once the issue of insecurity is solved with the use of attack and surveillance drones and the use of low-earth orbit satellites to track the exact forest hiding locations of those insidious foreign Fula militia bandits and the BH and ISWAP Jihadis many things such as the boom in agribusiness, tourism, and more will fall into place.

Japan, Singapore, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, India to a large extent, and more did NOT achieve the stellar performances they have achieved in academics and technologies as of today without the focus on localized and sustainable development. It's even easy for Nigerians because Diasporan Nigerians can use video conferencing to share innovative solutions to grow Nigeria's evonomy and many Diasporans are already going back to Nigeria to set up businesses and medical facilities. I know 3 medical professionals of Yoruba descent (2 of them are from Johns Hopkins University) who have gone to Nigeria to set up multimillion USD medical facilities in the fields of regenerative medicine and musculoskeletal therapy which are way cheaper than what obtains by traveling abroad for treatment. These men are NOT waiting till things get perfect before taking action. Period.

Why is Switzerland important in the commodity trading sector?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4APpy4YBDw&t=16s
SWI swissinfo.ch - English • Jul 7 2021
Tiny landlocked Switzerland is a big player in the commodity trading business. The country's involvement in this industry can be traced back to the 15th century, when its ideal central location had merchants from all over Europe meeting on its city square to exchange goods.

Today, commodities are shipped around the world in huge container ships, and the trading mostly happens in climatised offices, far away from the mines and ports. Giants such as Glencore, Vitol and Trafigura have their headquarters in Switzerland.

But what is commodity trading exactly, and who is doing what? What's the impact of this industry on Switzerland's economy? Why is commodity trading usually discussed in connection to controversial topics such as deforestation, human rights violations, and corruption?

Sharp criticisms have continued to trail President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s new ambassadorial nominations, with some describing the list as a political reward scheme rather than a serious effort to repair Nigeria’s damaged foreign relations.

Many said the nomination of some raises fundamental ethical concerns and further undermines some agencies still struggling with public trust.
These creeps with bile in their hearts should allow the Nigerian President 'Bola Tinubu and his team to do their jobs.

These irresponsible lemmings didn't even vote for him in 2023 yet every decisions he takes, they want to control him including these Ambassadorial nomiations
which have been met with VICTIMHOOD and relentless ethnic bigotry and more.

Mr President, those who campaigned for you to win office are not necessarily going to validating for you in office. There's a difference. I like the way the likes of Fashola took a back seat when though they were in the front row of campaign machinery. It's not like they can't easily work with Tinubu but if you always surround yourself with those you know and like, you're opening yourself up to problems within.

It took Trump to call us to order, otherwise this APC people would have kept on justifying the fact that we didn't have ambassadors. Very unserious people in power.
Not everyone who campaigns for elections can make effective operators of the polity. There is politics, there is governance.

FFK should be posted to the State of Israel. Since Shettima castigated Israel at the UN for the genocide in Gaza, that's when the Christian genocide response from Trump came out. FFK is strong about his position and he has good knowledge of Israel. Attack is the best form of defence, then let Reno score own goal in the US. 🤡 Tinubu should use it as a negotiating chip for Israel - "If you want us to send someone other than FFK, tell Trump to get off our back".

Nairaland General"Low Earth Orbit Satellite Technology (LEO)" by Konquest(op):
What is low Earth orbit? | Space
Types Of Satellites By Orbits, Functions, And Practical Uses

What Is A Low Earth Orbit Satellite (LEO)?

Low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite technology involves satellites orbiting between 160 and 2,000 kilometers above Earth, offering high-speed internet, Earth observation, and other services due to their proximity. These satellites orbit the planet quickly, completing a full orbit every 90–120 minutes, and are often deployed in large constellations to provide continuous coverage through a network of many satellites. Key benefits include lower signal latency for faster data transmission and high-resolution imaging, though they require a larger number of satellites to cover large areas compared to satellites in higher orbits.

Technology characteristics
Altitude: Orbit between 160 and 2,000 km (100 to 1,200 miles) above the Earth's surface.
Orbital speed: Move at high speeds to maintain orbit, completing a full orbit in about 90 to 120 minutes.

Constellations: LEO satellites are often launched in large groups called constellations to provide continuous global coverage and improve service reliability.

Key applications
Internet connectivity: Provide high-speed, low-latency broadband internet access to remote and underserved areas.

Earth observation: Enable high-resolution imaging for environmental monitoring, climate research, and other scientific missions.

Navigation and tracking: Support precise GPS applications in shipping, aviation, and other industries.

Telecommunications: Can act as mobile base stations in space to extend connectivity to areas without traditional ground-based infrastructure.

Advantages
Reduced latency: The close proximity to Earth means shorter signal travel times, resulting in faster data transmission and a more responsive internet connection.

High-resolution data: The lower altitude allows for the collection of more detailed images and other data.

Cost-effectiveness: The technology can be cheaper to launch and operate compared to satellites in higher orbits.

Challenges
Limited coverage per satellite: Each satellite has a smaller coverage area, which is why large constellations are necessary to provide continuous global service.

Space debris and collisions: The increasing number of satellites has raised concerns about collision risks and the growing amount of space junk.

Radiation: Satellites in certain LEO altitudes are exposed to higher levels of radiation, which can affect their components.

Senate confirms ex-CDS Musa as defence minister after five-hour screening

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed the appointment of a former Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa (retd.), as Nigeria’s new Minister of Defence following a rigorous five-hour screening by lawmakers.

During the confirmation hearing, Musa faced tough questions on recent security lapses, including the withdrawal of troops from Government Comprehensive Girls Secondary School, Maga, in Kebbi State, shortly before the abduction of schoolgirls on November 17.

The incident sparked national outrage.

Musa assured the Senate that he would immediately set up a full-scale investigation into the troop withdrawal once he assumes office.

He also vowed to probe the recent killing of a brigade commander in Borno State, Brigadier General Musa Uba, and other attacks targeting military officers.

He said, “It is very unfortunate and really painful. I want to assure Nigerians that we will not stand by and have terrorists have the capacity to do such.

“We are going to go after them fully, working together with all the security agencies and Ministries, Departments and Agencies (of government). We are going to investigate fully.

“The Armed Forces have a way, and then from the defence, we are going to make sure that we continue with the oversight over their activities.”

The nominee highlighted gaps within the armed forces and called for enhanced funding, strengthened community engagement, and coordinated inter-agency operations.

Akpabio urges proper screening of defence minister nominee Musa, says Trump watching
Senate backs death penalty for kidnappers, informants, others.

He also emphasised the need to protect schools through the Safe Schools Initiative and a zero-tolerance approach to terrorism and banditry.

The screening session saw moments of tension in the chamber.

Senator Sani Musa (APC, Niger East) suggested Musa be allowed to “take a bow and go,” prompting protests from lawmakers, including Senator Garba Maidoki (PDP, Kebbi South).

Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, intervened, urging a thorough screening and noting that Nigerians and the international community were closely watching the process.

Musa, nominated on Tuesday by President Bola Tinubu following the resignation of Defence Minister, Badaru Mohammed, on health grounds, pledged to prioritise the protection of lives and national territory.

“I pledge to do my best to ensure that Nigeria is secure and safe.

“We need the support of everyone, every Nigerian, working together as a team, because it’s going to be a team effort.

“The enemies we are dealing with are evil forces that don’t mean well for this country and have no respect for human lives… If we don’t work together, we will allow them to perpetrate the evil acts they have been doing,” he said.

His confirmation comes amid heightened concerns over nationwide kidnappings, insurgency and mass abductions.

PoliticsRe: Call For Ban On Shariah Law: US Has No Right To Dictate To Us — Bashir Ahmad by Konquest: 9:03pm On Dec 03, 2025
Maxymilliano:
Former presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, has criticised calls from the United States for Nigeria to abolish Sharia law and disband Hisbah commissions, describing the move as an attempt to interfere in the country’s internal matters.

He issued the reaction on Wednesday after a report emerged that US lawmakers were urged on Tuesday to pressure the Nigerian government to end the implementation of Sharia law in northern states and to dissolve Hisbah bodies.

According to the report, experts warned that these systems were contributing to patterns of anti-Christian persecution.

The appeal was made during a joint House briefing held in response to United States President Donald Trump’s October directive and the subsequent designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern.

At the briefing, Council on Foreign Relations Senior Fellow, Dr. Ebenezer Obadare, said violent groups such as Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP), and radicalised Fulani militants were exploiting Sharia structures and Hisbah officials to push extremist ideology, enforce forced conversions, and operate with minimal resistance.

Reacting to the development in a post on X, Ahmad said he did not wish to continue engaging the topic but considered the development as a clear intrusion into Nigeria’s internal affairs.

He stressed that the United States had no authority to determine how Nigerians should live, govern themselves, or practise their faith, noting that Nigeria is a sovereign country with its own constitutional and institutional frameworks.

He tweeted, “In as much as I don’t want to continue talking about this, but I must say this what a blatant intrusion into our internal affairs! The United States has absolutely no right to dictate to us how we should live, govern ourselves or practice our faith as Nigeria is a sovereign nation with our own Constitution, democratic institutions, cultural values and legal frameworks.”

PoliticsRe: A Summary Of How Banditry Started In Zamfara State by Konquest: 8:46pm On Dec 03, 2025
BlackViper:
This summary is done by Mr Ayo Eleso:

I have just read the entire 56 pages of this paper, “I am a Bandit: A Decade of Research in Zamfara State Bandit’s Den,” delivered by Dr. Murtala Rufa’i in September 2021, and I have provided a summary so that you wouldn’t have to read the entire document.

1. Contemporary rural banditry started in Zamfara in 2011, and the first gang was formed by two criminals known as Kundu and Buharin Daji.

By 2021, just a decade later, over 120 bandit gangs have emerged and had presence in six states. 10,000 bandits operated in Zamfara alone, killed over 12,000 people, stole more than 250,000 cattle, destroyed about 120 villages, and displaced 50,000 people.

2.As far back as 1891, banditry had existed in Zamfara, so it is not a new phenomenon in that region of the country.

Oral historians spoke of it and accused traditional rulers of colluding with bandits to rustle cattle and rob people. In fact, in the colonial period, bandits killed 210 traders and stole goods worth about 150,000 British Pounds.

The colonial government had to respond swiftly by stationing armed policemen in all strategic routes to curb this menace.

3. There are different speculations about the emergence of banditry in present day Zamfara.

The first speculation is that politicians recruited some youths and gave them arms to achieve their political agenda in 2011. After winning the elections, these armed youths were abandoned. Since they had weapons, they began to rob people and rustle cattle, and instead of state authorities tackling this challenge, they gave the bandits amnesty and state pardon.

The second speculation is that the bandits are simply aggrieved groups fighting for justice. They had since been subjected to extortion, exploitation, and deprivation by different state agencies. They formed a group named Kungiyar Gayu, which means ‘an association of young guys,’ to fight for social justice.

The third speculation is illicit mining. Illegal miners, seeking to gain the upper hand over their competitors, armed young boys from the forests of Dan Sadau, Dan Gulbi, and Bagega, all major mining areas in Zamfara State, a state blessed with huge gold deposits. These local miners collaborated with illegal foreign groups of South African, Chinese, and Russian origins to supply arms to the young boys. They delivered arms using helicopters. Some traditional rulers are also alleged to be involved in these illegal mining activities.

4. Sheik Gumi, after a tour to some of the bandits’ dens, provided an estimate of 100,000 arms in the hands of bandits, which raises the question of how these bandits get weapons.

The ‘porous border thesis’ provides an explanation. Nigeria has about 1,950 official borders, but there is an absolute shortage of manpower to oversee these borders. Even when these borders are manned, some of the officials have been accused of conniving with bandits to facilitate the movement of weapons into the country.

5. Teenage boys, young girls, and even married women, are involved in banditry. Some attacks have been carried out by teenage boys without the consent of their elders.

The young girls provided services such as intelligence gathering and serving as cooks to the bandits. Sometimes these armed girls were charged to look after the kidnapped victims so that they do not escape. These women also received their share of the ‘spoils of war,’ in cash and cattle

It should be noted that not every one of these women chose to become bandits. Some of them were given out as wives to leaders of bandit groups in exchange for protection of their villages

6. Bandits have also been involved in raping young girls who were sent to fetch firewood or cut grass in nearby bush. In 2012 alone, over 50 cases of rape were recorded in one district, but the number is higher, as many parents often keep silent to avoid social rejection of the victims.

7. Finally, banditry has become very sophisticated, as bandits have grown in strength, tactics and connections with various terrorist groups across West Africa and beyond.

With all the atrocities committed by these bandits, is it right to keep addressing them as bandits? Should they not be addressed as terrorists?

Thank you for reading.

The historical timeline of banditry in the North West of Nigeria is indeed over 100 years old and I FACT older than 150 years old based off of the iconic book entitled "History of Nigeria" by Sir Allan Burns who was the FIRST EVER Governor-General to Gold Coast and the substantive Governor-General of Nigeria.

In that history book by Sir Allan Burns (of which I have one that was purchased in 1947 in my home library) CLEARLY talked about Colonial records detailing how the Northern roads were NOT safe at all due to high banditry as of the 1910s and 1920s. Many traders and merchants lost their lives to these bandits and when some Europeans lost their lives to those Northern Nigeria bandits
, the British Colonialists had to send the usual punitive expedition to wipe off the bandits. However, the banditry on several indigenous Nigerian communities by especially foreign Fula militia bandits has continued right into 2025.
PoliticsRe: Terror Kingpin Bello Turji Narrates How Banditry Started In Zamfara by Konquest: 8:23pm On Dec 03, 2025
Islie:
A notorious banditry leader, Bello Turji, has narrated how the crime started in Zamfara State.

Sitting under a tree with a sophisticated gun and a military hat, Mr Turji, in a five-minute video, responded to a background voice that asked him to trace the genesis of banditry in the north-western Nigerian state.

‘How we started armed banditry’

The terror kingpin said the Fulani community lived in peace and harmony with their Hausa neighbours until a former governor of the state adopted a partial Sharia Law allegedly to subjugate the Fulanis.

“I can recall how the former governor of Zamfara State, Ahmad Sani Bakura, implemented the Shariah Law,” Mr Turji, who entered into a failed truce with former governor Bello Matawalle, claimed.

“The law started and ended abruptly after a Fulani man (found guilty of stealing) got his hand amputated. In my opinion, I attributed the atrocities in Zamfara State to the stoppage of the law after it was partially used to amputate…”

Mr Turji said the Bakura-led government took sides with the Hausas in implementing the law.

Alleged atrocities by vigilantes and Yan Sakai
The terrorists further explained how local vigilantes and Yan Sakai militia exacerbated their (Fulanis) grievances.

“There was a man called DanKurman Galadima, with one Bala Maigora, who were the pioneer vigilante leaders that led the extra judicial killings of herders across Zamfara State with the government and the citizens watching them without making any decision.

“The killing of the Fulanis continued by those vigilante leaders for about two years without any action from the government until the late Buharin Daji and his group led a retaliatory attack at Kizara, Yar Galadima.

“At that point, instead of the government to mediate, it took sides and started killing the Fulanis in the bush, rustling their cattle, with the aim to exterminate them.”

As this hostility continued, Mr Turji said the Hausas formed a militia group, Yan Sakai.

“Armed with dane guns, the Yan Sakai continued with the killing of the Fulanis,” Mr Turji continued. “This forced the Fulanis to take arms and started attacking villages mostly at monthly or yearly intervals. They began with two guns, later three, five and ten guns.

“I can recall when I started banditry, we only had 30 guns. We watched how the vigilantes killed all the Fulanis in these areas; they sacked all the Fulanis and the Hausas in our local government areas Zurmi and Shinkafi,” he added.

“After we took arms, we attacked communities and killed people indiscriminately because that is how we were treated by the vigilantes members even when they knew that we were not thieves.”

This is not the first time Mr Turji has made such claims. In an exclusive interview with Daily Trust, he claimed that he resorted to banditry to fight against the subjugation of the Fulanis by the Hausas.

The early bandit kingpins, who majorly specialised in cattle rustling as a purported way of liberating the Fulanis from all subjugation, gave the same reason, according to Murtala Ahmed Rufai, a senior lecturer at the Department of History, Usmanu DanFodiyo University (UDUS).

An academic paper titled: ‘I Am a Bandit’ and written by Mr Rufai provides a clear perspective of what Mr Turji explained in his recent video.

Notably, the first bandit group emerged [in Zamfara] in 2011, focusing on cattle rustling and robbery. But, the effort to suppress the group unfortunately worsened the situation.

The local vigilantes and the Yan Sakai militia allegedly targeted innocent Fulanis, in response to the activities of the cattle rustling gang.

Sadly, many armed groups with trans-border links, took advantage of the cruelty against the Fulanis and escalated the conflict.

They advanced their mode of operation to include kidnapping for ransom, raiding villages and perpetrating more heinous crimes like raping and mindless killings.

Banditry reached its peak in 2018 when one of the founders in Zamfara, Buharin Daji, was assassinated, leading to the emergence of about 30 splinter groups in Zamfara and neighbouring states, including Katsina, Kebbi, Kaduna and Niger, among others.

Turji’s reign of terror

It was unclear if Mr Turji was part of the bandits that split after the death of Buharin Daji. Still, he rained terror across communities in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State, Shinkafi and other LGAs in Zamfara State.

The terror kingpin has amassed wealth from the illegal taxes he imposed on local communities.

Named Muhammadu Bello at birth, one of the violent attacks by Mr Turji was in December 2021 when he burnt more than 20 travellers, including pregnant women and children, in Sokoto State.

A few weeks after that, Mr Turji wrote an open letter to former President Muhammadu Buhari and the emir of Shinkafi, outlining the terms of a ceasefire in the North-west and requesting a peace agreement.

In the letter, he said he was ready to surrender his arms if his five conditions were met.

He listed the conditions as dissolution of unofficial vigilante groups in the North-west, a meeting with traditional rulers and religious leaders, a stop to the ‘marginalisation’ of Fulanis, honest discussions between bandits, traditional rulers and politicians, and the participation of first-class emirs in a security meeting.

This was after the failed truce with the Zamfara State government in 2019.

Mr Turji is among the 97 terrorists declared wanted by the Defence Headquarters.

He had escaped death twice after the air component of Operation Hadarin Daji bombed his house in 2021 and 2022.

The air raids killed many of his foot soldiers.

My first real exposure to the history of banditry was the story of a group that operated in Ilorin in the pre-colonial era. And honestly, the way they worked back then is almost identical to how bandits operate today.

They would storm a compound, seize the man’s wives and children, and then demand ransom. If he couldn’t pay, they didn’t hesitate
; they sold the captives into slavery. Some of those slaves were eventually pushed into the wider Arab slave routes disappearing forever.

Lenacapavir, taken twice a year, has been shown to reduce the risk of HIV transmission by more than 99.9 percent, making it functionally akin to a powerful vaccine.

By Channels Television

South Africa, Eswatini, and Zambia were to begin on Monday administering a groundbreaking new HIV-prevention injection in the drug’s first public rollouts in Africa, which has the world’s highest HIV burden.

Lenacapavir, taken twice a year, has been shown to reduce the risk of HIV transmission by more than 99.9 percent, making it functionally akin to a powerful vaccine.

In South Africa, where one in five adults lives with HIV, a Wits University research unit oversaw the rollout as part of an initiative funded by Unitaid, the United Nations health agency.

“The first individuals have begun using lenacapavir for HIV prevention in South Africa … making it among the first real-world use of the 6-monthly injectable in low-and middle-income countries,” Unitaid said in a statement.

It did not specify how many people received the first doses of the drug, which cost $28,000 per person a year in the United States. A broader national rollout is expected next year.

Neighbouring Zambia and Eswatini received 1,000 doses last month as part of a US programme and were expected to launch the drug at World AIDS Day ceremonies on Monday.

Under the programme, manufacturer Gilead Sciences has agreed to provide lenacapavir at no profit to two million people in countries with a high HIV burden over three years.

Critics say this is far below the actual requirement and that the market price is out of reach for most people.

Eastern and southern Africa account for about 52 percent of the 40.8 million people living with HIV worldwide, according to 2024 UNAIDS data.

Generic versions of lenacapavir are expected to be available from 2027 at around $40 per year in more than 100 countries, through agreements by Unitaid and the Gates Foundation with Indian pharmaceutical companies.

Pre-exposure prophylaxis, or PrEP, has been used for over a decade to prevent HIV, but its reliance on a daily pill has limited its impact on global infections.

He validly stated that the Lagos ports have the capacity to handle even more cargo if the port inneficiencies are removed. This is NOT an attack on Warri's development. Warri is Senator Oluremi Tinubu's maternal Itsekiri homeland so it is impossible for Lagos State or President 'Bola Tinubu to undermine Warri like some of these 5th columnists who are posting twisted narratives. ALL that is needed is for the NPA to have an effective system in place to have effective usage of capacity.

There's just too much underutilization of port capacity NOT just in Lagos, BUT elsewhere and those ones are understandable because those other ports such as Warri, Calabar river ports are located along shallow rivers which need very expensive annual dredging to maintain. MOST international shipping companies ALSO prefer to sail right into seaports (such as the ones on Lagos State that are located where large numbers of manufacturing industries exist within the Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Kano, manufacturing hubs) so that they can easily bring in OR import containerized goods in and take containerized goods out for export. Most of the cargo coming into Nigeria are meant for the South West and Northern manufacturing hubs so, it's understandable if the LAKAJI trade route is the busiest in Nigeria. Period.

Every year, Dele Momodu keeps regressing in terms of his mental acuity and ALWAYS talking based off of baseless assumptions.

Back in the 1990s, the Ihievbe-born, Edo State indigene (though born in Osun State with an Ogun State indigene wife) was very articulate in his thought process but as of now, he is the opposite!
Anybody who wants security can easily hire their own well-trained private security personnel from credible private security firms which is even far BETTER than getting police escorts.

A few weeks ago, Christopher Musa was saluting and taking instructions from Bello Matawalle, the Minister of State for Defence.

But with the new arrangement that has elevated Musa to the position of Minister of Defence, the question now is:

Will Bello Matawalle be playing the role of a junior minister under him?
Life is a continuum and Matawalle has NO choice but to work in partnership with the new Minister of Defence General Christopher Musa (rtd). If he CANNOT stand the heat of bring subordinate, then he should resign.

In FACT this guy who is a Fula by origin is one of the Fulas at all levels of government who MUST be removed for the foreign Fula militia bandits from the Sahellian countries of West Africa attacking indigenous Nigerian people (Hausas, Berom, Tivs, Southern Kaduna folks, Nupe, Yoruba and Bariba of Kwara, Kogi, Niger States, etc)
in their communities from North to the South of Nigeria to be totally tamed with advanced surveillance and attack drones including the use of low-earth orbit satellites and boots on the ground. Period.

If this man can become a minister under Tinubu and be mis-yarning without caution, it shows the weakness of his boss and hypocrisy
That video interview of Matawalle speaking on Channels Television was done in 2021 BEFORE the now President 'Bola Tinubu came on board in May 2023 and he had to fulfill the Federal Character principle in his appointment as a Minister of State hence the use of this Matawalle the former Fula Governor of Zamfara State which is largely an indigenous Hausa State. Tinubu cannot be accused of weakness because he appointed Matawalle based on the Federal Character principle and of course he is in APC and the former Governor of Zamfara State experiencing foreign Fula militia banditry hence the use of the former Governor Matawalle was tactical to see if his influence could stop the Fula banditry.

During OBJ's first-term in office for instance, he had to appoint Ministers based on the politics of his PDP and the Federal Character principle BUT by the second-term, he appointed more technocrats in government. If he had ignored the political appointments he made during the first-term to appease the local politicians who helped him, he would have had it very rough in terms of stability and to be honest, that method is NOT the BEST. CREDIBLE folks should ALWAYS be in government from the very beginning. Period.

The Minister of State for Defence, Hon. Bello Matawalle, had made a controversial statement regarding bandits activities in Nigeria. According to him, not all bandits are criminals, claiming that some of them engage in violence activities as an act of revenge.

He explained that when some local vigilante groups carryout investigations in their area, they sometimes destroy their settlement and make away with their cows, Matawalle claims that such incidents push some groups into retaliatory actions, contributing to the cycle of violence.

His remarks have sparked mixed reactions across the country. While some argue that his comments highlight the complexity of rural conflicts, others believe the Minister’s statement risks sending the wrong message about criminal activities associated with banditry.

Security analysts emphasize that regardless of motive, bandit attacks continue to threaten lives, property, and national stability.

What do you think about the Minister’s statement 🤔

https://dailypost.ng/2025/12/03/minister-matawalle-in-trouble-over-old-video-of-him-allegedly-defending-some-bandits/
What sort of contradiction is this? A bandit is always a criminal... simple! The Yansakai vigilance group he is taking about in the video are the indigenous Hausas of Zamfara State in Hausaland who were created to defend their land against foreign Fula militia bandits.

How can he (Matawalle) say that a bandit is NOT be a criminal? Does this guy understand the basic structure of English language at all or was he misquoted. He is a Fula by origin (just like Kwankwaso whose father was the Sarkin Fulani of Kwankwaso village, Ganduje, Atiku Abubakar, Nasir El-Rufai, Sule Lamido, the Baba-Ahmed brothers who are originally Fulas of Mauritania) so I'm NOT surprised by his comments.

It's high time that the majority indigenous Hausas of all the Hausa States from Zamfara, Katsina, Kano, Sokoto, Kebbi, etc, to be united, raise up credible indigenous Hausa politicians and NOT re-elect ALL the Fulas of foreign North African Berber origin who have planted themselves in the top political positions of government as Governors, Deputy Governors, Ministers, Senators, Emirs, etc, thereby denying the Hausawas of political power in their own Hausa homelands and in national politics. The insecurity in the North and Middle Belt States will NOT be solved as long as the minority Fulas who are supporting the foreign Fula militia bandits are NOT removed from office. Period.

Base on my perspective make sure you read cause I no say una no sabi read. Till i return on the 21st.

Politically, Peter Obi cannot stand next to Tinubu — let’s be honest.

What exactly did Peter Obi achieve in his own state when he was governor?
Do you know how many youths were killed and thrown into the river under his watch?

When Obasanjo was president, he was arrogant, entitled, and wicked. He held back Lagos State’s allocation and refused to fix the 1999 Constitution that’s still affecting your lives today.

Tinubu built Lagos with loans, survived the pressure, invested in people, and still rose. He even paid my school fees — I went to Fagba Grammar School and Sinmori.

Today, that same Tinubu is paying every state their allocation and restructuring Nigeria little by little — but many of you are too blinded by noise to see it.

You want a country that has been sick for 60 years to be healed in just 2 years?

Do you even know the name of your Local Government Chairman?
Do you know how much your Representatives and Governors collect on your behalf?

Una go just dey follow crowd like zombies.

He spoke some historical facts right there.

The popular music producer Samklef is Ibo-speaking BUT it's very noble that he spoke the truth about Tinubu's government when he was the Governor of Lagos State paying his school fees while he was in secondary school and more. These are the things that bigots and trolls relentless deny but Samklef has shown that he is NOT one of those insidious lemmings who lie a lot due to bigotry.
However the now President 'Bola Tinubu has to STOP being a "mister nice guy" and remove more folks in his cabinet and tame the foreign Fula militia onslaught on several communities with advanced surveillance and attack drones including satellite tracking technologies.

This is quite apt.

Lagos State has the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) which was FIRST headed incidentally by the current Governor Babatunde Olusola Sanwo-Olu (an investment banker who rose to the senior rank of a treasurer) right from the 2000s. The LSSTF of Lagos State being the first ever of it's kind has served as a good model for other States such as Enugu State to copy and even modify to their own peculiarities.
