lifeispeace:
Good afternoon my big nairaland family...
I'm in peril right now...
My ex boss has taken all the joy and happiness in my life...

I recently got a job in a small law firm as a secretary with a small amount of salary for startup..
Just 2weeks ago, I noticed that my boss started growing cold towards me...
I searched myself several times to know if I had offended him in any way.... I was always punctual in my place of work, courteous to visitors, and always polite....
He went away on a trip, and sent a letter for me through mail that my services won't be needed any more that I shouldn't bother to come back...

I was shocked perplexed and everything bad thing you can think of...
cry
I am so sad... He hasn't paid me my 2months salary and he has said he won't be able to pay because of recent downturn in revenue in the office.. The first month he said this I continued working because I felt he will eventually pay... Now he has retrenched me, I'm hopeless....
I have borrowed things on credit hoping to pay when he pays me... Now I'm severely stranded...
I am so vexed right now....
I know I can't afford a lawyer to sue him but Karma is surely my strengthhold...
I'm really tempted to expose the firm.. But you will never know when it could come back to haunt you...

In this life I will surely make it against all odds... Nevertheless all enemies of progress like my former boss and plenty more that are coming
My sister God will see you through n uplift u.
A friend of mine face similar issue but his was worse. The guy work without pay 4 like 5 2 6 month n was able 2 won some contract 4 his boss. I was with him n we were managing through. When he was fed off i was d 1 dt wrote his resignation latter n dt infuriate his boss. In fact na gun de take pursuit us comot 4 d town. They gv him time to leave not only to leave d premises of d company but d town. We were told to leave within 12hrs or d kill us.
My sister, na run b dt o.

She should check herself.
Looking for it somewhere else out of marriage is not and will only lead to more damage.
Now she need to ask herself some questions...
Is the man giving her sex before n suddenly stop?
Is there anything she usually do that she stop doing?
Do the man complaint of tiredness due to the nature of his job?
Are you sure the man is not getting it from outside?
Though am not married but I think this can help. talk more with your husband, have fun, dress well. you know those clothes you put on and the man will raise his eyes glass to see you clearly.
And finally, pray fervently. pray together always.
good luck...

MMotimo:
Once upon a time in Nigeria, seems like a thousand years ago now, girls did not accept gifts from toasters they had no intention of dating. Each party knows the gifts are not just "from the goodness of his heart." A girl can argue that she didn't ask for the gifts but then, why are you accepting it/them? By accepting gifts (cash or kind), you are setting an expectation, wittingly or unwittingly.

I don't know if poverty/awoof mentality has taken over and basic dignifying behavior is no longer a consideration or if it is just upside down civilization that makes it okay to accept gifts from someone you don't want.

Gifts of underwear to boot! Can it get more intimate than that? The audacity! And this girl has no intention of going out with this person? She has not given any green light whatsoever to warrant this situation? And she didn't express any outrage to him?

I'm old school, I cannot understand. Wait for those that can rationalize this, I can't.
Actually she return the gift back to the guy but he refuse to collect it. she told the guy he came late cus she's already in a relationship and she can't double date and that she love her man. The guy ask her what he is to her and she said just a friend. then she told him that his man is the best man to her and immediately the guy walk out.
I told her to keep the gift in the office, and give him back anytime he show up again.

Bro, don't give yourself high bp cos of girls, try your best to stay faithful and be a gentleman while you guys are still courting, have it at the back of your mind that she's opened to many options since you're yet to officially put a ring on it. All you have to do is play your part and pray she'll stay faithful like some virtuous ladies until you both are officially pronounced man and wife.

Question1 : Nigerian babes are like the leech who as described in the Bible, always cries 'give me, give me'. All you need to do is make an offer to her and she would accept. Our babes no dey see something comot eye.
Question 2: Bros if you see what you want, go for it. He has seen the quality in her and he is going in for the kill. If you cherish your babe, hold her tight. Until you tie the nuptial knot, you can't lay exclusive claim to a babe.
You're rightly on point brother

Dextology:
1.It is not bad for her to collect gifts from guys but there should be reservations on the type of gifts.

2. Having told the guy she is in a relationship and he keeps pressurizing her, it is advisable she cut contact with the guy and define her relationship with him. If he persist he might win her affection for him.

3. Treat your lady right and get her gifts don't wait for another to spoil her with gifts in your own very eyes. I.e if you really consider her to be a wife material.

4. Don't blame her for collecting gifts from guys. She had male friends before you met her but she should learn to define her relationship with the other male folks. Her opening up to you about the gift shows she loves and respects you.
Thanks man

Most Nigerian girls would always collect gifts from men, even when they get married.
'They have this 'entitlement mentality' that has ended up making them cheaper than pure water.
Some even beg 'strangers' for gifts,cash,outings... etc.
Back to your topic,I would suggest you tell your girlfriend to return those gifts or probably severe ties with the said 'toaster' if she can be honest.even the nature of the gifts and the manner of the 'chyking' suggests to me that he is a player and a 'fuckboy',and if you don't act fast, your girlfriend would soon grace his bed, because most of these girls are naturally attracted to such guys.
Thanks bro

Have you paid her bride price that you want her to not recieve gifts from others because of you?
If she decides to decline gifts it should be because she does not subscribe to what the giver of those gifts wants from her in return wether she is in a relationship or not.
To me she did wrong accepting those gifts if she knew she would not want to date him. She for no open am sef taljless of keep am.

HealthPandemonium In Plateau, Mortuary As A Dead Man Grabbed His Brother's Hand by koolsnoop2(op): 7:50am On May 02, 2017
There was pandemonium, yesterday, in Plateau Specialist Hospital, Jos, mortuary when a dead man, Choji Zeng, who was being dressed up for burial by his younger brother, Mr. Gyang Zeng, grabbed the brother’s hand.
Family members, who had participated in the washing of the corpse, ran out in panic when they saw the dead Choji holding tight to Gyang’s hand.
The confusion attracted mortuary attendants, who came in and separated the brothers, who had lived together at Ungwan Juma’a Abattoir in Jos metropolis until Choji, 35, died after a brief illness.
Gyang, who confirmed the unusual incident, said after bathing his brother, he was dressing him with white cloth, when the corpse grabbed his hands. He said it was a mortuary attendant that forced the dead hands off him.
Relations and neighbours, who witnessed the incident, also confirmed it.
Gyang revealed that when the deceased held his hands, he asked him: “Choji, why did you hold my hand, you want me to join you or what?”
One of the mortuary attendants said that it was not the first time such a thing will happen in the mortuary.
Mr. Benjamin Oche, a neighbour of the two brothers, who also witnessed the incident, said before Choji died, both brothers had a misunderstanding over the land they inherited from their parents.
However, no foul play was being suspected in Choji’s death.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How To Get Your Dream Job by koolsnoop2(m): 10:59am On Apr 12, 2017
The next logical step after schooling (or NYSC for Nigerian graduates) is to get a job. This is usually not the case for most job-seekers. Many of them have to wait from between one to ten years before landing a "good" job.

Personally for me I don't believe there are no jobs. The challenge most time is how to get the available jobs. The truth is that people get new jobs every day. People are promoted every day and the posts they leave behind are still vacant. Businesses are being registered on a daily basis (na spirits dem employ?).

After establishing the fact that there are jobs, the next thing is to have a plan and a definite strategy. You must understand that the conventional way of getting a job will not work for everybody. Your chances in the conventional ways are limited because of the population of people looking for the same thing you're looking for. Some even have better qualifications than you. That's why you need to strategize!

How to plan and strategize

The economy is divided into sectors/industries, these industries are sub-divided into firms. What you studied might not be found in every firm (unlike accounting or IT). So you have to identify the firms that need your skills. Get the details of these firms, their names, location, what they do etc. This information will guide your approach. Prepare a good CV and cover letter. Don't wait for them to ask you for your CV. Don't send soft copy only. These companies receive thousands of CV online daily. Go to the company physically.

Don't just give your CV and Covet Letter to the gatemen/security, not the receptionist not even the HR (in some cases). Try and get it to a top management staff, or a P.A to the MD. You can get to meet a top person who works there on LinkedIn.

The idea is to get their attention at all cost. This will land you an invite. The other process of test, series of interviews, etc, you'll also need to be well prepared.

I challenge you today, go and make a difference. Get that dream job. Don't reduce your expectations.

Shalom!

Christianity EtcWho Told You? by koolsnoop2(op): 6:22pm On Dec 31, 2016
WHO TOLD YOU?

Sometime ago,my friends and I were discussing and sharing the word together. As we discussed, someone raised a question. He asked:"How did Satan passed the sin nature to Adam and Eve?"
We all got quiet, trying to brainstorm on the thought provoking question. Then someone broke the ice and answered thus:"maybe Satan in the form of serpent slept with Eve and transferred the sin nature to her."

Almost simultaneously, someone else replied saying:"no,I think the sin nature was passed to them the moment they ate the forbidden fruit."
Even though we didn't get to the end of our discussion as to what the answer truly was,I left that place with a desire to search out the matter.

Now,If you carefully read the third chapter of the book of Genesis, you'll discover that the sin nature was passed simply through words. O yeah. It was possible for Eve to be deceived by Satan because she doubted God's word. Satan questioned the word given to them and then openly contradicted it!

The moment they believed, accepted and acted on the voice of Satan, his nature was imparted to them.
In the same vein, the moment we believe, accept and act on the word of God's salvation,His nature is imparted to us(See Romans10:9-10)

Recall God's question to Adam immediately after his crime of high treason. God asked Adam saying:"who told thee that thou was naked"(Genesis 3:11).
It matters who you listen to in your life! Remember, all creation have a voice. And they are speaking everyday. Everyday we hear voices from our environment, devil, media. And these voices impart fear. Only God's word impart faith. It matters the voice you are listening to.

When you listen to(i.e,believe and accept and act upon) any other voice except God's voice, failure and death is what result. Make up your mind as you journey into the new year 2017,that you'll give heed to God's only. For this is the key to absolute, lasting and unchanging success.

God bless you
