kettykings: Nobody is talking about the farmland to feed 50 million people no doubt Biafra will be a military, technology and economic power in Africa.
How on earth would we feed 50 million heavy eaters , most of them eat 5 times a day and drink as much.
When you answer this question then Biafra is 95% achieved I can't help but laugh at this😂😂. |

mbaise1000: How about you try to address the things I said and not babbling about what enters your mind? If you are a little more intelligent, you would have figured the points I was trying to make, are the IGBO governors not among the nigeria govt, kid I am talking of the avarage IGBO person and all the everyday people here, BTW you need to say exactly where you are and let's take a look at your own governor and your people and how you are better than the avarage IGBO person and who is representing you in whatever assembly let's see how many times he has made any comments there and how many bills he has sponsored, you are docile and afraid of speaking out because you depend on them, IGBOS depend on themselves individually and sometimes collectively and not on anyone, you don't have the gots to speak to who is feeding you that is why you will accept anything from anyone, IGBOS will not fear you because a king here is king in his own house, we don't wait for handouts, the biggest hypocrites are people like you who will want something but and doesn't have guts to ask for it but hating those speaking out against those cheats. You are a good example, everyone will hide and be saying IGBO this IGBO that, we are very proud of who we are, can you be PROUD of who you are and where you come from? Nwoke ike! Imakwa! |

chidiokay: You are only bringing the empathy angle, and you are sounding like it is govt fault that people with open eyes go n buy land in wrong places. they ignore warnings
Nigerians are very funny people, you will see people build houses in wrong places and keep bribing govt officials to sustain the project but when Govt finally decide to do the needful becos the project pose a threat the people will that claiming Victim"
You can't build houses on water channel then start play the empathy card online, it is the responsibility of govt to take tough decisions people don't want to take esp. when its comes to securing lives.
You go build house under high tension and you are speaking big grammar should find a solution for you .. like srsly We are humans and not animals. Even animals do take care of their own. Empathy is synonymous to being human so it's not out of place to show empathy to the affected. See my brother, Nigerian government always look for an easy way out as opposed to finding a better and sustainable ways to tackle a situation just to make sure that there is something left to enter their pocket at the end of the day. It's more economical for whomever that is in charge to bring bulldozer and demolish the whole place, leave it bare and siphon the remaining funds than to find a way to channel the floods properly to a place where it will have no or less effect. Yes some buildings will definitely give way yet a thoughtful government will employ the services of engineers to examine the estate and map out a better way to construct drainages. I don tire to speak grammar my dear but I strongly insist that demolition should be the last option. |

GeneralPula: Recall that the administration had declared the Estate a disaster zone, adding that the decision followed the “consistent and persistent” threat from flooding in the Estate, and urged residents to promptly evacuate. You sound like somebody that can think outside the box. Let's say you’re the government, what solution would you propose here?
Remember, it’s a flooded area. Flooding will also jeopardize the place sooner or later & it can even kill people residing there.
So what will you do? I am not in the best position to prefer a solution for the government but I will suggest they engage with the residents of the estate, hear their opinions, and what they think will be done to help their situation. Government can as well provide them with options like relocating them to another area. It's high time we start considering the plight of our citizens the way other developed countries does. These are hard times and any decisions that will affect the livelihood of our citizens ought to come with a cushioning effect. Some kind of palliative. |

We too like demolition in this country. Our leaders hardly think of a better solution. How can you sack the whole estate just like that? Demolition should be the last option after all possible solutions must have been exhausted. |

Soludo might be slow but he is definitely doing something. Nothing concerns me with what's happening in all this place you mentioned. You have to quit this comparison for it doesn't solve any of this ugly situations on ground. No be only urban renewal na rural renewal. Do you even stay in Onitsha?
Only if you can recall Obi's first tenure, if not for Ojukwu that asked for his last wish Obi would've lost second tenure, it was second tenure people started seeing his achievements in all sectors, Obi was trying to save money to be able execute projects, Obiano was lucky that Obi left enough money for him, unlike Soludo that inherited empty treasury, we are lucky that we elected a prudent leader by now we would've been among those states that are owing civil servants, pensioners, a year and few months is not enough to condemn Gov Soludo, he need our support to succeed, Anambra should be more dear to us than any politicians. I have no doubt he will perform well.
What's so difficult in doing simple things well? What's so difficult in putting up an efficient sanitation unit? Why not face this agbero menace squarely and stop treating them with kid gloves? These are the issues. |

When Soludo spent our tax money to purchase coconut and palm seedlings and then proceed to hand them out to selected Anambrarians was the moment it dawned on me that the governor is not a man with foresight. A whole lot of Anambrarians are disappointed with him at the moment. He needs to buckle up or bid goodbye to his second-term ambition. |
