If you have the visa vignette In your old passport, and you are able to get a new passport in Nigeria before travelling, the remaining pages of the old passport will be stamped “Cancelled Without Prejudice”. The vignette is still valid. All you need to do is to travel with both passports. I would present the the passport with the vignette at Point if Departure and Point of Entry, while the old one is in my pocket.
Then as soon as I get my BRP, I will keep the old passport under my box.

This happened to a colleague, immigration compliance team told him to renew. I will suggest you leave the renewal until when you travel, you might need to pay extra for your visa to be transferred to the new passport.

I kindly need a clarification on my passport. I did my biometric and interview on 4th of September, meanwhile my passport will be expiring in the nxt 6months starting from 22nd of September 2020, which means the expiring date is 22nd of March 2021. Please I wish to ask? Can my study Visa of one year be stamped on my passport, considering that, I had done interview before my passport reaches the 6months expiring date and there was no way I could have renew my passport before 22nd of September?? Your study visa of one year is not stamped into your passport. They stopped doing that since 2015/2016. They will only put a vignette on your passport which used to expire after 30 days, but because of Kovik-1,9 it expires after 90 days.

If u have up to 6 months on your passport, it’s ok. No need to worry.
But U will av to renew ur passport while in d UK

If it’s for depend and, and the main applicant has already travelled and has got BRP, then I think it will be the expiry date on the BRP of the main applicant.

Please who knows if anyone from Nigeria has travelled to UK as they opened the international airport. I am trying to book flight for my brother from Nigeria to UK, he just got his student visa, but I am unsure if there is any travel ban for students coming into the UK now. Please any information will help. Or anyone here planning to travel to UK with student visa soon? How are you planning it?Thanks.

(a) £1,265 per month for living costs if you are studying in inner London for the majority of your study (more than 50% of your study time)

The money should be kept in your account for 28days weekends included (school fees + maintenance money) ending no more than
31 days before your application.
