By the bolded I mean I don't wanna work elsewhere apart from PCR lab.

First, you need to understand what PCR is.
I see you have named yourself ‘molecular scientist’. That nomenclature may hoodwink a few, but professionals in the field will know that you are just blowing hot air.

With your HCPC registration, and molecular lab experience, the NHS would be a good place to start.
If it’s PCR that is sweeting you, don’t worry. You can do PCR in any hospital lab speciality, except maybe histology.
If you ask me, your HCPC reg is more than the masters degree.

Anyone that has an option of not taking the vaccine in Nigeria should do so. How do you explain that people are being vaccinated with an expired drug? This is not hear say and that is the reason batch numbers of those vaccinated in Nigeria are not showing in my opinion.

Most of these donors donate what is almost expired and before we get it, they are already expired. People have their reservations let alone an expired vaccine.

You are talking balderdash.
You blame the donors for Nigeria’s inability to distribute and use doses on time?

Rather than point the blame at our pathetic thieving governments, you are blaming the donors? For real?

Another Brother in limbo …
I think Africans countries talk too much without action. If our governments can reciprocate this travel ban on foreign nationals (British and Americans), then they’ll be weary of making draconian rules like this .but no we will only be making noise on blogs

Our governments that would rather use 38,000,000,000 to ‘renovate’ National Assembly complex feather than invest in science and medical research.
Our Governments that had to depend on COVAX or Gates foundation to dash us life-saving vaccines.
Even AFTER the vaccines have been dashed to us for free, Nigerian Government wasted 1,000,000 doses because NPHCDA could not store, distribute and use the donated vaccines.

I will not even talk about the fake CoViD test results and the fake CoViD vaccination certificates that ‘our’ people use to travel.

Hello great minds. I will like to know the possibility and ways to convert dependent visa to work visa before the expiration of the primary applicants first year. For ILR sake, it is better to move to work visa on time instead of waiting for 2 years post study visa (I read somewhere that the 3years journey doesn’t count for ILR) and later look for sponsorship which means another 5years journey. I need information on how best to make a smooth transition. @lagosismyhome @justwise and other great minds let me tap into your ocean of knowledge on this

Get a job that sponsors visas and switch as soon as you can.

The link below corroborates the details she provided
https://www.gov.uk/guidance/apprenticeship-funding-rules-for-employers/annex-a-eligibility-criteria-who-we-fund

The link provided more info, but it DID NOT corroborate Irenewaka’s post.
If anything, the link proved that the previous info provided by Chinlov about ILR was valid.

You not only need to have been resident in the UK for 3 years, you also need to have a residency status (not a tier-4). How else can a Nigerian meet that criteria if they are not on ILR? Or maybe spousal visa?

Please thats a false info…I really wanted to get into IT.

i just got an apprenticeship as a data analyst nd i dont have ILR.
Things to note:
1. Yu need to have been resident in the uk for min 3 years.

It’s not false.
Apprenticeships do NOT give visas of their own.
I’m sure you felt it was false because of the ILR part. But it’s not false.

If you had mentioned the exact visa type you currently hold (possibly spousal), then it would have been clear to all the reason why you got into the apprenticeship program.

Thank you for the in-depth info, though.

Can someone guide me promptly please

How much are you personally planning to spend in the UK? 500pounds
How much is your sponsor planning to pay towards your visit? 1000pounds

Is this reasonable or can anyone else guide us

You are approaching this wrongly.
Get a paper and calculator.
-Check the cost of flights to and fro.
- factor in local transportation costs
- include some little miscellaneous
- add 10% to the total.
- work with the grand Total….

Please I would like to know about the bold part, I am the student but I believe my husband has better chances cos he is a Biochemist but has over 5 years experience working in the health sector in Nigeria and some assume he read a medical course. For now he has gotten an Amazon warehouse operative job but we are thinking of how he can switch to the medical field that has chances of sponsorship. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Whereabouts in the UK are you?

Rather, he should have referred to him as the Deposed [and Disgraced impostor] Emir of Kano.

Una no tell me on time o. But what's usually the average cost per month?

There are different council tax bands.
Which largely depend on your postcode.
£100 pm - £220 pm. Depending on different factors.

I am the main applicant and it's a student Visa. I am exempt and thought my husband was too.

I know a couple who got letter. The husband (tier 4 student) wrote back to the council, insisting that he was a student, he rented the apartment. The wife is HIS dependant.
He got an exempt, and both names were on the council bill tax certificate.
This was between 2018 to 2021.

Hello,
I know this council tax exemption has been discussed before now but I just called the city council to ask if my husband is exempted from paying council tax and they said No. Is this correct and what's the best way to go about it please?

Between you and your husband, who is the dependant?
And what visa category is the main applicant? Is the main visa applicant/holder exempt?

Hello everyone,
Please can you confirm if the NHS cover for students and their dependents cover prescribed medicines as well or is it just the services?

In England & Wales, you pay for your prescription medicines (usually ~ £9 per Med or so).

Sorry about your mum's demise, please do accept my condolences.

In case of other times, Nigeria still remains the better place to get a renewal all year round. I got mine renewed early this month under 24 hours with no drama.

Really? “Without Drama” ?
You mean it?
24 hours? No drama? For real?

Does “without drama” also mean without “roger”?
As in, fill form online. Pay (officially legal fees) online. Walk into NIS office. Do biometric capture. Go home. 24 hours later, passport was ready?
Biko, which passport office was that please?

Hello house!

Is it possible to get discounted oyster card as an international student?

Yes.
All students get this.
Speak to staff at the stations. They give you form. You fill. Your school endorses a stamp.
You submit with a passport photo.
You are sent an oyster photo card with your picture on it.
You get discounted travel when you purchase weekly or monthly travel card.

What happen if both spouse put their names on tenancy agreement

Why (in your opinion) should a student do that? Do you think it has any advantage? I ask because it will make sense to properly understand the rationale, in order to provide you with a useful answer.

It depends on what visa ‘both spouse’ are on.

For some visa categories, it’s sense. For some other visa categories, it’s senseless.
