Yet, they did not stop there; they tied them with chains and tucked and locked their feet in stocks. In other words, the enemies tried to block every possible avenue of escapes. Now the jailor could safely go to sleep. As tired as they were, with their bodies bleeding from the wounds earlier inflicted on them before they were brought to the prison house, they felt they must immediately contact their Headquarters in Heaven and invite the King of Glory to personally visit them in that prison. They began to engage in high praises at midnight and that night, the Lord came on a visit. An earthquake accompanied His visit and the foundation of the prison house shifted out of place, all locked doors were flung open, the chains on all the prisoners got broken their feet were set free from the stocks. When God decides to visit that prison where the enemies have caged you, He can orchestrate a jail break. It reminds us of our origin.It reminds us dat we re dust.According to Genesis 3:17-19,we were taken out of dust and to dust will our bodies return.Not many pple would like 2 hear dat deir beautiful body will return to dust one day.Death reminds us dat we re not on earth forever but temporarily,hence we re called pilgrims(Hebrews11:13; 1Peter 2:11).The world is some kind of bridge we re tryin 2 cross.Death reminds us of d coming judgment (Hebrews 9:27). U would be amazed 2 know dat some men of God fear death more dan oda pple bcus it has no regards 4 d anointing.In 1 Samuel 25:1, we read dat Samuel - d king maker, king remover nd prophet of Israel died wit all his anointing. Saul - the first king of Israel also died (1 Samuel 31:6). Do u know dat death does not regard d command not 2 touch God's anointed? Death does not regard who u are - whether General Superintendent or General Overseer, Pastor, Prophet, etc. It will strike at its appointed date. I replied dat it is not stated in d Bible.One day,he visited me in company of his wife while I was at a retreat so we decided 2 do a little Bible study on 1 Samuel 17:38-40.Verse 40 says David selected five smooth stones 4rm d brook nd not just any stone even wen a stone is a stone bcus of its hardness. Wat is d difference btw a smooth stone nd one dat is not smooth? I told dem dat dere re different kinds of stones - stones dat can kill a dog nd stones dat can kill other types of creatures,but dat d stones dat could kill a giant must be smooth stones.With dis new insight,he stopped smoking dat same day,saying dat he desired not just to be a stone but a smooth stone in God's hands. Are u born-again but still drinking alcoholic wine or smoking or re u stil involved in a questionable habit? U cannot be a smooth stone until u do away wit anytin questionable in ur life.Yes,u can just be a stone - an ordinary one,but if u want to be a smooth stone dat God can use 2 do great things in His Kingdom,den u must allow God 2 polish u,nd make u a tried stone like Jesus Christ. It lives nd is unlimited just like God.It is a spy agent 4 d fellow who knws hw 2 use it well.If dere is one weapon dat d enemy can't resist,it is d word of God,yet often times,it appears d word does nt work. Is God a liar or wat is wrong? Dere re a few instances where d word of God may not work. D first is during a trial of faith situation.While undergoing a trial of faith,d word of God is suspended 4 dat individual or else he or she can never successfully go through d trial.For instance,during a trial of faith dat borders on ur finances,no matter hw sin free,God-pleasing,or Heaven-bond u re,even if u pay ur tithes regularly,at dat trial period,it may nt stop the devourers 4rm devouring,nd ur promised blessing may be kept in abeyance.But afta d trial period,ur pending blessings will be delivered.Do not think u hav lost such blessings during ur trial period? Dey re only reserved,2 be delivered after d trial. Anoda situation dat may hinder d working power of God's word is wen it is not skilfully employed.According to Hebrew 5:11-14, if u re applyin d milk of d word wen strong meat or bones of d word is wat u require 2 handle a situation,it wil fail 2 deliver d result.For instance,if u re reciting d Lord's Prayer during a time of need,instead of applying dis prayer model nd specifically asking 4 ur need 2 be met,u may not hav ur desired answer.Or if u ask God 4 sometin without backin it up wit relevant promises documented in d Bible,He may not answer u.It is not ur prose in prayer dat compels God into action,but His word dat u send back 2 Him.Even wen He does not want to grant d request 4 ur sake,He would be compelled 2 do so for d sake of His integrity. Another situation is making request while u re living in sin.

God has provided information in d Bible which He intends wil give men revelations dat ultimately wil make dem wise.Bt unfortunately 4 many pple,most of dis divine information remained notin bt mere information.As long as knowledge garnered 4rm such information does nt lead 2 wisdom,its purpose wil b defeated.Take 4 instance dis scripture in Hebrews 9:27:And as it is appointed un2 men 1ce 2 die,bt afta dis d judgement:" Ordinarily it contains very vital information.Nt many pple want 2 talk abt d comin judgment or abt death.Pple re prepared 2 discuss oda issues-prosperity,breakthrough,success,promotion,etc.bt nt death.Dat every1 wil die someday is information.4rm dis information it could dawn on u dat someday it wil b ur turn-dis is revelation.It is den expected dat dis revelation wil lead u in2 takin eternal issues more seriously,leading 2 u givin ur life 2 Christ nd livin everyday in righteousness as if it were ur last.Dat is wisdom.Believers re nt supposed 2 sorrow over death like unbelievers bt we do.Y do we fear death so much? 1 reason is bcus it is a leveller.It levels every1.Accordin to Ecclesiastes 2:17,d professor nd d illitrate person,d rich nd d poor,d famous nd d unknown wil die 1 day nd @dat point,dey wil each lose wateva edge dey had in deir life time.@death,all wealth,degrees nd achievements wil be of no use 2 d departed.Psalm 12:1 says d godly wil die nd 1kings 22:37-40 says d ungodly wil also die.D rich,famous nd dose who re havin d best out of life wil nt want 2 talk abt death.We came naked 2 dis world nd we wil 1 day return naked.No rich person wil want 2 hear abt dis.Even if u were buried wit lots of diamond,by d followin day,thieves would hav robbed d dead of dose valuables nd dumped d corpse on bare ground.A rich man's land 1ce gave him surplus harvest nd while projectin 4 d future,God told him it was time 2 go.If we give a tot 2 d issues of death,we wil stop chasin only tins dat hav no eternal value.Wat do u think about? D difference btw a Christian nd a non-Christian here is dat in times of storms,u already hav d Prince of Peace with u.With just a word 4rm Him,d storm will cease.Psalm 34:19 says,"Many are the afflictions of the righteous but the Lord delivereth him out of them all". Some believers think dat if u re in God's will or if u obey God's instruction - for instance in taking a particular individual as ur spouse in marriage,u will never have issues.Dis is not true.D truth:wen problems come on account of obeying God,u can confidently return 2 Him nd ask Him 2 take care of it. In John 16:33, Jesus says in spite of ur trouble be joyful bcus His victory over d world will secure ur victory over dat situation.If u look carefully at Isaiah 43:2,u wil understand dat we must go through fires nd rivers.If God wil use u 4 His greater purpose nd glory,den u must be prepared 2 go through not only rivers,but also d fire,but dere wil be no reason 2 fear bcus He wil be wit u.D fire wil not consume u but it will be an instrument of purifying u.Jesus was in d same boat wit His disciples nd yet d storm arose(Mark 4:34-41).Dat He is in ur boat does not insure u against storms but dat ur boat will never sink. The Prince of Peace is with you. Your victory is certain.

Operatin in d supernatural wil naturally attract certain challenges.U cannot serve nd please God nd Satan @ d same time.Any time u please God,u displease d devil.It is impossible 4 u 2 operate in d supernatural witout attracting d anger or fury of d kingdom of darkness.After Elijah brut down fire 4rm Heaven nd killed all d 450 prophets of Baal,deir grand matron - Queen Jezebel resolved 2 kill him within 24hours.D more u operate in d supernatural,d greater d attack 4rm d enemy.Wen a king wanted 2 arrest Elijah he sent 3 batches of soldiers nd deir captains in quick succession, but wen Elisha who had a double portion of Elijah's Spirit,was 2 be arrested,a whole army platoon was sent.Are u facing a band of soldiers or a whole army bcus of ur faithfulness in serving God? D Lord wil deliver u. Some pple re stil putting deir trust in d arm of flesh as regards security.Such re only awaiting disappointment.How much can u pay a security guard 4 him 2 die 4 u? Be connected wit d supernatural of God 2day! Wen u begin 2 operate in d supernatural,try nd guard against dese 3 tins: indiscipline, pride nd immorality. Indiscipline is rife in Pentecostal circles.We think dat bcus we speak in tongues we can take liberty as license 2 live witout control.If u study d life of Samson,u wil realise dat witout discipline,u cannot go far in d tins of d Kingdom.Some younger ministers serving under senior ministers hav suddenly heard 4rm God nd hav bcom general overseers so dat nobody can oversee dem or call dem 2 order.Wen some leaders re transferred by deir superiors,dey wil tell u dey want 2 go nd pray.Some workers nd ministers wil be transferred 2 a new parish nd dey wil say bcus God has not spoken 2 dem abt d transfer,dey wil not go.Dey believe dey re right,not knowing dey re simply living in disobedience.Also watch against pride.Never get to d point where no one can talk to u again. Lastly watch against immorality.

Divine encounters come in different ways but one of d most outstanding forms is wen God decides 2 pay u a visit by Himself. Wherever d King goes, doors open 2 Him. Psalm 24;7 says, "Lift up your heads,O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in". Whenever the King of Kings wants to come on a visit to His own,He comes in without knocking on the door bcus He is the DOOR. After the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the disciples were assembled in a room one day.With the doors shut,Jesus suddenly appeared in their midst without knocking or passing through the door. Being the original Door,He does not need the permission of any door to give Him passage. Doors - not some but all open unto Him of their own volition.This is why u need God's personal visitation.When He comes 2 u,all the doors of progress, success, growth, opportunities, enlargement, promotion etc. that have refused to open to u,will be compelled to open to Him nd in d process,dey wil remain open 2 u. Dis season,all good doors dat re shut against u shall open to u in Jesus name. In Acts 12:5-11, when d angel was delivering Peter,he did not need a key 2 open the door.When Peter rose and followed the angel, the door dat had opened to d angel remained open to Peter also.When the door of d Red sea opened,d children of isreal walked through dry ground in the midst of the sea. But how did d sea part? Psalm 114:3 says when d Red sea saw the Almighty God coming,it grew legs and fled;dat was how d children of Israel were able to have a thoroughfare in the sea. Doors cannot remain permanently shut to u. In fact, dey have no choice if dey cannot open bcus it is u, dey will be forced to willingly open bcus of ur divine Visitor. Cry out to God for Him to personally visit u. When He visits u dis season, everything will tremble.

U re addressed by d dressing u put on.If u re dressed up wit earthly clothes,u can only influence d earth.It takes putting on Jesus 2 influence Heaven nd earth.Wat kind of clothes re u putting on? Revelation 19:5-8 describes d special dress d bride of Jesus wil wear on d last day.It is goin 2 be a white,clean nd beautiful linen dress. "And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen,clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints"Revelations 19:8. From d above scripture,we see dat dere is a link btw one's state of righteousness nd d dress one is wearing.In Heaven nd in eternity,ur dressing wil speak of ur righteousness.In dose days,Christians were known not necessarily by their verbal confessions nd claims,but by their dressing nd modest adornment.Today,u can take some ministers for street urchins nd take some minister's wives for women of easy virtues.Sister,if u attract rapists 2 yourself by ur indecent dressing,don't blame God.Do not dress in ways dat will attract such to u. Similarly,Revelation 19:11-14 tells us d kind of dress d Bridegroom would wear. His dressing reflects His righteousness as well as d battle He is going into.It is important to be well dressed for every occasion.Wen u re going to dine wit d King of Kings,ur dressing should reflect it: u should be in ur best.Ur dressing will show ur attitude to d Lord nd dat can also affect wat u receive 4rm d Lord's Table.Wen u re going to evangelise,hw do u dress? If u re going for a very important interview,u can be assured dat u will be assessed partially by ur dressing.Wen u re going to offer God's greatest gift to man - salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,u must dress in clean,decent nd presentable clothes.If ur dressing reflects poverty u re not likely to convert dose who seriously mind being poor.Dey may turn u back 4 fear of being "infested" with poverty.U do not need to be extravagant either: let ur dressing open the door 4 discussion wit unbelievers.

Hw u re dressed determines hw u re received or treated.Ur dressing is a part of ur identity.Hw u dress equally affects ur Kingdom walk.In 2 Kings 1:1-8,wen d king was sick,he sent some pple 2 enquire if he would recover or die. Dey met Elijah who told dem dat it was a sickness unto death.In order 2 verify d authenticity of dat prophecy,d King asked 4 d name of d prophet but dey couldn't tell bcus he did not disclose his name.But by d time dey described d type of clothes he wore,d king immediately knew it was Elijah.Does ur dressing portray u as a child of God? If u as a minister of God were 2 dress in regular clothes nd not priestly robe or cassock,would ur dressing showcase u as a servant of d Most High God? If u compare wat John the Baptist wore in Matthew 3:1-4 wit wat Elijah wore,u would find some resemblance.Who do u resemble wen u dress? How is ur hairdo? Wat of ur beard? How do u adorn urself wit jewellery - moderate or loud? Wat kind of dresses do u put on? Wen Moses fled 4rm Egypt 2 Midian after killin 1 of d Egyptians,he met d daughter of d priest of Midian nd helped dem.Wen dey got home earlier dan usual,deir father asked y dey were back home so soon.Dey said it was bcus dey received protection nd help 4rm an Egyptian (Exodus 2:15-20).He was taken 4 an Egyptian bcus he dressed like one.If u dress like d world,wat follows worldly attires will equally follow u. Worldly fashion is controlled by d lust of d flesh, d lust of d eyes nd d pride of life according to 1 John 2:16. Don't be surprised 2 see pride nd worldly lust gaining ground in ur life if u re given 2 worldly fashion.If u re obsessed wit d latest fashion nd style,rather dan runnin d heavenly race u were called into,u will find urself running a race dat God didn't call u to. D unfortunate thing abt dis is dat dose who re given 2 worldly fashion share a common destiny wit wat dey re given to. Are u following fashion or Christ?V

D Holy Spirit just like d wind can move gently or massively.lf u can cooperate wit Him,He can do incredible things through u.Dis is y Ephesians 3:20 says: "Now unto him dat is able 2 do exceeding abundantly above all dat we ask or think, according 2 d power dat worketh in us". Whenever u ask God 2 do something 4 u or through u,He will look inside u 2 know hw much of His Spirit u carry. He may not do beyond wat d measures of His Spirit within u can accommodate. So, if u re praying 4 mighty move of God but u have a little measure of His Spirit in ur life,u re praying amiss.If u want God 2 answer ur prayer,first work on yourself by getting more nd more of His presence,power nd grace through spending more time with d Holy Spirit; developing a better personal relationship with Him; praising, thanking nd worshipping Him in spirit nd in truth; feasting daily on His Word; living holy and living in total obedience 2 His voice, etc. Jude 1vs20 points us 2 d fact dat it is our personal responsibility 2 build up ourselves.It is ur duty 2 build up ur spirit man.To do dis, u must increase ur level of faith by hearing God's Word nd listening only 2 things dat edify, nd watching television programmes dat stir up ur faith.U must keep off anything dat is sinful both in words nd in thoughts.U must pray in tongues as long as possible daily.Lots of revelations,inner witnesses nd certain knowledge can come 2 u through dis. How re u building up ur spirit man? It is like building a house: one block is put on another before another block is added nd dey re all firmly attached each time.But as u re adding a block of obedience in worship,do not dismantle d block of witnessing or else u re building downwards not upwards.How re u building up d little fire in u? Is it growing into a big, mighty fire?

One weapon available to us as soldiers in God's army which is honoured in Heaven,on earth nd beneath d earth,nd a weapon dat can never fail us is d name of Jesus. Another weapon we must always use is d sword of d Spirit which is d word of God. Whenever God's word is correctly applied 2 a given situation,d Holy Spirit skilfully uses d sword 2 deliver victory in dat situation.Hebrews 4:12says, "For d word of God is quick,and powerful,and sharper dan any two edged sword,piercing even 2 d dividing asunder of soul nd spirit,nd of d joints nd marrow,nd is a discerner of d thoughts nd intents of d heart". D word of God is spirit nd alive.It is full of power,extremely sharp nd operates in every plane of existence - physical, spiritual, intellectual, psychological, physiological, financial, biological, etc. It is not limited by time nd space,so it can be sent to address a problem in d past or create a good outcome in d future. D word of God can affect d tripartite constituents of man - spirit, soul nd body. D word discerns d thoughts nd plans of human heart just like d Holy Spirit searches out d thoughts nd plans in God's heart (1 corinthians 2:9-11). If u re conversant wit d word by learning it,memorising it,meditating on it,preaching it to win souls regularly nd obeying it,whenever u apply it 2 a situation,it will search d hearts of ur hearers nd give u feedback.Dis is y at some point,u wil be speaking out deir hearts nd dey wil think somebody who knows dem has gone to tell u abt dem. Nobody told u. It is just d word in action! Never joke wit d Bible! It is more dan a literature book.It is more dan just d world's best selling book.It is not just men's words but was scripted by d Holy Spirit. D word written by d Spirit is made spirit whenever d Holy Spirit takes it over. Draw closer 2 d word of God so dat u can be more victorious.

In john 15:1-8,Jesus Christ says He is d vine nd everyone who is born-again is a branch of dat tree.If u let His word abide in u,dere wil b no reason 2 worry abt fruitfulness.If u re asked 2 stay in a house,u first need is 2 locate d house.If u discover u re some distance 4rm d house,u must carefully trace it until u find it.Psalm 34:10says," young lions do lack,nd suffer hunger:but dey dat seek d LORD shall not want any good thing". Children,success,promotion,good health,etc. are good things,if u seek d Lord,u won't lack dem bcus Hebrews 11:6 says God rewards dose who diligently seek Him. We re assured in Matthew 7:7-8 dat if we seek,we shall find.It is important 2 find wat u re seeking.Not everyone who seeks will find wat he or she is seeking for. Dis is y we must take Isaiah 55:6 seriuzly: "Seek ye d LORD while He may be found,call ye upon Him while He is near:" D seeker must seek at d right time.If d timing is wrong,u re likely not going 2 find Him.Proverbs 8:17 says,u must seek Him early in order 2 find Him. If u put God first,u wil most likely find Him.Some pple seek God wen it is already late.It is important 2 seek Him first thing in d morning,b4 u go 2 work,b4 takin dat new job,b4 u get married,etc. Do not be like dose who procrastinate by sayin dey wil seek God only after dey hav prospered or obtained deir heart's desire.In addition,u must knock on d door. Matthew 7:7-8 says if u knock,d door will open 2 u.If u knock acceptably,u wil provoke d Lord 2 open d door 2 u.In fact, Revelation 3:7 says He can permanently open a door 2 u nd ensure nobody shuts it.How re u knocking 2day? One powerful knock wit praise nd worship can compel Him 2 open d door.It could also be through giving.It could be through thanksgiving. Arise and knock d pearly gate today nd it wil be opened 2 u.

What we see depends mainly on what we look for. It is true that our expectations and perspectives in the way that we view things tend to create our life experience. Look for the good and value that is to be found in every individual, circumstance or situation, and that is what you will find.  Look for the down side, problems and frustrations that are also often inherent in them, and that can quickly become the sum total of your experience of them. Continuing to focus on the positive elements and opportunities for growth and understanding, and making a conscious choice to maintain that perspective, will pave the way for the happiness, peace and joy that you seek...and, which is always available. Sound too simple? Well, it really IS that simple!       I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13. O taste and see that the Lord our God is good! Blessed happy, fortunate, to be envied is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him. Psalm 34:8.Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye your conscience is sound and fulfilling its office, your whole body is full of light; but when it is not sound and is not fulfilling its office, your body is full of darkness. Jesus / Luke 11:34. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe... Ephesians 1:17-19.

God blesses all His children,bt while d uncommitted receive a trickle of such blessings.Dose who re committed 2 God re His favourites.God can do anytin 4 dem. Apart 4rm being God's jewels,God wil specially protect dem nd use dem 2 make a statement 2 d world.If u re committed 2 d Lord nw nd it seems u re not getting anytin 4rm it,do nt b discouraged bcus sooner rather dan later,d difference btw u nd oda believers who re nt committed wil b very obvious. Moreover d committed have 1 place where God has made reservations 4 dem - at d top.If u re committed 2 God in divine assignment,u wil stand b4 kings(Proverbs 22:29).If u look @ d story of Phinehas recorded in Numbers 25:6-13,u wil discover dat commitment can earn u divine favour nd positively pave way 4 ur future generations.If u re worried abt d future of ur children,sow 2 God in commitment tru out ur lifetime,nd u can b assured dat wen u re gone,God wil continue wit dem 4rm where He stopped wit u.Ur greatest security 4 d future is commitment. Anoda benefit of commitment stated in Exodus 23:25 is dat it brings blessings on ur provisions nd removes sicknesses 4rm u.If sickness is removed 4rm u,u re left wit good health.Similarly,Isaiah 54:17-18 says commitment makes u untouchable by causing d weapons of ur enemies 2 lose deir effects.If u re not committed nd u claim d above promises,u may be disappointed.Commitment helps u key into God's promises.Anoda benefit here is dat commitment can give u 100 fold returns on wateva u sacrificed in d course of ur assignment nd it also secures ur eternal placement.Wateva u sacrifice 4 God's Kingdom comes back 2 u.Commitment makes God 2 entrust u wit precious things dat He would normally hav kept 2 Himself.If u re low in commitment,u re only cheating ur self in so many ways.Resolve 2 move up on ur level of commitment today!

If you bow to JESUS CHRIST now on earth, sanctified with a pure heart and worship Him, you will make heaven and live with Him, but if you don't bow now, you will still bow in hell; which is better?
