Why is the JTF more interested in bombing the niger delta than bombing Koko haram? John Togo's demand is more reasonable than the demand of Boko' RAM'. The Niger delta issue is a right and not a privilege . The oil companies came to destroy the environment and render their fishing job useless and the people became jobless. Naturally the oil has to create alternative means of income for them. Unlike Boko haram whose demands have no meaning. They should be bombed as well. If JTF could discover all the militant hide out in the creek, they should discover their hide out too. Is it because of the Bunkery activities that the JTF is doing in the Niger delta. It is obvious that northern leaders are sponsoring Boko Haram so as to use them to negotiate. What has the election of GEJ got to do with their demand when they detonated bombs on the day of inauguration. There will be a balance of terror very soon. Since the life in Afganistan is their role model, we will cut them off so that they can name their country Afganistan. If only John Togo can resist JTF for several months and kill so many soldiers, imagine what will happen if all of us take a unanimous decision to fight the northerners. We are only according GEJ his God given opportunity to rule this country. |
you don't know this guy, the day he moves to PDP mark the end of his political career in delta central. He knows |
Change is a constant phenomenon that is bound to occur, no wonder science put it that everything on earth tend to obey law of diminishing return over time. We know that power corrupt but absolute power will only corrupt the unwise one absolutely because political power is transient, it is transferred from one person to another. It is only a fool that will assume a particular phenomenon to be consistent forever, not even the climate will remain the same forever because changes are bound to occur. That bring me to the fundamental question ‘what was Bankole thinking when he suspended Melaye, Aquinaqui and others without pay and disgraced them openly on the floor of the house’. Even when their purported suspension was invalidated by the court, Bankole did not allow them to enter the house there by depriving the people of Ugheli federal constituency representation for several months. All protest and appeal made by the people fell into deaf ears. Bankole and the Melaye group, who is laughing now? Until they forced themselves into the house with a court order, Bankole and his group bluntly refuse to allow these lawmakers to carry out their legislative duty. It is obvious that the Melaye group have been vindicated on their allegation of corruption against Bankole. I don’t know why they graduated from stealing millions to Billion. Is this the kind of government that will put food on the table of the common man? In fact, Nigeria is a sick country that require major operation to correct its numerous anomaly .The decentralization of power from the federal government will be a very good starting point or outright splitting of this country will do a lot to facilitate accelerated development. |

You are from Dahomy, no wonder you don't know Daily Independent news paper. Let me use this opportunity to remind GEJ that the carrot and stick approach he want to use for those people from Chad will lead to the formation of the monvement for the emancipation of Agbero and area boys in the southern Nigeria wish will be more difficult to handle so that they can get their own carrot too. If non Nigerians from Chad can get carrot from our oil money why will the area boys not get carrot? |
I mean Shehu of Borno. This is not a joke, check www.dailyindependent.com. Are you also from Chad or Niger Rep. cos it is difficult to differentiate you people now even the Shehu now cannot even differentiate Borno indigin because they have one name in common which is Boko Haram |
It is very unfortunate that an Itsekiri man was used by Tinubu to propergate his agenda. Awolowo lives in the mind of Itsekiri people and he means a lot to Itsekiri nation even in death. I therefore join well meaning Itsekiri people to denounce Omatseye and his pay masters for trying to drag the name of our immortal leader to the mold. I am at lost as to what they seek to achieve by that article. |
The Shewu of Borno has accused aliens who migrated from Chad and Cameroon as those behind Boko Haram attacks. He said the ideology of Boko Haram is alien to their culture and called on security agents to tighten security at the boarder. Meanwhile, southerners in Maiduguri have started relocating back to the south as the governor of Borno state is set to give in to one of the demands of Boko Haram to adopt Sharia system of government. There are indications too that the people of the Niger Delta may also demand for their own system of government which 100% resource control and true federalism. |
enyojo:I get infuriated each time I hear the word ONE NIGERIA. What is one in Nigeria? It is not difficult to divide Nigeria. It is just a matter of decision. If we decide today that we don't want to be part of Nigeria, there is nothing the northerners can do about it. You have not been to the creek of the Niger delta that is why you are talking like this. The day I saw the oil well own by Danjuma and the life of the people living beside the oil well, I would have exploded the well if I had a rocket launcher with me that very day |
While it is not impossible for those sponsoring Boko Haram to sponsor the kidnap to make a point, I want to say here that this is just a rehears er of things to come. We have told the government before now to scrap NYSC or let every body serve in their state. But GEJ said no. He undermined the calls by online people to scrap the NYSC. I have said it before now that if GEJ refuse to accept our call, we will scrap it by our selves by killing northern youth coppers serving in the Niger delta. The online community should not be taken for granted because every categories of persons are found here. The Jomogbomo of this world are here, the Cyntia White of this world are here. If they are Hausa Fulani corppers, they should be killed to serve as deterrent to others to stop coming to the south to serve. They should serve in their Alimajiri community. Mark my word, if they are not Hausa Fulani coppers, nothing will happen to them. |
This are all happening because of Jonathan Presidency, they are being sponsored, they also bought the password of MEND and they are using it to operate. By the time we share this country the blast will stop. I know the evil genius might just be playing every body like draft. Musiwa foresaw that there will be war in Nigeria but some fools and suspected Boko Haram operatives in this forum are trying to derail the process. |
Ijaws have just two alternatives, either to join the Republic of Benin or Biafra, otherwise it may be a difficult journey for them. I know they will prefer to join the Benin Rep. |
Let them move to Abuja to detonate more bombs so that Jonathan can relocate to Bayelsa to facilitate the sharing of Nigeria for good. Up Boko Haram, help us to share Nigeria and have your Islamic republic |
This page is dedicated to suggestion on how best to share Nigeria peacefully without blood shared. If you are not interested in the sharing of this country don't bother to post here, if you post here, it automatically implies that you have supported the ideal of sharing this country peacefully let every one develop at their own pace. I know the NSA might be peeping into our discussion here but I do know too that if he does not support what we are doing here openly , his spirit is in support of it because as the leaders of tomorrow, we are trying to create a better future for his children an grand children. I know he must be very much aware of the reason why Gusau was removed and he was appointed. He should also realize that if this is not done peacefully, our common enemy will conspire to kill him and GEJ in office. So we want suggestion on how best we can separate and how the different republic can have bilateral relation towards economic development. I hope you are all aware that project Nigeria has failed with the killing of our people Just because Jonathan was elected. This is serious business we are not here to play, do not allow those who have less than ten years to die to deceive you, we are the leaders of tomorrow and we must dictate how we want our future to be. I hope you remeber that Turai Yaradua almost hand over to her younger brother who is a military officer but because the boys rank was too low it was not successful. After GEJ do you know what the Hausas will do? so it is better to start the planning now because these people appears to prefer military government to civilian government so that they can create more states in the desert and use our oil money to fund them |
O boy, see ma gallant men from Niger delta, If we vex, Hausa go give us chance. Them never know wetin dey. This wan we dem submit na jara. |
What Nigeria are you people talking about here, so you people still see nigeria as a nation and be talking of Shekarau, buhari , blablabla. Nigeria has divided since the very day that innocent Ibo girl was divide into two separate parts by Buhari Almajiris. Before 2015, ACN will change to ACBR(ACTION CONGRESS OF BENIN REP). A country where Niger Deltans cannot go to some part of it and sleep with their two eyes close. Boko Haram said they don't want to progress, if you continue with them, that means you want to remain backward with them. Ibos are very creative they can make progress without Hausa. What you people should be talking about now is how to make Rochas Okorocha president of Biafra republic by 2015. Not this nonsense talk about Nigeria, what is Nigeria. After 50 years the only achievement is Boko Haram. Can't you see that the Hausas are not interested in the development of Nigeria. At this point people are talking of how to move this thing called Nigeria forward, they are talking about zoning and how to seize power from Jonathan. All they are interested in is how to occupy Aso rock and steal as much oil money as possible that will sustain them and their arab brothers for 8 years and seize it again. They don't even care to know whether the oil will dry one day. |
This is an undiluted Itsekiri history from Itsekiri web site. I think this has confirmed my earlier position that some Yorubas from Ijebu-Ode, Akure, Owo, Ugbo and Igala from Nupe where living in the communities before the prince arrived from Benin and he was adopted as the King. They all came together to form a kingdom. In fact Itsekiris are delta Yorubas. |
Who Are The Itsekiri? Close Window The Itsekiri are a peculiar and unique people in the Nigerian Niger delta. They have inhabited their homeland, which now constitutes the three Warri Local Government Areas of Delta State, Nigeria, for centuries. The Itsekiri have rich traditional and cultural practices. Itsekiri modern history dates from the late fifteenth century when the Itsekiri people adopted a prince from Benin Kingdom as their monarch. Prior to this time, Itsekiri lived independently in different communities that included Irigbo, Ureju, Omadino and Ugborodo. With the arrival of the prince and adoption of the monarchy. These communities coalesced to become a Kingdom. The current monarch is Ogiame Atuwatse II, who was crowned at an impressive ceremony in 1987. History reveals that in several waves of migration before the 15th Century, and some a little later, groups from Igala in Nupe country came in through the creeks; Yoruba from ljebu-Ode, Akure and Owo found their way into parts of the Kingdom and a group from Aboh also came in. Some along the coast came in through Gulani/Amatu. Historically, the ltsekiri have a monarchy, over 500 years old, and which, as a rallying point in their society, remains its supreme government. From 1480 to now, there have reigned 19 Olu of Warri: five Olus of the pre-Christian era; 1480 - 1597: eight Roman Catholic Olus from 1597-1735, and six Olus of the post-Roman Catholic Christian era. Atuwatse I, baptized as Dom Domingo reigned between 1625 and 1643, having studied in Coimbra University in Portugal for eleven years where he obtained a degree. The first-ever church monastery built in what today is Nigeria was erected in Big Warri (Ode-ltsekiri) before 1700 and was christened Saint Anthony (today, the site is known as Satone). As an ethnic nationality, the Itsekiri people are a micro-minority in Delta State. Estimated at over 450,000, Itsekiri is one of the five distinct ethnic nationalities in Delta State, Nigeria. The Itsekiri ancient Kingdom of Warri dates back to the 15th century. Their 1,520 square mile homeland, known over time in history as Iwere or Awyri, Warree, Aweri and Wari etc, had diplomatic, Christian and trade relations with Medieval Europe between the 16th and 18th centuries. It became a prominent trade centre within the Oil Rivers Protectorate. Obaro Ikime, a prominent historian described the Itsekiri homeland as follows: "The Itsekiri inhabit the North Western extremity of the Niger Delta in area bounded approximately by latitudes 50 20 and 60 N and longitudes 50 5 and 50 40 East. Their neighbors are Bini to the North, the Ijaw to the South, the Urhobo to the East and the Yoruba of Ondo province to the North - West." ( Obaro Ikime Phd Merchant Prince of the Niger Delta, 1968). The following also appeared in the footnote of Professor Allan Ryder's, book, Benin and Europeans 1485-1897 {page 108. "A.S.C. Scritture originali vol. 249 F328} - many varieties of the spelling of Iwere (Itsekiri word) appear in European documents. In the twentieth century English version - Warri has become the most common and will be used in future for the Kingdom of Itsekiri" A highly cultured people, over the centuries they had impressive trade and cultural links with different people and these ties helped to broaden and enrich their cultural life. The Itsekiri were among the first to have contact with the Portuguese traders in the 16th Century. Traditionally, the ltsekiri are fishermen and traders. The promotion of economic activity was a major pre-occupation of the ltsekiri monarch from the 16th Century. The fact that there existed a kingdom was important in the decision of the Europeans to do business with the ltsekiri. (Europeans tended to go to areas, which had a political system that could guarantee peaceful trade). The early contacts of the Itsekiri with medieval Europe, especially Portugal, helped to foster a conservative Christian education and civilization in Itsekiriland and the people remain proud of this historical circumstance. The coastal location of the kingdom and accessible waterways and rivers did not only lead to the early contacts of the Itsekiri with medieval Europe, especially Portugal and foster a conservative Christian education and civilization, but it led to its significant prosperity between the sixteenth and nineteenth centuries as trade with neighboring ethnic groups and Europeans flourished. These interactions also led to an Itsekiri prince, christened Domingo, going to study in Portugal for eleven years in the seventeenth century and returning as the first Itsekiri to graduate from college. Itsekiri prosperity proved to be a fertile environment for the emergence of prominent Itsekiri leaders like several kings or Olu. They include, Diare, Olomu and Nanna. The latter three all serving as Governors of Benin River. However, unlike in the past when prosperity from their homeland propelled the Itsekiri people to glorious heights, recent riches have paradoxically become bane to them. Not only has exploitation of crude oil in the area debilitated the ecosystem and destroyed local trades and economies, from 1997 to 2003, Itsekiri were victimized by some of its violent neighbors. |
Asaba is a liability to delta state, that is why we are fighting for the creation of new delta state with head quarter in Warri or Ugheli |
