phaamsaam:We get it. What your midget did in 2012 was phenomenal and he has deservedly received plaudits for his great feat. But we can't keep getting nostalgic of what he did in 2012 when beasts like Ronaldo is leading his team to major titles and Kane is scoring for fun in 2017. Let him at repeat that feat or at least do something similar. |
phaamsaam:You mean the same player who won the ballon d'or just a few weeks ago and was crowned the best footballer in the world about a month ago. How ever is that possible? |
phaamsaam:From "In 2017, Messi is the player with most goals, assist... to Since 2012...". Chai, Harry Kane, it won't be well with those legs of yours which you used to usurp the leprechaun. |
phaamsaam:Fine footballer, but with a very weak mentality. No wonder he hasn't and won't ever win a ballon d'or. |
tesppidd:Hehe. I have long been waiting for this day when CR7 would be scooping the major awards and Messi fans in their desperate attempt to be happy with their midget start listing insignificant awards. 442 best player, Sky sports best payer... why not add complete sports player of the year to his accolades. |
Chai, I am starting to feel sorry for the midget. His only significant achievement of being the top scorer of 2017 has been forcefully taken by Kane. |
usbcable:Not forgetting the two supercup trophies we won early in the season. Anyways, with the league out of our grasp, I expect the boys to go all out for the UCL. I am sure Zizou and the boys know what's at stake. |
...and that's how we threw away the title. |
usbcable:Splendid year we have had, we surely deserve it. |
Neymar1095:One of the few sensible comments we will get to see from this moniker. I suggest y'all should cherish it. |
jonsnow92:Hehe. Why not build a time machine so that you can go back to 09 and relive that moment? |
I am starting to feel sorry for PSG. What my boys will do that day...
|
Neymar1095:Just like Barca fans thought he will never leave. Face it, your boy will become a galactico soon after his attempts to lead PSG to UCL glory becomes futile. |
...and I really wanted this to be a semi or final tie. Anyways, I am confident of our chances of progressing to the next round. |
tesppidd:But...but...but...cold and hot balls. |

An inconsequential award to keep Barca fans happy. At least it's better than nothing. |
barackodam:Let him win the world cup first, then maybe we will have a rethink. Until then... |
Nihilist:EPIC!! |
Utter hogwash. I eat that combination(spag, egg, and banana) almost every week and I am still alive and kicking. |
hardeycute:Walahi. |
Ah, Barca low key dropping points and is set to drop more after Umtiti's injury. My God is not asleep. |
Nigeria's WC group is harder than it looks on paper. Argentina always seem to have the upper hand when we meet in international tourneys no matter how well we play, Croatia will be tough to beat as they have some skillful players, and Iceland are no pushovers judging from their exploits during last year's EURO. We will have our hands full come next year's WC. I don't fancy our team's chances of going far in the WC, but I do hope and pray that they surprise me. I can't wait! |
VivaLaByke:Hehe, you wish. My boy ready to deliver the best WC performance since Maradona in '86. |
Congrats to Messi on winning his fourth European golden boot award; a commendable feat from an astounding footballer! We are truly blessed to witness him and the Portuguese beast in the same era. What's funny though is that this same player whose fans obstinately claim that the current best footballer in the world doesn't hold a candle to, and is always playing catch up to, is the one that has finally caught up to CR in an individual accolade. Now, all that is left is for him to match CR's Uefa best player award, FIFA's The best, UCL tops corer award tally, UCL goals count(total and for Madrid only), and many more individual awards and records that my busy mind can't remember tonight. While he is at it, let him lead his teams to back to back UCL titles and an international title since his fanatics brazenly claim that 'there's so much to god-Messi's game than goals , and he's the best striker, AMF, CMF, LB and whatnot' That wouldn't be too much to ask from a "god" and the so called greatest ever, would it? |
Neymar1095:Hehehe. One for the god-Messi coccksuckers about Messi being more than just a goalscorer and their banal diatribe about CR7 being a penalty box player. I wonder how he mesmerizes the fans and creates openings when he is being dispossessed. |
tesppidd:What could be tougher than getting Napoli>>Bayern>>Atletico>>Juventus en route defending their title. My boys are used to these so called tough situations. That being said, getting Besiktas in the R16 wouldn't be a bad idea They must be a very tough team for them to top their group. |
tesppidd:I understand bro. For every Barca fan, Madrid not winning the UCL for the 3rd consecutive season should be number one priority this season. Real winning for a third year in a row would be unthinkable, but what can I say, what will be will be; you cannot change destiny. Real has been destined to dominate football for years to come and another UCL title is near. |
So it's been over a year since Messi last scored an away goal in the UCL, and it's been a while since he last scored a goal; I can imagine the amount of articles that would have been rolling in had it been a certain Portuguese plying his trade in Madrid. I can remember a couple of years back when CR had an away goal drought in the league en route Madrid's away R16 UCL tie against Schalke and these so called pundits were already dishing out articles of his inability to perform in away games. I remember CR making these football analysts look stupid when he was asked about this and asked these analysts to name one player who had scored more goals than him since he arrived in Spain. I can also remember how he made his critics look like befuddled idiots when it took him just a few minutes to notch up the first goal of that away tie. I guess you can never keep a great man down. For the haters and "pundits" gloating over Madrid being 10 points behind and CR7 having just a goal in a few games after coming back from suspension, all I can say is for y'all to hold on to your horses. It is not over yet. |
tesppidd:So what if we get Besiktas in the next round? Does that secure the UCL title if we beat them? I thought y'all would have outgrown this way of thinking after Madrid went back to back defeating both the weakest and strongest teams en route making history...I guess some things never change. |
tesppidd:Umtiti can't be 23, not with the way he plays. His true age will catch up with him eventually. |
''...2nd one's my signature.'' penguin is a lunatic ![]() |
tesppidd:Unlike 'up barka' fans whose IQ has been proven to be below room temperature, I am smarter than that. But trust me, there will surely be a 6th for my boy. |
