Thanks so much. You have been really helpful.

giselle237:
Dad writes a letter happily explaining what he is sponsoring and why
Sister also writes a long letter to explain who they are to her, where they are coming to, why they are coming, for how long, what she is offering and how happy she is to do that, when they are leaving and where to after the duration of the whole trip.
Add all appropriate documents for each applicant, those asked and those not asked for.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Kriff: 8:59pm On Sep 01, 2021
Thank you for your response. Actually the 1M is for each person. There is about 5.5M in total in my dad's account as savings. I would add my sister's documents, but the same evidence of sponsor is not asked for in my dad's checklist, so I figured out that it was because I clicked that a sponsor (my father) would be handling travelling cost of my mum that made them ask for those documents.

Also, my father should write a sponsorship letter to be added to my mum's application right?

Thank you.

giselle237:
Each person’s form is separate so separate the costs. I am assuming the 1m is for both of them so lets say 500 per head so fill 500 on each form as cost personally to the person or so. Do not join both costs in one.
The evidence tht sponsor will not be in breach... add your sister’s british passport or brp or ilr paper etc whatever paper she has to legally reside in the UK.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Kriff: 8:15pm On Sep 01, 2021
Hello everyone.

I am assisting my parents fill their visit Visa application. They are been invited by my sister in the UK; however, she would only be catering for their accommodation and feeding. My father would be handling their flight ticket to and fro for himself and my mother.

While filling the application for my mother, I indicated that my father (her husband) would be handling the travelling cost, and the budget is 1 million. Then I noticed that in the document checklist, one of the documents requested is "*evidence that your sponsor is not, or will not be, in breach of uk immigration laws at the time of your visit"

Please who understands what this means because my father is also based in Nigeria and they are travelling together? I didn't add my sister's details as the sponsor since she is only helping with accommodation and feeding.

I would appreciate your insight. Thank you.

Not a problem. Accept the ITA and ensure to submit your application only after your work experience has clocked the actual 3 years. There has been quite a lot of similar cases, and they did this and eventually got their PPR without any issue. Cheers.

What happens if you create your EE profile in March, with 3 year's work experience. But it's actually like 2 years, 10 months. Then they do a draw and you are picked?
Same March, but based on 3 year's work experience that you stated. Any repercussions?

Hello House,

I have a Bachelor degrer but in my school, we go through leadership classes as well during the undergraduate level. So upon graduating from school, I got my Bachelor in Engineering certificate and a Diploma in Leadership Development Certificate. So can I pick 2 or more degrees; Diploma and Bachelor?

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 10:28am On Oct 30, 2018
You don't necessarily have to a US visting visa to counter travel history. People without travel history still get their TRV.

I studied Chemical Engineering so I can easily understand when you say your Bachelor is quite relating to Chemical engineering. Apart from what Frank said, relate your IT experience to Chemical engineering (that should be easy). Talk about what you learnt and how it has made you love Chemical engineering and how it will impact your next academic level. Also, your 3 months computer programming can also help you here. After all, there is programming in chemical engineering also. Relate what you're learning there to Chemical engineering. You just need to twist words in your favour. If you write all these, then you are sure going to write more than a page and this time it won't be vague.

Good luck.
ghabrhiel10:
Letter of motivation here is the same as SOP I wrote but it was very short(single page), my fault though. The course I'm going for is quite related to my bachelor's degree course though I made 2.2. I chose chemical engineering because I've always had interest in industrial production and drug production, uses, action and effects of drugs(pharmacology), I even had my industrial training in a producing company. The VO misunderstood a 3 months computer program I was doing as a job. Please can getting an US visiting visa help in tackling lack of travel history in my own case? This Canada process is just so stressful cry cry
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 8:20am On Oct 30, 2018
That's possible though.
mightyola:
I think he wrote a statement of purpose and not a letter of motivation. Bear in mind that he translated the notes from french to English, sometimes you don't get the exact word in verbatim.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 8:12am On Oct 30, 2018
Sorry about the denial. The VO is quite blunt though but that is because you were not convicing enough.
How many months have you being working prior to your submission?
You were working in what field?
How many pages was your letter of motivation?
What was your reason (s) for choosing to go for that course?
Letter of motivation, as I know, is always a short letter and why did you choose to write letter of motivation instead of Statement of Purpose or Personal statement?
ghabrhiel10:
No evidence of travel history presented. The applicant completed a bachelor's degree in biochemistry in 2015 and has been working since April 2018. He now wants to start a three year program in chemical engineering techniques at the Mohawk College at an estimated cost of 26,284 Cad/year. The applicants letter of motivation is succinct and vague; it does not demonstrate the relevance of such studies at such a cost in Canada. Therefore for all the reasons mentioned above, I am not satisfied that the applicant is a bona-fide student who meets the requirements of the IRPA and who will leave Canada at the end of his/her authorized stay. Request rejected
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 10:30am On Oct 23, 2018
My final advise on financials - Get the company to send your total living expenses to your account. That will solve everything since your brother is handling the tuition part and he has paid one year fees.

Then your SOP should be good too. I've replied your mail though. Goodluck.
Louisanc:
yeah I understand. .. thank you very much..
I will work on that now.

thanks too @Kriff...

I appreciate all your contributions...
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 9:49am On Oct 23, 2018
I think you have to explain why you're going for another Bachelor degree. For the SOA, that won't cause a problem again since you're opting for paper route this time.
Louisanc:
thank you very much...
To be frank my first application I didn't put my SOP when submitting. I scanned the SOA but it was much so I shrink it to get max 4mb
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 9:47am On Oct 23, 2018
Boss, if I'm getting you right, you mean she should deposit the money bit by bit within 1 or 2 weeks? But I think I've seen GCMS Notes where the VO will say "Majority of the funds where deposited with a time frame that was close to the application submission date". Because the money that will be deposited within that time frame will be way above her starting balance In the SO A.
I am not trying to counter your advise but maybe i do not understand what you were saying very well.

Austacus:
If you want to use a third party why not tell the person to give you the money Then you run Your account in 1 or 2 weeks. (your boss).
What I mean by running your account is depositing the money bit by bit To avoid lump amount (am saying this so that you won't repeat what they said in your gcms note)
Your application is not about writing good sop or loe!

Your brother account is good to go, try and talk to your boss. Collect some money from your boss and run your account.
you can make use of your Brothers account statement and your personal account statement.

You waited for your gcms for 1 month. Please try and fix the loopholes you got from your gcms don't rush

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 9:20am On Oct 23, 2018
I was able to read the first pictures you posted and I noticed somethings.

-Recent lump sum deposited in both personal and company's account of your brother. Please give a tangible reason as to why there a recent deposit into that account. If possible show Proof that it was not deposited for the purpose of boosting the account. Then I saw something about poor quality- is it that you didn't scan the bank statements very well? All these made the VO question your sponsorship. Because the VO feels the source of the recent money inside the account is not genuine which means you won't have access to it. So if you have any recent lump sum that entered the account you're using please explain very well the source.

- You Graduated in 2015 right. Meaning almost 3 years study gap Including NYSC. Did you give tangible reasons and explanation of what you were doing within that time frame? Also the VO expected someone with that study gap to have a personal finances. So did you add your personal account?

-Lastly, your SOP is not strong enough. I feel the problem started from here. You didn't convince him enough as to why you're going for another Bachelor degree so every other thing will just call for real scrutiny. A good travel history would have helped but since you don't have any, so he wasn't convinced.

I think you have tackled some of these problems. But please send your SOP to the Gurus in the house. You need a convincing SOP.

I added my CV and Transcript. ..
my company wrote that I will come back n continue with them.... this new family form doesn't have siblings column..
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Kriff: 7:19am On Oct 23, 2018
-You can send over your SOP and LOE if you do not mind. I just want to help proof read it.

-Also It will be good if you can post a screenshot of your GCMS NOTE (The part that shows the comment of the VO and please cover all personal details).

-Also I think it will be good to add your BSc Transcript to show courses you have offered in the past that are relating to Pharmacy (Indirectly showing the VO that you've learnt some aspect of Pharmacy before and you're not totally new to this course and the VO will also have the opportunity to see that you did well in those courses). So once you talk about it in your SOP, you will just direct the VO to your Transcript.

-I noticed that you have a total of 1M (for now) in your account for living expenses. What's the explanation to getting the rest of the funds?

-I don't see any landed property documents. I hope you solved Home ties with other factors like Family and Job prospects. Meaning they must be well ironed out in your SOP/LOE.

-Since you're going for paper route, make sure you add the birth certificate of parents and Siblings. I don't know if you're married and if you're married just add that of your husband, child(ren) and marriage certificate.

- No CV? Please add

- You can go to vfs without booking appointment, you will just have to wait to get a number after they notice that some people are not coming.

Louisanc:
