Probably, when you are applying for visa but for now, no. Just focus on getting a supervisor that will accept you, although, you need money for an application fee when you must have gotten a supervisor. The application fee is usually CAD100 and you'll also take care of your flight ticket should you be admitted.

There are other scholarships you can try out: Australian Research Training Program-it's a fully funded research scholarship, Chinese Government scholarship, Korean Government scholarship: all these scholarships are awarded to a large number each year.
All these alternative scholarship you listed can one get the full scholarship unfunded and what's the requirements? thanks for answering

@ggoldmine, pls do I need much funds in my alc before I could be qualify for the full scholarship?

Of course it is "right and appropriate for a wise and intelligent person to engage in a lengthy argument discussion with others", especially here on a public forum. Note that I cancelled your "argument" though, and replaced it with what "wise and intelligent" people do.

It's a public forum see, so though one discusses with just one other, many others will see one's pearls and learn. And besides, unless one desires to remain stupid and ignorant oneself and fails to consider what oneself is arguing against, one would learn if one uses one's brain while discussing too.

An example is the conversation 12 year old buda is having with my supposedly "wise and intelligent" greyhaired grandpa ivandragon here. Another is the one buda had with "wise and intelligent" Shepherd00 here.

People are not stupid, see. While one discusses, wisely and intelligently, one is scattering one's immensely valuable pearly seeds and letting them fall where they may because the "wise and intelligent" know some will fall along the path and the birds will eat and be full, and some will fall on rocky ground with little soil and be scorched in the sun and die rootless, and some will fall into good soil and grow and increase and produce grain yielding fruit thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold and a thousandfold even.

If you are indeed "wise and intelligent", it's not as if your pearls can be trampled on. And if pigs eat your pearls it is pigs who will choke, so you just make sure your seeds are the pearly "wise and intelligent" type and worry not about the quality of the soil they fall on. You'd never really know which soil is which till you scatter your "wise and intelligent" pearly seeds on them to see if they grow, or not.
You can always make your contribution without insulting someone particularly.
Thanks for your input though..

it is best to keep discussions on the topic & make them short & simple.

however, you often have some dolts like badaatum who make it their business to to insult the opinion of others & while it is often good to ignore such characters, you sometimes have to let them understand that they do not have the monopoly of throwing tantrums.

my practice is this, if I quote a comment & the conversation is getting too long, I let the person have the last say, I think that is fair & proper...

if I am however quoted, especially by rude characters like badaatum, then, I go on for as long as it pleases me or until they learn some manners...
Quite impressive! That's why we're here to learn.
Referring to your last paragraph: What if the person in question refuse to learn some manner, would you insist to continue such unyielding argument with him?

Good evening nairalanders. Pls, I'll love us to have a very important discussion tonight.

Is it right and appropriate for a wise and intelligent person engage in a lengthy argument with others?- Be it your fellow guys or your elderly ones...
Why this questions seems to be coming out is because some set of people see these set of guys( Arguer) quite intelligent folks; others tagged them simply as jobbles guys; To me I see it as a platform where your self worth or self esteem is devalued, especially when your opponent seems to always be perceived right and objective.

What do you think guys??
Logical and critical response only...

It doesn't have a negative effect on your current application once you declared your previous refusal. The visa officer will check if your present situation has changed substantively or you have significant new information in the current application that meets the Acts and legislative requirements for issuance of a study permit.

Accounting and Economics are better, banking & Finance should be scrapped and replaced with Financial management.
That's what you should have said. The banking attached to it is irrelevant, it should have been Finance. That's why it's called finance in abroad and even unilag in Nigeria. But, mind you those guys are studying two different course-Banking and finance. Banking should be removed and leave finance just as oversea countries.

Yeah you will also be given grants but compared to someone in the STEM field, yours will be lesser.

Have you checked? Most people getting scholarships abroad are from this field.

What I'm saying in summary is that, you will have to merit it to get a scholarship meanwhile someone from the science field will easily get one without much stress.

So yes! You can get a scholarship provided you blast your GRE /GMAT and have a good application.
Thanks boss I now understand. so I need to work hard both on my GP and Test exams?

pls I'll like to ask one more question:
I'm planning to apply for masters scholarship in Canada to take the route of industrial master program or course based master program but according to my findings I discover that there's no scholarship for course based master program(that the only way you can finance your program is if it comes with teaching assistance ship),that scholarship is only available for those taking the route of thesis master program.
Now, my question is that I don't know what they mean by "teaching assistance ship", can you throw more light on it? and how do I know if my school of choice has the said " teaching assistance ship". Thank you!

First of all, I'm no sir grin
I'm also a student like you.

I wanna assure you that getting a visa won't be a problem provided you're accepted by the University, people who get denied probably had one or two issues which the Canadian embassy was not comfortable with.

These are countries that are looking for young educated and skilled minds to come and contribute to their economy. Just get at least a 2.1, write GRE, blast it well, and you definitely get scholarships and grants from various schools you applied to, especially if you fall within the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) field.
Hey bro. you only mention that there's high chance for science inclined base graduate to secure Canada visa than others. what about someone from Accounting and finance but has a high GMAT and high University grades?

Good point and God bless you for pointing out facts. That was why I stated that if he had a strong GP and also finds biochemistry interesting, he could travel abroad to further his studies. Furthering his studies abroad can be in 2 ways

1) He can finance himself (maybe personal/parent/relative support)
2) On scholarship

He could particularly research in an area that bridge both biochemistry and medicine. After high school, I wanted to study medicine but of course, with Nigeria universities admission system, I ended up studying mathematics. Even though I still had the passion for medicine, I made sure I took mathematics serious because that was what life was giving me at that moment. Instead of going back to study medicine, I resolved to pursue a career that bridge both mathematics and medicine. Now, I am currently doing my PhD studies in Biomathematics in Europe. I can categorically say that I feel fulfilled because I am still exploring medicine with mathematical tools. My point here is that our destiny lies in our hands and whatever we feel may work for us, we should do. If it goes well, fine, we gain from it. If on the hand, it goes bad (I don't pray for this), it's a lesson; we learn from it.
Good pm sir. pls I've been following your comments here and I noticed you're currently on a PhD programme in Europe. pls there are some few questions I'll like to ask you pertaining to scholarship in Europe. We can discuss about that privately(preferably watsap). my number is 07032494292. I'll as well need your mobile number to chat you up. Thank you!

Sorry to say that you were ill-advised as there is no iota truth in what this 'your so-called adviser' told you. You might end up in the class-room only if you studied Finance in education. You have a very good grade in Finance, still young in age if i guessed correctly and have a good prospect to work with investment banks, CBN etc. My candid advice for you is to apply for M.sc in Finance and that would enhance your exposure in finance rather going for an MBA which is basically designed for highly experienced business managers or executives. Besides, while enrolled in M.sc Finance you could enroll for CFA exams ; CFA is the climax of Finance certification, it is highly marketable globally and i advise you consider this certification rather than MBA for the achievement of your dreamed career.

Do not accept what anyone tells you without personally conducting intensive research/findings especially when it has to do with your career. I wish you a successful career.

Thanks for taking out your time to respond to me ,I really appreciate.
If I get you well, you mention something of me that I'm still young. Well, for that I wouldn't be able to answer that correctly because young age differ to different people (I'd be 26years of age after I'm done with service) so my being young will depend on my employer.
pertaining to studying M. Sc at the expense of MBA, I think I'll give it a try . I need your guide on what to do to enable me secure scholarship immediately after my service- talking about the best and recognizable Canada universities for M. Sc in finance program ,how to get materials for GMAT test, study guide etc.
Another is I don't know if I'll be able to secure job immediately after my M. Sc to top investment banks in Nigeria . if yes, would my age still be taken into consideration then? if yes, what would be my chance of securing my dream job then considering the age I'm now?
About the CFA thingy, I've heard a lot about that too and how rigorous and herculean it is. Do you think employers see CFA more marketable than M. Sc in finance from a reputable institution in Canada . If yes, should I go for it instead? if yes, I need guide on how easy I can smash the exam without stress.
Btw, I have a course mate, we graduated together . He is so intelligent and wants to further as well to Canada but, unfortunately for him he ended up graduating with a 2.1(i.e 4.41 CGPA), strong one. What is his chance of securing scholarship in Canada with that result? Does schools require for your certificate showing your class of degree or your GPA transcript showing your grade point?
Your usual modest response will be appreciated.

Congratulations on your stellar result.

Most times, the MBA is for professionals with not less than 2years work experience.

However, a lot of factors determine whether you will be granted admission or not. These factors include: Your class of degree, GMAT or GRE score and work experience.

But the good thing is, excelling in one aspect could make up for shortfall in others. For instance, if one has several years of significant and rich work experience but a low GMAT score, he could be still be granted admission coz his experiences and outlook on business will be indispensable when contributing in class.

Your own case specifically, since you have an excellent class of degree, try to score well in the GMAT exam (at least a 700) and your lack of experienve could possibly be waived.

But i personally think it is quite early for you to start chasing an MBA tho. Forget the hype and bandwagon opinions, most MBA programs offer a superficial to mid-level exposure on various concepts in the corporate business and entrepreneurship world. It wont give you the indepth specialization you need at this stage of your career. If you peruse the course outline of a typical MBA program, you would see courses that people would, otherwise, have specialized in as an M.Sc program for 2years.

Besides, there is a greater level of understanding through contextualization that comes with having work experience before going for an MBA program.

My point is, why not consider an M.Sc in a finance-related field?
Thanks for that response. I really do appreciate. I'd have consider M. Sc instead of MBA but, I got an information that pursuing M. Sc program mean one wants to end up in a classroom ( I. e lecturing job) which I've never dreamed of. I always have dire passion for corporate world talking of companies like investment banks, CBN and other notable financial institution. ultimately, I was told that my dream can only come true by pursuing further studies on MBA -that it's more preferable in terms of prospect,pay,awe-inspiring experience not to mention a few.
I hope I've been able to convince you on my idea of pursuing one at the expense of other sir?

You have a great point. Honestly in 2018 and beyond, any child going into the university must be properly guided to avoid making professional mistake.

The most salable and viable courses to study in order to stand a chance of surviving in the next 10 - 20 years to come are:

1.) Medicine
2.) Nursing (Bsc o)
3.) Software Engineering
4.) Mechatronics (a combination of Mechanical & Electronics Engineering)
5.) Computer Science (the child must pay total attention to coding, programming and any trending programming courses/training)
6.) Digital Marketing (not Marketing o shocked)
7.) Civil Engineering (he must learn the various trending design software and how to use them efficiently)
8.) Radiography

Courses never to study as at current global trend:

1.) Marketing
2.) Business Administration
3.) Sociology
4.) Petroleum or Petrochemical engineering
5.) Linguistics
6.) Psychology
7.) Botany, Animal science, horticulture, fishery, forestry, zoology, etc
8.) History; who cares about history when Google and Wikipedia now have the global history
9.) Mass Communication
10.) Health Education, Health Science, etc
11.) Public Admin
12.) Political Science; big waste of time and money cry
13.) Microbiology, Biochemistry, etc

If you want to stand a chance of surviving the next 10 years to come, please never go and waste your time studying any of these courses, pls advice your little ones too.
I was just watching you people mentioning medicine, bla bla bla. you forgot to mention Banking and finance or Accounting. Tell me an organization that doesn't need a financial analyst or accountant?
