@invisible Me sef don helep you modify for where I quote you.I adjust your erroneus 1.5 mil to 1.5 bil.As you sef done do. Had to mention it as it irked my brain ![]() |
invisible!:

Maybe UBA is finally pushing its weight around.Shebi the word is they invested deeply into Transcorp IPO? Perhaps its the non-performance of Transcorp that has hitherto affected the inertia of UBA's price,considering its(UBA) great fundamentals,neverminding the so-called high nominal price. |
invisible!:Agreed."Suspect",not "conclude". @Wanajo or other ear-to -the -ground guru,fit come now to talk say "outstanding item" or such like,dey for the result. Hence the needed financial anaysis before crusifixion ![]() |
@aktopgun Awful profit margin,agreed But not in itself a conlusion of mago mago.This was the only area of dissenting opinion. |
blueband:Perhaps it simply was a bad year and not mago mago. What if a company declares a loss and not profit.It happens,doesn't it. Their meagre profit should rather be investigated by looking at the accounts,e.t.c.-things that the financial analysts best no how to do. ![]() |
blueband: blueband:Ol' boy,no joke with research scientists in animal intellect. @Pumping Thanks.Very clear.I presume there is no wahala of verification and that sort of thing. Meanwhile I'm saddened,No wonder ZSL research paper have Diamonds price projections as they do.(Dont know how to lift data from one place to another,otherwise would have pasted this).I'm toast.Didn't factor this dilusion when I was busy hankering for Diamond shares 2 weeks back. : . . . . . . . . . 13 billion shares outstanding! What have I done? |
@Pumping Abeg answer my question to you please.Several posts up.Thanks. |
@Pumping777 Hi.Could you please explain how selling GDR would DILUTE already existing shares.You mentioned this in the example of Diamond bank I have Diamond with roughly 8 billion plus outstanding shares before the GDR offer,which I felt was pretty advantageous allowing for current EPS of,I think,N1.10. How then does GDR sales affect?Does the sale of GDR translate to conversion to new shares? |
blueband:E be like say you no sound the CAVEA EMPTOR alarm for am,well well on inception. So long as you've showm him evidence of the purchases,let the guy decide what he would do jare. Sounds like a white peep.Hope he ain't a run-away from AkTopgun's out-patient list . |
blueband:For a second there,I thought this quote was misdirected.And quoted by a Medical peep,too. STD in medical palance refers to sexually transmitted disease;indeed a worrisome public health hazard. Imagine STD doing a public ![]() |
Boy!Am I lucky or what? @easimoni-the insurance stocks GURU. Oga easi,abeg.My request posted 5 posts up,to @aktopgun about CICO with insurance stocks.Could you please answer? Thanks. |
@Octopus IBTC is well tested in the business of investment funds. It used to be a minimum N50,000 to invest with. They deliver 40-something% annually I believe,or more,depending on their success at financial year-end. Haven said this,you need to speek with them one-on-one yourself. Cheers. |
@AKtopgun My guy,whats your take on CICO for insurance stocks at this point in time.I'm considering only those not penned down for TS I'm thinking Lasaco. You could mail me. Krrrrrrrush6898@hotmail.co.uk Much appreciative. |
@Pumping777. Thanks for your opinion.What's annoying in the matter is that one can never be sure how binding such FGN directives are,with the level of incompitence they exhibit time and again. I think I should look more at growth investing;has never fitted my lazy approach to investing,though.I get apprehensive with small,small companies,though with good fundamentals(as I learn so here),but yet unproven growth.And when they begin to prove themselves. . . . .Well,you know the rest. . . you are left with the crowd,arguing with agbero at the ticket office .I guess confidence in these small,small companies will come if I learn to do this fundamental research thingie.Abi . . .? |
@Pumping 777 I need your Guru opinion,my man.I see you are online. Do you consider that the governments directive that all banks unify FY-ending for December 2008,will undermine CICO with ZENITH for example? Zenith normally would end FY in June with its usual promise of good dividend,hence price surge as investors take early position;hence good for CICO. But now,they may look towards December .Same for UBA,First bank and the like. What do you think,Pumping. . . . ? |
@Thread Detractors You guys.You na no dey shame ?Premiership. Obama. But sha . . . . O b a m a hammer oo! Straight wins;a perfect 10. ![]() Go,O b a m a !!! |

jandbaby:Cool down,J-baby .I take it you have several kgs of Nascon. But I thought peeps were on to a good thing with that stock;not sure now from @loma's post 'Ave a great week-starter,kiddo. Definitely hit Canada sooner than you think . |
@Invisible Coooool!! I just signed-up a Hotmail!Mail me and I'll send you my widow's mite of a tip for CICO. It's been suggested few days back;very hot,may get out of shooting distance tomorrow! This is me-. . . . hotmail.co.uk |
@ALL My comments are off the cuff without investigative research,more from memory(I confess I'm one lazy investor I doubt the rumour(I'm just hearing it now on this thread) that Afribank will give bonus,based on my perception of the bank being over-valued(even at N26) based on its last Q result. In this day and age that banks are striving to increase EPS by keeping outstanding shares as minimum as possible(some contemplating going down the intricate road of share reconstruction),I don't see the rationale of a bonus that would further dilute their struggling EPS. This is entirely my own unresearched oppinion .@Invisible Hello,fellow night-owl.I just placed a purchase order for a gun-fight CICO. Have to keep it Invisible though,not suggesting,sorry man.At least not till I'm bought.you now how it is .Difficult to do 20% these days.Wish I had a e-mail to send you,pal.Got only my usual one not for a forum.Hang on,I'll open a hotmail right away then post here. . . |
jandbaby:@Jandbaby Howz 'bout you and me kick-off an affair;waddaya say. . . ? I'll fly over to .Say yes,kiddo ![]() |

@Jandbaby Good for you! ![]() Good for Obama! ![]() |
@Jandbaby Hi kiddo. . . .Sleepless in The weekend's at hand. . . . |
I guess I figured it out. . . .Diplomacy rubbish."Resigned"really implies "Lobbied-out". . .Power tussle ![]() |
@Samstone Except if what you are implying is that high-powered horse trading is forcing Odimegwu et al to step-aside,I would have thought by your explanation that they would by all means be fighting to stay and better-position themselves and not resign. . . ![]() |
NBA: samstone4:So @Samstone,why don't you think this might rather spell a nose-dive for Transcorp's price on the floor? Perhaps the full report will clarify,though. Placed a buy order 3 days back,but no show. . . Waiting to possibly cancel order which didn't have an expirey date specified |
NBA:If its online,we all can attend! All is possible if you are Obamatized .Yes,we can! ![]() |
easimoni:I say Obama's detractors,as represented by the 3rd audition-panelist in the cartoon,are out-numbered(2 to 1,if you like). They say Obama doesn't go into specifics in his campaigns. I say that they who have done their economic specifics all these years,are responsible for the near-depression of the US economy today. Back to the cartoon.Yeah,Obama hasn't sung yet,but the discerning two panelists are already wowed by the props he has brought with him on stage for this great audition.By the newness that is anticipated in the great act to come. They realise that,with the new kind of props he mounts on stage for his anticipated performance,he'll surely change the hitherto status quo Obama ![]() |
