creategist: Consume local products, forex support may stop, Emefiele tells Nigerians
https://punchng.com/consume-local-products-forex-support-may-stop-emefiele-tells-nigerians/ The support will certainly stop. Then, every importer is left to source for dollars in free market where forces of demand and supply hold sway. With much Naira pursuing dollars, exchange rate most likely will not favour the Naira; hence loss in buying power of the Naira. From all indications, I sense devaluation of the Naira in no sooner than later (I stand to be corrected). The Federal government has tried to hold the Naira afloat for so long and may not be ready/able to maintain status quo going forward. But, can the Naira withstand the effect of free market? This is rhetorical Inquisition, just ponder! |

BAMOFIN1: LeadCapital is quite efficient and reliable a d customer service is good, I been with them for more than five years. Major reservations are that their online portal is not really real time and their commission is not the lowest. if your plan is to trade often these two issues are vital. For a trader Morgan is better. Thanks for this. I appreciate! |

Priceless25: As from November 29 2019.. Treasury bills will no longer be open to individuals, only big corps. This is CBN's new policy. The Punch: CBN stops treasury bills’ sale to individuals.
https://punchng.com/cbn-stops-treasury-bills-sale-to-individuals/ Take this news with a pitch of salt... Why? 1. It is reportage from Punch correspondence in conversation with UNNAMED CBN official. 2. It is not an outright directive from CBN to banks yet. No pronouncement as regards this. In fact, why is it that it's only Punch peddling the info? However, with time, we get to see how it pans out. |

healthserve: All aspects of the Polymer chain is profitable.
Marketing is easy and very lucrative. You buy from the factory and resell in retail markets.
Production and Marketing is very good. This way you occupy two sectors of the value chain
If you want to test the waters, start with marketing. If you want to go into production, you need a comprehensive business report on this. Note, this is an industry that needs stable electricity to survive I.e very big generators one for regular use, a standby generator in case the main one fails. Not to forget machinery, for an investor that comes in ready, this is a good business. But one I advice an investor with irregular cash flow to keep from
By the way you can also engage in low scale nylon production without a factory. With as little as one million this can be done, you can imort nylon granules into the country, approach a producing factory to process them into nylone and pay the charges, and you'll become a medium scale nylon producer. There are billions of companies that sell the granules online. But you'll need an insider to guide you on this process. What's to gain you may ask, imagine making 1.5 naira profit per nylon on just marketing a nylon alone, producing gives the ability to make about 80% more profit when you shi in the granules and produce your nylons. Now owning the factory itself raises the profit margin one notch higher again.
If you want to do just marketing, get a bus. Nylon is very heavy much heavier than you'll imagine in large quantities.

NicoKator: I-Invest App Users, please how is your experience with I-Invest? I know they are licensed with SEC nd registered as Inter- Dealer Broker but I need your candid statement of facts, do they pay the capital + accrued interest at the end of the tenor? Is it timely? No issue? I have been using Stanbic and Axa Mansard MMF but I want to put some into T-BILLS (I'm constrained because am away, so it's not possible for me to walk into bank nd subscribe; that is why I want to use I-Invest). I will appreciate your kind response. For my personal experience so far, the app respond to whatever you instruct. For the tenors I have done that expired, I received the mail to that effect within the first hour of the day (before 1:00am). Sincerely, I have not had any issue with them. No hassles so far. If you have properly registered and have your KYC verified, there shouldn't be any challenge. However, know that they don't pay interest upfront; the interest is paid together with your capital at end of tenor and then you can withdraw to your bank account. This is my candid view based on my experience so far. The decision to use or not to use the platform TOTALLY rest on you. |

With hair importation you can make so much of a million, unlike importing wears that everyone everywhere does Thanks Op for been so wonderful. My question is, after the goods finally arrive in Nigerian port, does one need special documentation to be able to clear the goods or one would locate the office of the shipping agent to get the goods?? |

My question now is that what do I need to have as an evidence that i bought treasury bill through till maturity. I am still a learner. Thank you. Just go back to your bank where you subscribed for the TB and ask them to give you proof of investment. They will print it for you. It's as simple as that. |

C505: Hello house.
Someone mentioned a few pages back that he reinvested his interest so that at the end of the tenor, he gets a bit higher than the supposed interest. I tried to dig that page out but don't want to waste too much time digging.
I want to know if that happened in primary or secondary cos after my maturity yesterday, I did secondary today and proposed to reinvest the interest but she said it's pro rata and since buying stops by 1pm, there's no way to reinvest the interest.
Since I didn't have in depth knowledge of how he did his, I accepted the norm and still proposed my interest with the fave value be paid at the end of the tenor but they paid me my interest.
I really hate collecting this interest upfront hence, I want advice from papas in the building I have done the Re-investment of the interest before and it was on Secondary Market. I just explained to the officer that I didn't want the interest paid upfront but it should be reinvested. That was all and she perfected it. This was at First Bank. There was nothing special requirement for it only that you indicate it in the form you will fill. In both Primary and Secondary Markets, it is applicable (interest Re-investment is possible). |

eagleeye2: That's part of my worry. my wife has the Pin to all my Atm cards. but what if it expires, and you have an active t.bills running? I understand the thing about Will, even with that some unscrupulous bank staffs fit try nonsense delay tactics and my wife is not the quarrelsome type. Well, if you don't want to go the way of will and you want it hassle -free for your beneficiaries, 1. Never allow rollover on your TB subscription. It should always terminate at end of stipulated tenor which never more than a year. All my TB terminate at end of tenor; never did the rollover thing. 2. Ensure that your ATM validity has well enough months ahead of the termination of your last TB subscription. ATM lasts for up to 4years. If it requires you terminate and renew it to cover for your TB sub, it is your desire. It only costs N1000. 3. Release your ATM PIN to your beneficiary. That's, If you feel so strong about it and I bet you it is hassle free. This just on the mild side of it.... Frankly, Just carry your trusted people along in your investment dealings and have the appropriate documentations, we all should be safe! |

akinonigbinde: Hi peeps, I bought First bank N2.2m secondary tbills yesterday at 10% for 42 day tenor. I instructed both the interest and the principal be debited. So, I got a debit alert of 2.2m as I instructed. Please how much should I be expecting at the expiration of the 42 days. I asked the guy in charge of first bank tbills but his attitude was so disgusting and quite rude. I feel you should have reinvested the interest as well since you didn't want the upfront payment. Reinvesting the interest would have yielded a little more in addition. |

When one subscribes at the PRIMARY MARKET, when will the interest be paid? I subscribed at the PRIMARY MARKET on Tuesday. The full amount was deducted yesterday (Wednesday) and I am yet to have the interest paid into my account. This was with FBN. NOTE: I filled UPFRONT payment of interest.
I am just curious. Had thought that they would leave the interest while deducting the balance at the prevailing rate for the particular tenor. I am waiting for how it pans out today, else, I visit the bank tomorrow. But, for the experienced, is this how it works? Thanks! |
