I decided to rewatch a part of theatrical version of BVS while on international flight some days ago. Lo and behold, I saw something awesome while playing Superman's flight towards doomsday with the Kryptonian spear. It was Ace Chemical in the background, it was right there all the while but I never noticed it until I slowed down my video player. My point is that by slowing down many scenes, you will find more easter eggs. Snyder is too visually detailed, men menn...that guy is something else! He has his flaws but his visual style is most unusual and might not be appreciated except by you're a visual specialist. By the way, I was formerly an artist, hence I have an eye for interpreting Snyder's work. Basically, his scenes have fewer dialogues between actors but more visual elements in the background of the scene to communicate more information to viewers.

I watched a video visually analysing the Flash scene in the recent comic con Justice League footage. I was shocked at how much information was contained in that scene. There was a 3D printer in that room which means Barry designed his costume, there was a lot of food on the table which suggests that Barry stayed indoor most of the time (remember he said that he needs friends). By the way, did you catch the reference to Watchmen in BVS?

yeah! when those two police guys were about responding to that distressed call..... the sign board reference Watchmen there. I ve forgot, but it was something like: "the end is nigh......... right?

even at the end, when WW and Batman stood opposite each other, while Lois Lane was holding Superman's body and Doomsday's body was also lying dead. it's a very mighty and great reference there-symbolizing Jesus' death in passion of the Christ. you will also noticed.....I think 2 crosses just at their backs....
bro.... infact, the easter eggs and references (homages) are so many that if you ain't very familiar with his works or those characters you won't even no or understand with is properly going on...!

even Watchmen movie, at that time had this present Joker in it, but people didn't no... His " HAHAHAHAHAHA" was an easter egg there...!

I was once one of those who hated Zack Snyder, but all that changed after I watched MOS, course I truly love Superman's character. though I loved his first movie, Dawn of the Dead.

I think Zack is that kind of director that if you get to understand, u will not want to let go.... likewise if u ain't his fan, u will find his work not appealing.

his works are heavily symbolic and filled with easter eggs....

I like his take, cause it challenge how someone generally perceived movies to be! Just take a second view on BvS and see how easter eggs and symbolic signs were encrypted into it perfectly, yet without exaggerating any of it....

yeah! I saw SS yesterday, as early as 10am (first on the line)
my honest review.....
I think act1 was literally very good. as in.... how Amanda gave us insight. and she did it in a very explicit way.

then the (a) bit pacing and editing issues came in in act2..... though wasn't close that bad as some of our brothers made it to look. to be frank, I didn't see it as a huge problem because it still told the story appropriately (virtually 70% movies have this issue too.... juxtaposing).

while the act3, which was the final didn't face such issues....
that credit scene should ve been added, just at the ending of 3rd act and it would still make a perfect sense to me.

Characters wise:
Deadshot; 100% perfect!
Harley Quinn; 99% amazing!
Amanda Waller aka the Boss!; 95% mean!
The Joker (mind you, this was a different take); 90% maniac!
Rick Flagg; 85% true to his character!
Diablo; 80-85% good
Dr June; 75% on the game!
Kill Croc; 75% fantastic and funny, especially when he talks!!!
Boomerang; 70% funny, but did nothing much...
!
Enchantress herself; 50% ok and scary!
Her brother; 25%. absolutely inconsequential. bad and rubbish!
Slipknot or what; 15%. no value and worth why he was there! though, he served as a scapegoat just to test Wayne device

Technically, Amanda was the villian. but that Enchantress and brother, are terrible villians to say the lest.
in all, I gave SS 7/10 rating

My guess is critics would still do justice to the Wonder woman movie. Be prepared for different sort of complains critics are gonna use on that movie.

1. If marvel bribed critics to take down DCEU, how come there are still some critics who give DCEU movies positive review? Did marvel fail to bribe those guys?
2. If marvel is really bribing people to take down DCEU, why is DCEU not bribing people to take down marvel or even hype DCEU movies? Or are the critics allergic to DCEU money?
3.Bvs saw a really sharp box office decline in their second week, did marvel bribe people not to watch the movie?
4.When dc was ruling hollywood with super man and batman back in the 80s and 90s, marvels attempt(thor,hulk,captain america,punisher,daredevil,nick fury agent of shield) to catch up was severely criticized and poorly received, so why didn't y'all blame dc for marvels movie getting poor reception back then?
5. If there's nothing wrong with DCEU movies then why is there always all these reshoots,cuts and complaints in their camp? This is the third movie and they are still pointing fingers and making ultimate cuts up and down

Though, I love ur points. but must people are not buying into that bribe allegations, what people are insinuating is, there is too much nitpicking when it comes to DC.
MOS for example, their complains were; there's too much action, Supes didn't save many people (forgetting he wasn't superman at that time-learning his powers), he killed Gen. Buhari (Zod). yet, virtually everything stated here had one way or the other found themselves in marvel's movies, but critics never saw them as flaws. even to the extent of criticizing SS villian for being too weak (critics view), while Marvel have been constantly dishing mediocre villians ever since their universe kicked off.

Critics are humans like us, so people can still insinuate whatever.

I think some peeps in Hollywood are really trying hard to discourage the proliferation of CBMs. DCEU is a testing ground for resilience. I believe WB should learnt enough lessons by now. Someone mentioned that DC franchise is spoiling WB financial records. I don't think so because the DC franchise is the highest earner for WB, followed by Harry Potter and Lego series.

Yea! it was Scot Mendelsen of Forbes Magazine. I like his guesstimate for box office gross, but I think he's not been totally fair to WB/DC...

people need to understand that this movie isn't: Suicide Squad v The Joker. It is Suicide Squad, so we shouldn't be expecting Joker to have more screen time than them! Joker is not a member of the Suicide Squad!
