Religion / Tips On How To Register Your Church Or Mosque With Corporate Affairs Commission by kudosamass(m): 1:37pm On Jan 22, 2018
Churches and Mosques are considered to be corporate entities by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC); and as such the law requires that churches, mosques, ministries and other religious organizations must be registered with the CAC under Incorporated Trustees.

Other organizations under this category include: NGOs, Charities, Associations, Community based Organizations, Social Clubs, Youth Clubs, Women's Groups, Professional Groups and Places of Worship. The normal practice in Nigeria is that an Attorney or Agent is paid to do the incorporation, but anyone with limited budget can actually process the registration by him or herself.

The following is a step by step guide on the registration of Incorporated Trustees in Nigeria:

1. The first step is to do a name availability search with the CAC. If the name is approved, then procurement of Application Form follows. If the name is denied, you simply craft another name and re-apply.

2. The second step is to publish the approved name in three (3) national newspapers, one must be a local newspaper widely circulated in the area where the Organization is based.

3. The third step is to create a Board of Trustees (if not in existence) Religious organizations or any other organization registered under Incorporated Trustees is supposed to be governed by a Board of Trustees.

4. The fourth step is the submission of the duly completed Application Form in triplicate, which should be accompanied by the following:
i) A formal letter of application.
ii) The original newspaper publications.
iii) Two (2) copies of Applicant's Constitution.
iv) Minutes of the meeting where the Trustees were appointed, having the list of members present and absent; and showing the voting pattern, signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Board.
v) Minutes of the meeting where the Special Clause rules was adopted into the Constitution, signed by Secretary and Chairman.
vi) Trustees have to attach two (2) passport photographs each.
vii) Trustees have to sign against their names on the Application Form, with their respective permanent residential addresses.
viii) The impression of the common Seal should be affixed on page 11 of the form.
ix) Evidence of payment of prescribed fees.
x) The Application Form should be duly signed by the Secretary and Chairman of Board.

5. Step five is that all documentation is then reviewed by officials of CAC, and if there are no queries, the Church or Mosque, or any of the organizations under this category is registered with the CAC and issued with a Certificate of Incorporation. A situation may arise where there are queries. What you simply do is to correct what you are asked to correct and resubmit.

6. Due to the level of documentation involved in the registration of Incorporated Trustees in Nigeria, it is always advisable to use the services of an Attorney or Agent to make it stress free. For inquiries or assistance, see my Signature to contact me.
Business / 12 Easy Steps To Obtain Your Export Permit In Nigeria by kudosamass(m): 6:49pm On Jan 21, 2018
Export Permit is the major legal requirement to be obtained before anyone can be allowed to export any product from Nigeria. It is also one of the requirements for Mining License and other permits from the Ministry of Mines & Steel Development. This all important document is issued by the Nigerian Export Promotion Council.

The market practice in Nigeria is that License agents are paid to process and obtain this License for easy process. However anyone with low budget can apply, process and obtain the permit by him or herself, though it may not as fast as that of an Agent.

The following is the step by step guide on how you can obtain your Export Permit by yourself:

1. Go to www.nepc.gov.ng and click "Exporter registration" on the Menu bar.

2. Create an account by filling in Name, Email address and password; and click "register"

3. On your dashboard, click on "Register New Certificate"

4. Fill in the details of the Company seeking an Export Certificate.

5. Choose the type of Company and upload relevant documents.

6. Choose Certificate delivery option: pick up or courier. N/B Courier cost an extra N2,500 within Nigeria. Outside Nigeria depends on the Country.

7. Click on "Preview" to review the information supplied in the Form, then click on "Submit and proceed to payment"

8. An invoice is generated; then click on "Make payment"

9. Copy down the Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and choose your preferred method of payment.

10. After payment, confirm payment by clicking on "Log > Certificate" , then copy down the order id and input it into the field; click on "Confirm payment" and you will receive notification of the status of the payment.

11. Your Certificate will be processed after confirmation of payment and documentation. You will receive an SMS and Email alerts once your Certificate is ready.

12. If you need an Agent to assist you to easily obtain the License, see my Signature to contact me.

Business / Trademark Registration In Nigeria: 10 Things You Need To Know by kudosamass(m): 12:34pm On Jan 21, 2018
1. A Trademark is a symbol, or sign which differentiates the goods and services of one Business from another one. Trademark Registration in Nigeria is for the protection of your ideas, inventions, designs, and trade secretes.

2. You can register your Trademark- brand name, logo, slogan, domain name, shape, color and sound with Office of Trademarks, Patents And Designs Registry, Commercial Law Department, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.

3. You can only register a Trademark in Nigeria through an accredited Agent, or you have to go through the process of accreditation yourself. Accreditation is a mandatory process for Law firms, companies, individuals and potential registrants who wish to act as agents.

4. The market practice in Nigeria is to instruct an accredited Attorney or Agent to file and process applications at the Nigerian Registry of Trademarks, Patents, Designs and Copyright. A Power of Attorney/ Authorization of Agent Form would be completed in favor of such Agent, as the enabling instrument to act for the Principal/ Applicant.

5. A Trademark may be registered either in black and white, or in color. However, where a Trademark is registered in color, the protection afforded the mark is limited to the colors registered.

6. After filling the application for the registration, the Registrar issues an official Acknowledgement reflecting the official number and filling date of the Application. A search is then conducted to ascertain the distinctiveness of the application from existing and pending registrations. If the search goes through, a letter/ notice of acceptance will be issued to the Applicant.

7. Every Trademark Application must be advertised in the Nigerian Trademark Journal, and is open to oppositions for a period of two months from the date of advertisement. If no objections are received, or if received, not sustained within the specific period, the Registrar will issue the Applicant with a Certificate of Registration.

8. Nigerian Trademark registrations have an initial validity of seven years, and are thereafter indefinitely renewable for periods of 14 years. An Application for Renewal should be made not less than three months from the due date.

9. The procedure for Trademark registrations in Nigeria takes long time because of the different stages involved in the process. It looks cumbersome to the uninitiated. It is advisable to use the services of accredited agents for stress free registrations.

10. For inquiries and assistance, see my Signature to contact me.

Comment and share to educate others. It is our collective duty to grow the Nigerian Private Sector.

Business / Re: What Is The Cost Of Registering Trademarks In Nigeria? by kudosamass(m): 12:09am On Jan 21, 2018
Your N25,000 will not do the registration because you need the services of an accredited Agent or you have to go through the process of accreditation first. See this post:
https://www.nairaland.com/4302821/trademark-registration-nigeria-10-things#64387536

Although you can do it yourself but, it is easier to give Lawyers or Agents because in Nigeria, the gap between theory and practice is very wide. The requirement the Government gives out is always cumbersome to the ordinary person.

Call me let me direct you on how to go about it.

Agriculture / 25 Hectares Of Hot Farmland For Sale In Abuja by kudosamass(m): 6:35am On Jan 04, 2018
The Farmland is located at Dobi Farmland Layout, Gwagwalada Area Council. Dobi is about 10m drive from the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada; along Abuja - Mina Road. The Farmland is about a kilometer and half away from the Main Road; and Dobi main Town is about a kilometer from the Land. Electric Power and workers can be sourced from the Town. It might interest you to know that Dobi is the second largest Town in Gwagwalada Area Council, after the Town Center.

The Land has the following Title Documents: C of O; AGIS Re-Certification, Allocation Document, Search Report and Site Layout. Any experienced person in the Abuja Property Sector will agree that this is a complete Title Document. Any experienced property man or woman in Abuja will agree that this is a complete title document.

The Land is a Table Land and hyper-fertile. It can be used for Animal Husbandry, Crop Production, Agro-Industry or Mix-Use. One more good thing about this Farmland is that there is stream at one end which can give the Farm water in case of dry season irrigation or water for Fish ponds.

In terms of security, there is an Air Force Estate(or Base; I don't actually know which one. But the Nigerian Air Force has a large expanse of Land around the area and they recently installed an empty container with other things on their Land, signifying commencement of development) And there are other large farms around the area as the Layout is specifically designed for large scale Agro purposes. Senator Kabiru Gaya, for instance, is developing his over 100 Hectares Farm immediately after Dobi Town.

The major challenge of buying farmlands in Abuja is lack of access road, but this particular farm land is about one and half kilometer to a tared road. It is a perfect Farmland for any serious investor who wants to set up a farm or Agro investment in Abuja.

The Price is Fifteen Million Naira Net (N15,000,000) Comparatively, this amount is a give away compared to what is obtainable at Kuje, Kwali or Abaji Area councils.

Every farmer may not be as rich as Jeff, but many farmers are in the billionaires club. A Chinese poultry farmer, Liu Yonghao, who sold his bicycle few years ago to start farming, has an estimated net worth of $4.6 billion according to Forbes. His Company, the New Hope Group was reported to be negotiating with the Blackstone Group with respect to the acquisition of Inghams Enterprises, an Italian Poultry producer, at a price of $1.5 billion. (thats the annual budget of six states in Nigeria)

He's a joker. He obviously doesn't understand the trend going on in the world.

While people are going to reap great benefits in Agriculture, it's hardly going to make them billionaires. A simple app creator can leverage on agricultural products and rake billions out of it, like making it cheap and affordable to move agricultural goods. Or connecting farmers directly to retailers. People who leverage on other people's efforts are going to be the next billionaires
The digital aspect of the Agric Economy is part of its ecosystem.

Dr. Akinwumi Adesina was asked recently where the next crop of African billionaires will come from, the President of the African Development Bank (ADB), without batting an eyelid, declared that they will be farmers! Continuing, the Development Bank's boss said, "By 2030, the size of the Food and Agric business in Africa will reach $1 Trillion. So, if you are thinking of how to make money, that is the sector to be in. "

Any smart business person must have known by now that Agriculture is the next boom in Africa. Many in Nigeria are already positioning themselves. Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote, is now venturing into large scale farming. Just recently, he invested $4.6 billion in Nigerian Agriculture. He also invested another $3.8 billion in sugar and rice. The latest is his investment of $800 in milk production.

Another foremost businessman and billionaire in Nigeria, Dr. Orji Uzo Kalu, a former Governor of Abia State is developing 12,000 hectares of farm in Abia State. The project is valued at $400 million. His younger brother, Mascot Uzo Kalu recently acquired 130 hectares of farmland at Paiko Village of Gwagwalada Area Council in Abuja. The Kalus are said to be working in partnership with the Chinese and Israelis on these projects.

The Nigerian Agric sector is far larger than the Oil sector, but only few know this secret. There is huge wealth waiting for investors in the sector. The Netherlands is the 18th largest economy in the World. Its land area is about 33.9 square kilometers. That is less than half of Niger State. Netherlands exports over $100 billion worth of agricultural products annually. Nigeria's Oil revenue, with all its noise and distractions, has never in any one year reached $100 billion!

Framing in Nigeria is going to be the chief wealth generator in 2018. Food drives the World. Apart from water, access to food is the primary concern for all people on Earth. Agriculture is the largest, most significant and most lucrative industry in the World today. And it will continues to be as long as man continues to exist on planet Earth!

Do yo want to be among the next generation of African millionaires and billionaires in 2018? If your answer is yes, then, farming is the shortcut!

150 Hectares of Farmland is up for grabs in Abuja. The Agricultural Land is located at Kaida Farmland Layout of Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja.

It is a fertile and flat land suitable for large scale commercial Agriculture. It is good for crop production, Animal husbandry or Agro Allied industries.

The Farmland can be accessed through Kaida road, or through the road behind University of AbujaTeaching Hospital, Gwagwalada.

The farmland has the following Title documents:
C of O, AGIS Re-Certification, Allocation Document, Confirmation Certificate and Site Plan (TDP)

This is a very good investment opportunity for smart investors because this type of large hectares of farmlands are becoming scarce in Abuja. It may be extremely difficult if not impossible to acquire this size of farmland in Abuja in the next two years because many smart investors have seen that the Nigerian Economy is shifting to Agriculture; and so a lot of the super rich in the society are presently busy acquiring and moping up large hectares of farmlands in preparation for the transition into large scale commercial farming.

Even those who do not wish to go into farming are buying farmlands with the intention to resell in few years time when the Farmland Property Market caches 'fire'.

The price is N200m.

GTB is on a speed lane to self destruct. As a Bank, this is the most unwise method to settle this type matter. Many companies will certainly think twice before any serious engagement with GTB, even if the Bank is right. The reputation of the Bank will continue to nosedive as long as this case lingers.

For now, it is very clear to all that the Bank is desperate to avoid this payment so as not to go bankrupt. Should the Supreme Court uphold the decision of the Appeal Court, the general public might go into panic withdrawals which may likely collapse the Bank finally.

Whichever way this matter ends, the Bank will be the looser because of the negative public awareness created by the case which the Bank invited on itself. From what I am reading online, some guys are already withdrawing their money to avoid story. The Bank must as a matter of urgency review its Legal Department.

I don't want to dampen your happiness, but these ones have no market value. It is very likely that someone discarded them. Ametthyat is not found in Abuja. Generally, Amethyst is not costly in the market compared to Sapphire, Emerald, Aquamarine, Rubellite or even Tourmaline.
A kilogram of top grade Amethyst in Nigeria is about 40k. You can keep it for spiritual whatever, but not for jewelry.

Investment / A To Z Of Gemstone Trade And Mining In Nigeria by kudosamass(m): 11:04am On Dec 03, 2017
The International Gemstone Trade is a Multi-billion dollar Trade. Trades in precious stones supply the gems that adorn kings, queens, movie stars and millionaires around the world. These stones have other industrial uses. Those who extract these gems; those who trade and distribute these beauties; and those who cut and polish these treasures are handsomely paid for their efforts. Prices of gemstones range from few dollars to above $10,000 per gram.

The International Gemstone Industry is so large that the United States Jewelry Industry is said to worth over US$78 billion, and has continued to grow (Gassman, 2015). According to Chinese Government import data, gemstone import from Myanmy in 2014, were worth US$12.3billiion. That was from Myanmy alone. The Gem and Jewelry District of Antwerp in Belgium is a business worth £31billion a year. That District is powered by Gemstone suppliers from all over the World. You too can be a Supplier! The Gemstone Industry in India employs about 1,000,000 players. According to India Brand Equity Foundation, the overall net export of Gems, Jewellery and Diamonds during April-December, 2016 stood at US$43.19billion. The Indian Gemstone Industry is also powered by International suppliers from around the world. You too can participate in this mega money bonanza!

Nigeria is endowed with large deposits of different types of precious and semi-precious stones. The Country is heavily blessed with some of the world’s scarce precious gems like Sapphire, Emerald, Aquamarine, Beryl, Tourmaline, Zircon, and Garnet amongst others. Most of these deposits are available in very large commercial qualities. Nigeria’s Tourmaline for instance, comes out in multiple colors from the same pit and the quantity is usually in kilograms and tons. Nigeria’s Paraiba Tourmaline found in Oyo and Nasarawa States, for instance, could go for as much as $5,000,000 per gram. According to Daily Trust’s Ademola Adebayo, precious gems like Beryl, Aquamarine, Sapphires, Zircon in bubble-gum, pink and water melon Tourmaline grades from green to red can be sourced from only Tibet, Nigeria, Afghanistan and Brazil.

The Gemstone Mining Industry in Nigeria is very easy to enter with the right information. Contrary to public perception, you do not need millions of Naira to venture into the Untapped Multi Billion Dollar Gemstone deposits in Nigeria. The Nigerian Gemstone sub sector is a multi billion dollar industry unknown to many.

Religion / Re: God Himself Convinced Me Tithing Was Right - Pastor Adeboye by kudosamass(m): 10:21am On Dec 03, 2017
Oga Pastor, the Bible is the the Supreme Authority in Christianism, from where every other authority, practices and beliefs take their authority and validity. Quot biblical verses to validate your argument. The other guys you guys are demonizing has been copiously quoting the Bible to back up his arguments. It is rather curious that you people that are deeply versed in biblical science have refused to back up your claims with any biblical verse; rather you are still running around sentiments, blackmail and mysticism.

It was a German Monk, Martin Luther that questioned the Authority of the Papacy. That Question gave us Protestantism, Reformation and Counter Reformation in Christendom. It lead to the Enlightenment of the Middle Age. It liberated man from the shackles and manacles of his own mind. The evolution of Industrialization can be traced to this mental liberation.

The Pentecostal Church of Nigeria is a beneficiary of a disagreement in the Protestant Church of Nigeria. That particular disagreement gave us Daddy this, Daddy that. It gave us all these Supersonic Jet loving pastors and miracle practitioners. It lead to the proliferation of Ultra Modern churches in Nigeria. It laid the foundation of exportation of Christian Science from Nigeria to other parts of the World. It created another set of elite in Nigeria- the Christian super-rich elites; mainly found in the Pentecostal churches. Who says the question raised by Daddy Freeze differed from those raised by Martin Luther and the Nigerian Pentecostal Church? Mankind benefited a lot from previous questions and it is very likely than the Nigerian man is going to greatly benefit from this one.

So, my question is why must we crucify Daddy Freeze for raising questions on a practice that has no Biblical Authority other than authority from the abstraction of the minds of the proponents?
