Let someone check the timing on the car. Also, on aluminum engines, after blowing the top gasket, the head might be crack or warped. Replacing the gasket alone might not help you out. Wish the car is in front of me to see whats goin on. That's my little contribution. Good luck. |

Like someone mentioned earlier, any car coming through Lagos will be in the N1m range. It cost roughly 400k-500k just to ship and clear an average car. That's left with about $4000 thereabout. With the demand for leather, A/C , low mileage, clean this, Navi that, etc How are you supposed to get a cheap car for less than N1m? Nearly impossible. Good luck |

EmemJU:[b]A salvage title is often used for vehicles that are once previously damaged and repaired. Majority of salvaged title are from accident/collision damages. Usually, the cost of damaged has to be around 50-60% of the value of the car. At that point, the insurance company will decide to sell the at the auction (cos its cost effective for them like that). Whoever buys the car will then repair the car and TAKE IT FOR INSPECTION before it can be re-registered again. That is when a salvage title will be issued. Sometimes a salvage title can be issued for stolen vehicle. Once a vehicle is stolen, the insurance will settle. If the vehicle is then found later, it will be sold at the auction and salvage title issued. Stolen vehicle can be found intact or sometimes essential parts (brainbox etc) stolen form them. As far as your vehicle is concerned, I AM GUESSING that its a theft salvage cos i can't see any accident history there. If you are still interested, i suggest you take a very good mechanic and inspect. Or better still, just find something else. Good luck.[/b] |

Georgiedey:Toyota Sienna is considered a commercial vehicle cos its a bus/van so it can come to Naija. Without seeing the vehicle i am assuming its either a 1998/1999. My big question to you is that : Why do you send the money to the guy if you don't trust him? Cos that's why you are here to confirm his theory/story.But i think the money he is asking you is in accordance with the cost and shipping of the vehicle.
