jidobaba:This VIN is invalid. If the car has never been registered in the US, there will be no record for it here in the US. Carfax is only good for US and Canada vehicles. This seems to be an European registered vehicle. Good luck. |

Manufacturer Buyback or Lemon Title A DMV or a state agency marks an official document or issues a Manufacturer Buyback/Lemon title when a vehicle has been repurchased by the manufacturer. Not all states issue manufacturer buyback titles and the specific requirements for a lemon law vehicle varies by state. Odometer Rollback If a more recent odometer reading is less than an older reading, then the odometer may have been tampered with and "rolled back". Manufacturer Recall Automobile manufacturers issue recall notices to inform owners of car defects that have come to the manufacturer's attention. Recalls also suggest improvements that can be made to improve the safety of a particular vehicle. Most manufacturer recalls can be repaired at no cost to you. There are several others that simply give the customs what they are asking / supposed to get and will travel through the normal road without hassle. The truth is that there are still several cars over 10years old that are in great shape and are affordable for the general populace. It will be tough to find any vehicle to come thru Lagos for less than N1m. I really don't see any problem in Cotonou dealers advertising their trade. But when they don't do what they promise (which i am suspecting is why this thread was began in the first place), that is where it gets dicey. |

I will like to think that the writer has a reason(s) for making an initial claim. Afterall, he/she is a long-time member who i have seen the username in the past. Though not of recent. So he/she is not just someone who jumped out of nowhere and start writing. I think it will be civil to refrain from calling names and allow for a response. We are not all on the thread at the same time. I will like to give about 48-72 hrs to see a response before jumping into conclusion. We can all learn more. No matter where the chip may fall.
