^^^Actually a 150k miles corolla still has a lot of life left in it. Just maintain the car as a150k mileage car. And most importantly buy it accordingly. Don't buy it as if its a 40k miles car^^^^ |

mykalls:Since i am not privy of seeing the car in front of me at this time. I will do my best to cover all bases. Its kinda hard to know how bad the front impact is (it could be minor or major ). What i will want you to do is that go and inspect the car and check for the following: 1. When you turn on the ignition, don't start the car. Make sure that all warning indicator comes on in the dash board. Most especially the "Airbag" and the "check engine light". They should all disappear after you start the car. For the most part, cars that have been involved in front impact crash will deploy airbag. Some shady dealers will not replace the airbag and disconnect the light in the dashboard. They also, will disconnect "check engine light" to cover any other damages (sensors etc) that might have occurred in the accident. 2. When you test drive, make sure that the wheels are not wobbly or excessive vibration. This might be as a result of bad alignment or worse, damaged from frame area. You will never be able to get the alignment done properly if this occurs. 3. Make sure they at least did a decent job repairing the car. After that, pay accordingly! Don't pay with your heart. Pay with your brain. In other words, don't just fall in love with the shinny paint. Look past that. Good luck. Enjoy the ride. |
