The present conspiracy of our Jihadist Buhari and Tinubu to take control of the Niger Delta oil could ignite a terrible unrest. Your militants shall be paid and they will keep quiet. |

Negro_Ntns: there is no field more accomodating of competition and elimination than in politics......particularly with the constant scrutiny and worship by the media.
if you cross them over and bring these political leaders into industries they will perform well. they have layers of checks and balances and accountability is hands-on.
if you take the industrial leaders and put them in political office they will fail. the layers of checks and balances in government is refined on paper but very loose and has no teeth in practice......it is hands-off approach.
thats not an attribute of poor educatiin. Whatever your field of study, the content of your mind determines your performance. GEJ, a PHD holder and president of nigeria, what else do you expect academically. But he had never thought of nigeria as a whole and look for answers, hence the woes are not his makings. But he forgot the responsibilities are his. |

Katsumoto: Good leaders need a variety of skills – Vision, honesty, ability to inspire, etc. but all good leaders need good quality education (classroom, work experience, & global). The last two Nigerian leaders may have been lecturers but surely, both were poorly educated. Some of the required skills of a good leader has are directly related to his education.
Nigerian leaders lack all of the above and to compound matters further, they are greedy, corrupt, disconnected, compassionless, & tactless. This reminds of Aristotles write up on who should lead an ideal state, he said he must be wise, he must be a just person, he must be temperate he must be honourable (do unusual thing) |

What we have currently is a scripted democracy. to develop our democracy we need to constantly respond or address our situations, but when we have imported democracy, things shall always fall apart. |
