Truth is Jonathan has demonstrated time and again his ineffectiveness and unsuitability as a leader (even he himself had privately admitted to it, see wikileaks) yet unbridled greed and lust for power, to the extent of unashamedly reneging on agreements/promises, would not allow him (at least for sake of decency) to distance himself from the irresponsible inciting utterances of the likes of Dokubo Asari - though we know he is one of his hired thugs.
