freecocoa: Seriously, it's not fun calling people names but sometimes people need it. I honestly don't know where to start with you cos you are speaking from both sides of your mouth at the same time.
$ex happened between a misguided or even spoilt SS1 girl and a full blown man who has passed through the four walls of a university, and you are asking who should take more blame? I am ashamed on your behalf.
I saw a comment of yours stating how hard this girls come at corpers, how hard it is to resist them and I shed a tear, you, a supposed learned person enters a village to serve and the secondary school girls who probably don't even know how to bathe properly yet,or even the nitty gritty of $ex/all that comes with it,seduce you and you boldly open your mouth to say it's not easy to resist, kai! You should tear your certificate, obviously the word 'class' is alien to you.
See you shouting "abort" like it's going to the mall to buy candy. Do you even know that the procedure can come with some complications? Do you know the medical history of this girl? Do you know the doctor she'll be taken to? Do you know anything about his qualification? This is how people's children are impregnated and killed on daily basis, are you sure you are a graduate? geez! What is wrong with you people?
I am only of the opinion that the girl's people be in the know of whatever is going on, so they can guide the girl into making the right decision, which in my opinion is, whatever she decides to do with the pregnancy. You surely have class freecocoa. It class is inherent in ur profile name. Its obvious that u don't know how to talk in public. Must u attack another before u make ur point? Its just because nigeria is a lawless country, if not that guy will rot in jail. Every right thinking man should know better not to have s.ex with underaged girls even if consent was given. Its utterly disgusting. As a teacher, you are in the best position to correct wayward children in the absence of their parents not to have s.ex with them. Any underage girl trying to seduce any corper must be reported to the school authorities and parents. but since a lot of these corpers always prove to be walking d1cks with lack of self discipline, they would give in. In fact, NYSC should make it punishable by law. good woman, you are very correct. The deed has been done and what is the way out for both parties. They still have a long way to go. |

I will be mild at u but if u decide to take it further, then it will be a personal war between you and me. The guy impregnated the supposed SS1 student who knows how to Bleep. Is that not enough to crucify the girl. If you have served as a teacher in a ramsharkle village u will have an idea of what d guy probably went through before he could succum to theoir seduction. It pains me to hear people allowing their emotions to rule them, because she is in SS1, it is not her fault but the guy's. I am not saying d guy does not have his blame, but d minnow has d majority of the blame. Okay? So the guy has d option of aborting d baby or allowing her to give birth and take d responsibily. Business › Re: 5 Ways To Save Money In Nigeria!!! by kunlenkirol(m): 10:42am On Feb 22, 2015 |
Rapmoney: We all love it when we get an alert from the bank, or a client pays us. It’s a good feeling, right? But then it all starts flying out of your hands. Where does the money go? We all have necessary expenses. There are things we can’t quite get away from paying for. These include school fees and healthcare. However, there are some expenses that we have control over.
1) Motor Insurance
Third party car insurance is required in Nigeria. Yes, Nigerians, we’re looking at you. Complete motor insurance isn’t a requirement, although this can be a good idea. What’s the difference? Third party insurance will only cover damage to the other person’s car or property in the event of an accident. Complete motor insurance will cover your own car too. To save money on rates for either type of insurance, it is good to shop around. Be sure to get quotes from several different insurance companies. To compare apples to apples, be sure to give the same information to all the insurers.
2) Gas Costs
There is not much you can do about the cost of gas in Nigeria. The difference in price between gas stations is not always significant. Between regulation by the government, fuel scarcity and price fixing, it’s a hard life out there for car owners. It is also rare for a Nigerian company to permit work from home, although it can’t hurt to ask (if it makes sense for your role). Some people have reported saving money by combining errands. This requires planning, especially in a business setting. Others choose to share a ride with colleagues to save money.
3) Mobile Phones and Data Plans
Check out your phone costs for the last three months. The majority of mobile phone users in Nigeria are on prepaid phone plans. Can you estimate what you spent on airtime and data?
• Are you paying too much or too little for your data plan? For most telecommunications operators, you get cheaper data if you pay a higher amount. Looking at Etisalat, you can get 50 MB of data for N500 (N10/MB). Alternatively, you can get 500 MB for N2,000 (N4/MB). If you can afford to pay more at the start, your data costs will be cheaper per megabyte. If you run a business, be sure to compare providers to check out the best price for internet services for the company.
• Text messages have become cheaper in recent years (N4 instead of N10 or N15). However, if you already have a data plan, messaging apps like BBM, 2go and Whatsapp can be used to send messages for no extra cost. Free is better than N4 any day!
4) Grocery and Food Bills
Eating out every day can get expensive. Look for decent food that is affordable and within your budget. Save the fancy hotels and eateries for an important business lunch or a special occasion (and not for every day lunch).
Some people are able to bring lunch to work or school. This is definitely more cost effective than eating out every day (We realize that this is not feasible for everyone, especially if your lunch consists of perishable food and there is nowhere to store it.)
Take advantage of specials and discounts for lunch and groceries when available
For groceries that you know you use a lot, buy in bulk where available.
5) Save Money on Purchases
There are many purchases that are unavoidable. However, do what you can to ensure that you are getting the best price on the item. You have to do some comparison shopping to see what that price is. Caveat – comparison shopping works best when comparing identical or similar items. Where can you compare prices in Nigeria?
General ecommerce retailers such as Konga and Jumia
Niche ecommerce retailers such as Gloo (for groceries)
Price comparison websites in Nigeria such as PriceCheck and NgPriceHunter
Physical stores in your area
Your network of friends and family

Romance › Re: My Fiancee Slept With Another Man...is It Right To Go On With Her? by kunlenkirol(m): 10:25am On Feb 22, 2015 |
dpoladapo604: We have been together for over six months. I love her so much (never fell so much in love) and she's so crazy in love with me too. she's such a wonderful lady I've ever met. she would do anything just to prove and protect our relationship.
Early January this year she came to my place to spend few days. during her visit, I one day took her phone and checked through her bbm I saw her chat with one cleric (Alfa) asking the man to help her about a shocking dream she had about me and also talking about d previous guy she was dating before I met her. I was so confused I couldn't talk till she left but on her way to the park I ask her if she was cheating or something and she assured me that she's all mine.
So the following day after she left I called her and told her that I went through her phone and I observe that she's still having some affairs wit her previous boy friend, she first started talking angrily that why should I go through her phone without her conscience but after few minutes she called back and started begging not to be annoyed by the way she talked regard me checking her phone. after a lot of begging I told her I'm no more annoyed but I warned her not to go to the Alfa because I could observe that the Alfa has other interior motive from the way he was chatting and she promised not to visit him.
So last Tuesday she came to my place and I tried to go through her chats on bbm and to my biggest surprise my lady was asking the man to pay her the money she spent on abortion to her (omo I was so shocked) I couldn't blv my eyes,I saw a part where the man was asking if she love him and she said no...dat thats why she couldn't keep his pregnancy. I kept it for good days till when she was about to leave this morning. The question I threw at her was "did you really did abortion?" she was shocked and started swearing with the holy book...I asked her to bring her fone and I viewed the Alfa's pics and asked if dis was d same Alfa I asked her not to visit and she said no he's the not him. I showed her the pics I tuk from that chat....she was shocked and accepted she slept with him but she did no abortion saying she only want to use that to get money from the Alfa. I asked her why....but she kept saying she didn't know how it happened. she was just begging and crying. the reason y I was so pained is that I warned her not to go to him but he go against my warning. I love her but I'm not comfortable with her. after too much begging and crying I told her I've forgive her.
Please is it advisable to go on with this lady?...I'm confused because I'm still in luv with her I can't just let her go but something keeps telling me that I may regret go on with her. AND IS IT WRONG FOR PARTNERS TO CHECK EACH OTHERS FONE? I don't see why u should keep on claiming that she loves you. Perhaps you don't know what it means to love. Anyway, the word is the most used word in English Language. First and foremost, if she loved u, she wouldn't sleep with another man. Even if she had d most fearsome dream abt you, what she should have done is to let you be aware of the dream and u people will look for a way to resolve it and prevent d issue to stop, that is if the dream is a bad one. You people are team, lovers are team, they are organimistic, what happens to one happens to d other. So bro, I don't think she loves you. Moreso, u told her not to go to d cleric again but she disobeyed, if u eventually marry her, she will disobey u on certain issues which this event is d beginning. Besides, she claimed to lie to d cleric that she is pregnant, only call girls could do that, if she is pained abt d unfortunate event that took place between her and the cleric, she wouldn't dare contact him again let alone asking him to give her money for abortion, that is weird and disheartening. To me, there is nothing that prevents u from checking one another's fone when u don't have skeleton in ur wardrope. Why should that be a problem. God even wanted you to be aware of it cos she could have deleted it knowning fully well that u have started checking her fone. My advice: the ball is in ur pitch. |

SeraSera: You claim you do not intend to malign anybody or institution, yet that is precisely what your post does, and without good reasons too.
Firstly, you should ask yourself how many deserving students who pass the JAMB cut-off mark actually make it into Federal and State Universities. Perhaps between 10 and 30 percent? Give yourself the honest answer why this is the case and proceed to tell me what you propose should happen to the remaining 70 or more percent of intelligent students who, through no fault of theirs, are not accepted into Federal or State Universities.
Secondly, contrary to what you have made yourself believe, graduates from Private Universities are actually doing well, both in the labour market and in academia. It's all subjective, really. Just as you have mentioned cases of people from Private Institutions who couldn't make presentations, I could as well tell you of graduates from Public Institutions who couldn't even spell their names. What then does that imply? That all Public University graduates can't spell their names?
I agree with you that more needs to be done by government and other stakeholders to sanitise the system all round, with keener focus on Public Institutions for which they are directly responsible. with great humility, I am very sorry if I offend u or any other people that may feel offended. However, I don't see reasons why private Universities should hike their school fee if one of their reasons for establishing them is what u said above on they trying to cushion the effect of many brillant candidates who couldn't gain admission. I actually agree with u but in actual fact, many of them are not doing well academically. I am not being fallacious here. I think what should be done is for the government to regulate their activities and provide a common ground on admission processes and tution. This will give all and sundry the opportunity to choose. But in a situation where only the rich can afford to go to such schools is not palatable at all. My proposition, government should be encouraged to build more universities to compliment the existing ones. Like I have already posited, the activities of private schools should be regulated. |

I quite agree that some of them are not employable. But one can not really blame them becaus our curriculum does not even teach how to create business or start your own business esp those under arts, social sciences. These wards are not taught these and moreso, the system is not favourable. Our country has become a den for unemployment and our graduates are wallowing. God help us all. |

I don't blame private universities, I blame those who patronise them. Well, when the wards can't pass JAMB, they will go through the back door to achieve their aim. I don't see why people should send their wards to private universities in the first place. When Federal Universities and State Universities are there. To start with, not that their graduates are doing that well in the labour market, even academically, they are found wanton. They can't compete with their mates from federal and state universities. The other time in my Master classes, there were these boys from one of the private universities, who couldn't even make a presentation. I am not here to malign anybody or any school. What I am saying is that, government and the public should look inward and do the necessary to checklist and checkmate these anomalies being perpetrated by the private universities. Let them do d needful! |

It is only in Nigeria that people with good grades wouldn't get good jobs especially those that made first class in school. Gone were the days when graduates with first class or distinction authomatically get job. In those days, having a first class is a passport to living a better life. This is because graduates with such results were being sought for before their peers with lesser grades will be considered. In Nigeria today, first class certificate does not equal living first class life. The question is, why is it so this days and age? Could it be that these graduates do not merit their grade? Or could it be that the economic and social melieu of Nigeria have made employers not to gun for these people? Your contribution plz! |
