It seems the whole marriage certificate thing has recently started becoming an issue.

I spoke to a Judge about this recently to get her opinion.
Apparently,there are churches that are licensed to conduct marriage and will have a different type of certificate (with the Nigerian coat of arms)

The full circle is that after church wedding with the other unlicensed churches, they are supposed to bring that certificate along with some forms to the registry to get another certificate with details from the unlicensed church certificate.

But she mentioned most people don't go full circle and only do notice of marriage in court, church (unlicensed) and trad.

She mentioned the no of churches alone some are not even verifiable so may even go as far as conducting sham marriages

I had also assumed the additional documents to proof relationship should suffice when applying for visa but it doesn't always seem so

I am uncertain as to why this has now been picked up as being an issue.

For example,if my closing balance was ₦5m on December 31 and i requested for my statement of account on say 5th of January,my opening balance for that month is your closing balance on December 31 irrespective of whatever transaction that had occured between Jan 1 to the date of request

Pls what can I do? My form A has been approved by first bank is adb disbursement, I went to submit my original documents only to tell me they are not accepting statement of result, unless it has certify stamp which I can't get due to strike..

Hello All,

I am expecting a scholarship decision from school B in June, but I have an offer from school A with no scholarship.

My dilemma is this, can I use the CAS from school A to process visa and then change to school B if I got the scholarship from them? In other words, can I use school A to process visa and resume at School B?

School B is very expensive, and I definitely can't afford them without a scholarship.

I want to pay my tuition deposit fee and my school preferred way of payment is online using my card. Am using GTB MasterCard, and I noticed that their exchange rate is high : 649 naira to one pound, and my fee is £1000.

I searched and found that Sky Bank is way much cheaper to other banks and they rate is even lower than CBN rate. Their rate is 434 to one pound. Pls I want to know if am to use this bank and pay my fees, pls has anyone used sky bank to pay. Shld I go on to Open and acct with them so I can pay my fees. My school deadline for payment is 31st of this month.

My sister was given a ban of 10 years this week, because she didn't state her previous student refusal and appeal.

This refusal was 13 years ago and it was our older sister that did all the processing. Hence she didn't remember to mention in this recent application as she didn't even remember at all.

Please do advise on how or what we can do at least to remove the ban - It wasn't intentional.

Good afternoon Landers.

I have finally resign from the banking job and I am very happy now with my earnings and freedom.

For me to resign I had to work as Bolt driver everyday I close from the bank and drive till 10pm and worked all through the weekends as a bolt driver, with this I was able to save 1million in short period of time and got loan of 1.5m to get another car.

So now my monthly savings after other expenses is 200k which I plan to pay back the loan in six month starting form this month.

I only work from Wednesday to Sunday every week now since I resigned.
Thanks for all the support from here, other contract staff bankers especially men reading this post should look for exits root immediately as there is no future in the banking industry for us as a polytechnic graduates.

I also want to ask if I should right now start building proof of funds.
But my question is if I start building proof of funds now, how long is it going to take for the whole process to be done to visa issuance. Will the interest keep counting on the money in the account?
