Tinubu will win SW but Kwnakwaso and Atiku will loose to Tinubu in NW. Let him keep deceiving himself in the name of analysis.
2023 election is unpredictable. No person can claim to know exactly how it will turn out because there are too many gladiators in the field.
This is not 2015 or 2019 elections where it was a two-horse race. My assumption is that there would be a run off which Obi will be among the last men standing. Are you confident Obi would get 25% votes in 24 states? |

helinues: Meaning Obi is a register marker? He would only Crip into Atiku support base in the SS and SE I don't see him doing anything in KKK states. The NE. And even the North Central. And the SW ethnic politics will take centre stage even though his percentage might do well and I expect his biggest percentage to come from Lagos here but APC will use the same strategy they used during Sanwo-Olu Election not Buhari own. |

AntonVince: An emotion/sentiment-influenced comment. Even if you pair 2 Yorubas on the APC ticket, the PDP will definitely still get at least 40% in Lagos and no less than 30% in every other SW state.
History has shown that the SW electorate doesn't vote robotically. Besides not only Yorubas inhabit the region. History says otherwise... When last have we had a Yoruba son on the ticket it last happened with OBJ and Falae you can see how Falae and AD won the SW before the OBJ abracadabra in 2003. 2007 was also a year where Yorubas didn't have much to do at the polls all candidates were Northerners so the west was free to vote either way. 2011 was also same as a matter of fact Tinubu ceded the SW to GEJ despite winning Osun for the ACN candidate then. 2015 was the year when a statement needed to be made and it was done resoundingly in the SW. Yes, south west is dynamic but not now when the PDP has lost its ground in the SW generally and now when it's son is on the ballot. I repeat only Lagos can go that way other SW states will be different. All winning presidential candidates usually consolidate with lots of votes from their region Buhari, Jonathan did that. I doubt if it would be different for Tinubu. OBJ contested against his kinsman so it was easy for him to still win despite losing his region. |

Reader530: Keep consoling yourself. Ekiti is SDP. During presidential, not all Yorubas will vote for Tinubu. In fact PDP will get 30% in Yoruba land. It would be difficult for PDP to get this in SW. Who will lead the movement? So you think after VP of 8years and a potential presidency this would be the best time people will vote Atiku and Okowa even Seyi Makinde cannot promise Atiku 25% in Oyo state because there's no stimuli or incentives to make SW better for the PDP. PDP cannot come to campaign and say they have done more for SW in 16years than APC in 8years. The only party that will get small sympathy votes is PO and he won't get 25% in states like Oyo, Ekiti, Ondo and Osun only in Lagos. And I trust BAT they would do everything to reduce their influence just like during Sanwo Governorship election. Forget it south west is still for Tinubu. Even the so called Yorubas not supporting Tinubu cannot condemn him openly in a bus. SW is still APC's own to lose. |

SOUTH EAST ALSO VOTED SOUTH SOUTH IN 2011 AND 2015.
STUPID HATRED WILL MAKE YOU BLIND BY THIS SE.TIME IN 2023 The hate you have for SS and SW is the reason they won't vote for your candidates? How do we forget all the abuses we have endured for the past 8 years of name calling? What about the north how do you plan to woo them your sworn enemies... Yorubas don't move to the East en masse so despite all you claim Obi did in Anambra is all noise in our ears because we see more people moving in search of greener pasture from your region to our region and that's a testament to something... |

As at 6pm I am more than impressed with Jagaban vote because I know the likes for Osinbanjo is a combination of igbos and some Yoruba's which is not genuine and the likes of Peter Obi is Genuine and undiluted SE people I don't want to use the Nairaland parlance.
While the likes of Tinubu is purely organic devoid of plastic supporters. To see him beating Osibanjo on this platform despite Osibanjo likes being reinforced by people who eternally hate Tinubu this is a big win.
Obi is not my headache..Na primaries be the first hurdle. Jagaban! |

Fuckyoumod: the truth is that we can't have a Muslim from the south as a president.
Buhari Muslim 8 years. Tinubu Muslim 8 years, after Tinubu another Muslim Northerner 8 years
This means Christians must have been denied the chance in the South for 24 years.
This is unacceptable, everything is still pointing to the fact that Tinubu can't be President.
Religion or no religion.... As far as Nigeria is concerned it is what it is!
Religious sentiments counts in Nigeria. The Atiku from PDP is a Christain abi. The two times the presidency has been from the south it has been two Christain including another 10 years as VP. So what's bad in Jagaban attempting to be the first Muslim Southern president/vice president... Come up with another propaganda this one will not fly... Since 1999 Christains have spent 13 years as against 11 of the Muslims. So this your logic won't work. Atiku/Jagaban will win the ticket of their party and they are both Muslims. So at the end of the day religion scheming won't count |

Occurstaem: This governor is banking on Omisore to deliver Ife/Ijesa axis for him. He is about to get the shocker of his life.
Some are saying Aregbe is no longer popular. I laugh at their naivety and ignorance. With the recent happenings in the state, it has shown clearly that some former PDP members who decamped to APC are in charge of Oyetola's government. They are only the one supporting him and running the show of his government.
Is it not the same Lagos that Tinubu said then that party members are not happy with Ambode to go for second term? He made sure he didn't go for second. If I remember then, he said he can't change the will of the people. Now that party members in Osun said they don't want Oyetola, Tinubu now want to cause mayhem in the state because of Oyetola who will eventually betray him.
Tinubu does not value all the years Aregbe has been loyal to him. If he does, he won't have jettisoned their mutual bond. Aregbesola also doesn't value all the years he has been entrusted by Jagaban from making him a commissioner in Lagos to fighting vigorously to reclaim ACN mandate in Osun. Baba this is politics they have both benefited eachother. And at the early stage of Aregbe career he cannot deny the fact that majority of the funds used to campaign for him in 2007 came from Lagos coffers. He should learn from the Amosun Case and pick one or two from there. |

It's just common sense for Jagaban to contest after putting alot into the Party. Imagine someone asking you not to reap despite sowing alot. How many Nigerians will gladly do that Well, APC will lose without Jagaban (Unless he supports PYO wholeheartedly, which is unlikely) on the Ballot and Jagaban will lose without APC. |

Why do you think PFN/CAN made one simple statement and the so called movers and shakers brought out a Christian candidate
They should have ignored and presented Hamzat looool
Audio movers and shakers Is it CAN that funded Sanwo-Olu and Ambode Or it was CAN that picked them. Jimi Agbaje is a Christain and why didn't CAN and PFN support him to win all this year's he has been contesting even against a Muslim candidate? Dosunmu contested against Fashola why did CAN not support him in 2011 since he his a Christain... You lack knowledge about core Lagos Politics. You're to emotional for politics... It's obvious you're an easterner sef merely residing in Lagos. |

Omoodua007: Go and impose a Muslim candidate and you will see assertive Christianity take over politics
What you can’t give your asking for Christian tenure ko Sango tenure ni
The community will also decide who takes over him 2027 Lagos remains a Christian majority state Simple
Tinubu is fully aware majorty of Lagos residents are Christians and they have enough economic power to install one of their own so ewo ni magnitude lol We are only choosing to put culture first but if one jihadist starts with Christian tenure narrative then you will see assertive Christianity All this is pure trash. I have presented you with facts that are on ground counter it with facts mention Prominent Christian leaders in the Lagos Political Landscape that can win an election without support and endorsement from their Muslim counterparts? Even down to traditional leaders in Lagos with some sort of command how many Christian Traditional leaders do we have? This are facts you should argue with before saying the Christian community wi decide who becomes governor. Why didn't they decide it in 1999, 2003, 2011 and 2015? Does the Christian community know who Ambode and Sanwo-Olu was before their hand-picking by Jagaban? As of today do you even see Sanwo-Olu flaunting his christian affiliation so openly same with Ambode? Even Jagaban and BRF didn't flaunt their religion affiliations so openly to the you that election in Lagos is without emotional and religious sentiments. Counter with facts and stop being emotional. This is pure politics and that's the truth on ground |

Lagos is predominantly Christian and they will decide who rules 2023, 2027 2031
Absolute nonsense Baba stop capping. The movers and shakers in Lagos are Muslims from the days of Lateef Jakande, Jagaban, Aregbe(Alimosho), Muri-Okunola, Fashola, Ashafa etc . But Religion has never being an issue in Lagos election but denying the obvious is what doesn't make sense. |
