opamoses1:SHUT UP AND STOP TALKING RUBBISH. The Palace of the Oba of Benin, from where those treasures were stolen, is not a place where ancient treasures are stolen and sent to Europe. How dare you? Even today a massive new museum is under construction in Benin City to house newly returned Benin treasures. https://static01.nyt.com/images/2020/11/13/arts/13adjaye1/13adjaye1-videoSixteenByNineJumbo1600.jpg |
MasterJayJay:He did not say God is punishing them. He said God WILL punish them. Don't twist his words. Your people are rushing to japa to where you want God to curse.WHY should they not rush to where their stolen wealth is deposited and even displayed in public museums? They have EVERY RIGHT ON EARTH to Japa. |
This is front page material. ![]() Mods, how far? |
ElSudani:And they proudly display them in their museums to say ''Yes, we stole them!'' With no shame. Sick people. https://www.britishmuseum.org/sites/default/files/styles/1_1_media_small/public/2020-06/Benin-Bronzes-1920.jpg https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FXe99u5XwAEcC5D.jpg https://global.ariseplay.com/amg/www.arise.tv/uploads/2021/09/Benin-Bronze.jpeg |
Sannisege:hehehehe ....Are you sure it's not Timothy Obianuju? ![]() Hence the coded change to 'Obasanjo'? ![]() |
ElSudani:What really gets me in those Benin Bronzes is the technical sophistication and attention to detail of the works, considering they were made up to a thousand years ago or more. |
OVB123:So-called democracy is a scam. |

British Looted Benin Bronzes from the Palace of the Oba of Benin, Dated from the 10th Century, Resurfacing In Europe! The British invaded and burned down the great city of Benin in 1897. They also burned the massive palace and looted its Bronze treasures, which are now resurfacing around the world, from Germany to Sweden to Holland to USA and Canada! It is widely believed that numerous Benin Bronzes are still hidden in vaults in major European capitals, with many sold in private auctions for millions of dollars. The Benin Empire is recognised universally as one of Africa's greatest pre-colonial civilisations. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/78/44/47/784447241ceb71314b2a66a4130cb951.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/564x/11/ee/20/11ee206413a4783defee1a839ceda51b.jpg https://i.pinimg.com/564x/dd/40/42/dd404228852d315f5bfca40e71c483fd.jpg |
saddler:The technical detail is amazing. |
babasolution:You are right. They need to man up. Those herdsmen have declared war on them. |
FreeStuffsNG:Who is he? Never heard of him. And showing the book cover of his work proves nothing. You forgot to mention the link to the National Museum Scotland I posted which said the kingdom was founded in the 10th century. And it's wrong to dismiss evidence that doesn't correspond to your claim as 'cut and paste'. ![]() |

FreeStuffsNG:It's you talking crap. Benin existed centuries before Eweka 1. ''The kingdom of Benin began in the 900s when the Edo people settled in the rainforests of West Africa.'' - BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z3n7mp3#z8rbg7h ''Edo oral history indicates that the kingdom was founded in around the 10th century and was ruled by a dynasty of kings titled Ogiso, who first established a court in the region of Benin City. The Ogisos also established the beginnings of the palace craft guilds, which led to the development of the kingdom’s unique artistic traditions in ivory, wood and metal. In about 1200 CE, the Ogisos are said to have been replaced by the current dynasty, when Prince Oranmiyan from the neighbouring kingdom of Ife was invited to take the throne at Benin.'' - National Museums, Scotland https://www.nms.ac.uk/explore-our-collections/stories/global-arts-cultures-and-design/benin-collections-at-national-museums-scotland/dive-in/the-kingdom-of-benin/ |

FreeStuffsNG:Technically, it is actually OLDER than the 10th century, ''The Benin Kingdom was "one of the oldest and most developed states in the coastal hinterland of West Africa". It grew out of the previous Edo Kingdom of Igodomigodo around the 11th century AD, and lasted until it was annexed by the British Empire in 1897.'' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kingdom_of_Benin |

justlovesfarmin:That’s Tinubu for you. It’s the Tinubu effect. Tinubu likes to see things work. That’s how he was in Lagos. Expect more of the same. |
I WONDER IF WIKE WILL FINALLY COMPLETE THE ABUJA MILLENNIUM TOWER 😕 |
aspabay:Don’t mind the idiots. As we are speaking there are Indian sailors under arrest in Nigeria after their ship carrying stolen oil was apprehended by the Nigerian Navy bang in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. |
matify83:Good points, but I don't think we're quite ready to rely on CCTV and so on, especially in relation to the attacks in rural areas. I think we underestimate the effects of good ol' Boots on the Ground in terms of police numbers. Flood an area with police and see how fast the so-called bandits disappear into the woods. It will be very difficult to create the type of synergy you envisage between the police and other security agencies. Their operating cultures and operational capacities are so disparate. |
