Mr man you are a bloody liar & an illitrate. My reason: a whole country can't be bought by a group of people & can never be bought, fool.
Abeg o, the story is just a satire piece o. It's from a webiste www.wazobiareport.com. I work in London and sometimes I get tired of the same old boring news from home on the naija news websites but this site always gives a funny spoof twist to the stories in the news. It is not real o! But I must confess, even I was fooled the first time someone sent the link to me last year, it was a story about our lawmakers making it illegal to diss the first lady. I only share the stories cus they make me laugh and I want to make other people laugh too.

Why dosen't this surprise me? I dey laugh o! Let's see if his campaign people quickly move to disassociate themselves from the group,  Not that there's anything wrong with being gay, They are people, just like us. And I particularly like gay men because the more of them there are, the less competition for straight men like me.  grin

At least some people are disassociating themselves from him: http://www.wazobiareport.com/reports/Non-endorsement-of-PDP-Presidential-Aspirants-by-National-Amalgamated-Supreme-Association-of-Native-Doctors-and-Animists

Global Business Syndicate Offers to buy Nigeria

Washington – A leaked diplomatic cable obtained by wazobiareport.com has revealed that a group of global business leaders, backed by the United States government, tendered a secret proposal to purchase Nigeria.

Key personnel at the Nigerian House of Representatives were involved in negotiation meetings that took place in Abuja and in London.
This is the first known time in world history that a business syndicate has offered to buy an entire country,

Sad. She's actually not that bad as an actress. But hey, she loves her man so she's decided to choose him over her career. Let's just hope neither of them end up with regrets.
A toast to the soon to be happy couple.

It is against my fundamental human rights for anyone to tell me how to dress.
People should be able to wear what they want. It smirks of illiteracy to even attempt to suggest otherwise.

Politics / Re: Al Mustapha Freed by LA2(m): 10:40am On Dec 22, 2010
Was he ever convicted? If no y d ill wish for him?

He was a soldier under command, pure and simple. Did his Nairaland critics watch him before d Justice Okputa panel? Even d respected Justice commended him at some points n couldn hardly find fault wt him. He is much more reasonable dn many of his critics on Nairaland when he speaks in his defense.

It's unfortunate dt he Ws involved in such cruel acts, bt despite all, how many of us would do otherwise if we were in his shoes? How many were in his position and did differently? By d way, I guess d case is still in court, so don't let us b prejudicial.

This is the simple truth. The guy is a soldier. His duty is to follow orders. Would anyone of us here like to be held without trail for even one week?

Nairaland / General / Jega To Detain Spiritualists Ahead Of 2011 Elections by LA2(m): 1:44pm On Dec 21, 2010
Abuja - Chairman of the Independent Nigerian Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Attahiru Mohammed Jega, OFR, is leaving nothing to chance in his determination to run a free and fair election in 2011.

According to the Chairman, all forms of rigging need to be anticipated and guarded against, and the use of juju to win elections constitutes unfair advantage - in other words, it is a form of rigging.

The Jega led INEC has already concluded plans to use video cameras to capture activities at and around polling boots in the 2011 elections.

This unprecedented and strategic move has already led to some political office aspirants to step down, but as the commission’s spiritual adviser pointed out, ‘Winch no dey show for camera.’ ,

Family / Re: She Wants A Maid I Don't Like by LA2(m): 1:16pm On Dec 20, 2010
My dear brother, perhaps your good wives strategy is to go with a maid you don't like. Perhaps the reasoning is that you wont be tempted by someone you don't like anyway. Ironical, isn't it?
I've got absolutely no advice for you on how to go about this one, but I can definitely tell you what NOT to do: What ever you do, DO NOT take the advice of those in here telling you to tell your madam your reason for not wanting the maid in question. Trust me, that path is froth with pain and anguish.

This is about the best news I've heard coming out of Nigeria in a while. Every time I go home, even for a week, I'm forced to splash out N5000 on BB access that wont kick in on the first day and that I wont use for more than the 6-7 day duration of my stay.
Do we have a competition watch dog in Nigeria? I really suspect that some of these big companies are getting together behind closed doors to set monopoly prices for their products.
