I am glad the Niger Deltans, especially the Ijaws are finally waking up. I used to think a spell was cast on them. Scatter everything yall. The injustices is just too much. Let us all renegotiate. Don't settle for anything less than regionalism or straightup partitioning of this hell-hole of a country 2 Likes 1 Share |

Politics / Re: Sen. Ben Murray-bruce Reveals Secret To Growing The Naira (must See) by Labee: 9:44pm On Feb 23, 2016 |
Ben Bruce needs to park very well. Yet his book was printed in the USA? https://www.nairaland.com/2952591/ben-murray-bruces-book-printed#43191279 . Why didn't he use our local printing presses scattered all over the country? Disu in Ladipo offers the largest variety and options of printing services in the country. OK here is a way he can prove to us that he is all about the betterment of Nigeria and our worthless naira, and not just gearing up for presidency in 2020; just allow 50% of the total movies that show in your Silverbird theatre to be our Nollywood movies, or even 20% and let the western movies be 80% of the total movies. I just see a guy that is gearing up for presidency. He is part of the problem, because he has been importing from day 1, even his wife, all the furnitures in his theatres were all imported. lol 1 Like |

Hey folks, can some body guide me on how I can get both my Etisalat and Mtn to work on my dual sim phone (if possible without rooting it). The whole rootiing process seems like a receipe for disaster because of the possibility of downloading viruses and malware. Any help will be appreciated |

ahmedonia4real: Oh I know. At TICT it will cost you 20K to position your container for next day (not guaranteed) |

In the midst of all these advise, we also need to point out that sometimes the computer server at the wharf can go down for days, and it will take "ONE WEEK" literally to release a job (this is for you folks that keeps saying that it shouldn't take 3,4, or 7 days to clear a container). This is not unusual. It has taken me 5 weeks to clear a container, yet I was doing everything right. God forbid that there is a congestion in the wharf, this would even compound an already complicated situation. Then you have to deal with the terminal payments. It can take you a whole day to pay just terminal charge at TITC. I personally don't believe that the duration this container is taking to exit the gates of the wharf is highly unusual. Ask any regulars at Apapa or Tincan wharfs and they can confirm what I am stating. Once that server goes down, everybody regardless of experience in the freight forwarding game, stands at attention until the server comes back up. But OP you still need to satisfy your curiosity and worries by going to Apapa yourself to verify the situation of this 2 Likes 1 Share |

OYAY: Thank you . You know exactly what could be happening. A lot of folks on here never even enter wharf before and they are already bashing the agent OP you need to follow the advice OYAY prescribed above. It is the best response. Take you behind to Apapa and figure out what is happening, rather than waiting on the agent who is probably stressed right about now |
Business / Re: Delay In Clearing My Cars At Lagos Port...am I Being Scammed? by Labee: 7:28pm On Feb 05, 2016 |
eksammy: Bros, your money to comfortably pull this container should be around N1,500,000 and N1,550,000. The agent was probably working with what you gave him. You probable dealt him a "take it or leave it type of deal", hence he took it, knowing that if it hooks you go still drop the remaining money. 1 Like 1 Share |

iPopAlomo: Oga with all due respect to you, his container has not even been at the wharf for 30 days, so how can he pay that kind of amount. I know that system very well. I import and clear my goods myself. TITC is right behind Zenith and Access bank in the Panasonic building at point road Apapa by area B police station, right opposite KeyStone bank. I am saying all this to prove to you that I am a regular. His demurrage on the terminal side at this level should be 12,600 per day for the container and not for units of cars. Depending on his arrangement with the shipping company, he might just pay little demurage. I always ship with ZIM lines or Hanjin, or United Arab shipping lines, and I make sure that my shipper gets me 21 days free 2 Likes 1 Share |

iPopAlomo: Oga no scare the guy like that nah (per the bolded above). Daily demurrage for terminal TICT 2nd or even Grimaldi na 8,800 naira per day for the first period. He appears to be in the last period. Hence his demurrage na N12,600 per day. You forgot to mention, releasing officer money. DC Money, CIU money, OC Gate money, even the agencies money (Police/anti bomb, SS, NDLEA, ), even valuation get money. This container should cost him N1,550,000 million to clear (assuming it is loaded with goods. However, if the container only contain just the 3 cars, then he should be paying N1,400,000 million naira. Any regulatory body can easily place alert on the system. For instance, the one that I cleared in December had an alert initiated by port CID. They claimed that they got information from New York that I had furniture in my container. I just laughed and gave them 10,000 (ten thousand naira), and they released the alert immediately 10 Likes 1 Share |

fulanimafia: How did he disarm him with logic? Like someone rightfully pointed out earlier, we love to compare apples to oranges alot as Nigerians. We are talking about an aggitation by over 5 southeastern states in addition to some south south states , and he is mentioning one USA state. Besides what are the reasons Texans have for seceeding from the USA? Are they marginalized like the Ibos. The last time I heard, Texas is one of the largest economies in the USA. If you have ever been to Texas, you will understand that nobody will ever understand why they will agitate for an independent state. Nobody will ever simpathyze with them. If you check well you will realize that majority of the so called 100,000 signatures have ties to the KKK racist movement. However come to the Southeast, and you will understand why the people are clamoring for an independent nation 13 Likes |

Stale news. What is this news going to do for us? I knew back in the 90s during the time of Saro Wiwa's death that Adekunle killed Boro, and his Ijaw people knew/know this too and it hasn't change a damn thing. Abeg one Nigeria jare, the oil belongs to all off us for now at least. Until after 43 years when the oil reserves has been depleted and the Fulani then finally looses interest in the Southern region. Then at that point, our Creek brothers MIGHT decide to get off their behinds and FIGHT for resource control (live demonstrations) or outright secession. But for now everybody, including our IPOB, need to STFU and enjoy that oil. Osun defender is trying to tell you IPOB folks that you cannot trust our Creek brothers. Call it divide and rule, then so be it 12 Likes 2 Shares |

nobilie: Bros, what we have here is a deliberate attempt and infact a success in keeping the southeast region backwards. If it were a problem of Nigeria, then the federal roads in the North and West (lets forget Lagos and Abuja for now) should have equally been neglected by the Fed's. How come there are goverment structures scattered all over the country besides the east. What we have is the federal government of Nigera, constantly punishing us for the war in the 60s. I mean there is no federal presence what's so ever in Abia state. Not a single one. Any reasonalble person can see why our young people want out of the Marriage called Nigeria. The almalgamation treaty has expired, so nobody needs to fight any kind of war. It is all going to be a peaceful desolution if this government keeps treating the South east as second class citizens |

IGBOSON1: Bros, why did you even bother responding to that clown. Obviously he is a little detached from the political realities on ground. Beside the valid facts that you pointed out "power residing in some far-off place .......", How in the world is the electorate going to have any kind of say and influences on reps that were rigged in? |

Folks this is Port Harcourt road Aba. I just came home to Aba, and had the privilege of snapping some photos. I equally found out that this federal road has not been touched since Sam Mbakwe days (1982). I wonder which federal road that hasn't been touched at least once in the last 2 decades. I also realized that all the government parastatal are all renting their offices from private individual. The folks in Abuja has simply refused to develop the town. There is no single federal presence, all you have is private individuals. And you wonder why we keep clamouring for Biafra 1 Like
