Unilag will humble you. I remember trying to get my transcript too. I sent emails to all the emails you sent to and even more, repeatedly. I was definitely far more desperate than you, because I was trying to beat a deadline. There was no response.

At a point, I even thought maybe I’ve forgotten my matric no. Which is impossible. Only Unilagrecords replied a month later thereabout, after I had already sorted myself out, asking me to go and complain to CITS, saying that they don’t have digital records of all their old students online, only the recent ones. WHY NOT WRITE THAT ON YOUR PORTAL, SO PEOPLE CAN BE WELL INFORMED!!!?

Do they know where I reside? Or how busy life gets? Or what people are going through individually? What’s the point of a digital transcript platform that doesn’t work? If you try to get your transcript from that online portal, I can only imagine the Shege one will have to go through and it may still end up being futile in the end with nobody to help you follow up, because some countries will require evaluation on top and with a million transcripts to process, yours might get lost inside soakaway.

In this country, if you don’t know anyone, you may just end up remaining where you are till you die, going round and round but not particularly going anywhere. Well…except God really wants to prove himself in your life. Such a shame. I’ve sent you the number of someone that works there so that he can help you out.

Hello, please can you share Mr Kunle's contact, I need to get my transcript also. Its urgent! Unilag has really shown me shege sad

Can anyone explain why this happens so much with SE Women? Someone said it's because they are bullied by their husbands so they transfer the aggression to kids?? Igbo husbands on Nairaland, why don't you put a stop to this? Very scary and pathetic situation!

Kingson28:
Please and please, DO NOT commit suicide no matter the situation.
Suicide sends you straight to Hell Fire🔥.
Thoughts of suicide are shot and projected into your mind by suicide demons.
Their assignment is to populate Hell for Satan.
If things are difficult for you in Lagos or any other place, relocate to countryside, where the pressure and cost of living are lower/cheaper.
Cut your coat according to your material.
Jesus is Lord and Saviour.
He will see you through.
Give your life and cares/worries to Him.
He will see you through.
Shalom.

Geez, are you an Adult? A grown up agbaya like you still believing in Hell Fire? Na wa o.
Car Talk / Must Brand New Tyres Have Threads? by Labelle(f): 6:51pm On Dec 13, 2023
Experts in the house. Please help me clarify this, I have been arguing with my friend about brand new tyres and how its is mandatory for them to have those small threads if they are truly brand new. But my friend says it is not a must.

Please who is correct here?
Phones / Re: Mtn Zlt M30s 4g Lte Mifi Review by Labelle(f): 5:48pm On Dec 03, 2023
This MTN Mifi is one of the worst purchase decisions I have made this year. It is completely useless and I truly regret buying it. Go on twitter and type "MTN Mifi Charging" and you will see loads of people complaining about the same thing.

The bloody device will not charge when plugged. Instead it discharges when plugged. It takes forever to charge when switched off and plugged.

Anyone using this for work or school will be sorely disappointed. You can imagine while conducting interviews on Zoom the thing just cuts off. Jeez. It's not even my main internet, I use proper broadband and just use the MTN Mifi as a backup.

Such a waste!

Investment / What Is The Most Stable And Historically Sound Stock On The NSE? by Labelle(f): 10:50pm On Apr 23, 2023
Good day great investors of Nairaland.

I am a new investor, looking to invest in stocks. My motivation for focusing on stocks is the huge gains I have received from investing in MTN last year. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I signed into the portal this morning. So with this experience, I want to diversify my portfolio.

I am considering just sticking to the top 7 companies by market cap. I do not intend to sell my shares until 4-5 years time (minimum). Is this a wise move? I am looking for a stock that is consistent in growth and stability (and has historically performed really well).

What sure banker stock do you recommend?

Crime / Are Igbos Allowed To Speak Their Language Publicly In Lagos? by Labelle(f): 5:26pm On Jan 07, 2021
I just left a supermarket somewhere in Lagos now and I cannot believe what happened.

The madam (of Yoruba tribe) was warning her staff at the counter not to speak Igbo with anyone including the customer she was conversing with. I was stunned at how irate she was, almost yelling that “she would not tolerate it”.

I then asked her why it was a problem since Yorubas spoke Yoruba all the time even within the office environment. This was her reply-

“No that is wrong, it is not SOCIALLY acceptable for both of them to speak Igbo publicly”, I then asked again why not, she was so furious…saying it may make a customer think they are gossiping… Each time she gave a response, she got even more angry. At this point the girl stopped and the customer walked away.

My question to Igbos in Lagos, is this a common occurrence where you live? Have you ever been berated for speaking your language in public?

I once bought an accessory for a phone, phone arrived before accessory. Phone was from the US and accessory from China. Phone arrived three months before accessory. Before accessory could arrive phone got stolen. One day I got a call I have an item at the PO, I rushed and it was the accessory and was told to pay ₦500 as postal fees. I just vex pay and now the accessory is just lying there and I can't even sell it as the phone is not a popular phone here (Google Pixel). These days even the accessory is lost, I just tire for shipping post covid19.

what accessory did you buy, I know someone who uses pixel

Lol...seun that started nairaland since he was based at sango or so if I remember correctly. He used to be quite active back then before nairaland grew this large. Back then it was known as a faceless forum and only very few people put up their pictures but yeah....seun was/is very real and he has worked his way up to a successful nairaland.
Op, are you seun, trying to create a conflict to drive more traffic?

Please check my profile and note the date I registered. This is not a joke.
