PoliticsBoko Haram: We’re Ready For Battle, New Leader Says by Labelle(op): 3:52pm On Aug 15, 2009
The emergent leader of the controversial Boko Haram religious sect, Sanni Umaru has vowed to continue waging a religious war "in Nigeria which no force on earth can stop." Umaru in an e-mail sent to newsrooms said his group’s aim "is to Islamise Nigeria and ensure the rule of the majority Muslims in the country,” adding that “we will teach Nigeria a lesson, a very bitter one."

In the statement, “We Speak as Boko Haram”, Umaru outlined a six-point agenda which he said the sect is ready to unleash on both the Northern and Southern parts of the country beginning this month.
According to him: "from the Month of August, we shall carry out series of bombing in Southern and Northern Nigerian cities, beginning with Lagos, Ibadan, Enugu and Port Harcourt. The bombing will not stop until Sharia and Western Civilisation is wiped off from Nigeria. We will not stop until these evil cities are turned into ashes."

Umaru said the killing of their leader, Mohammed Yusuf, "in a callous, wicked and malicious manner will not in any way deter us. They have lost their lives in the struggle for Allah." According to him "Boko Haram lost over 1000 of our martyr members killed by the wicked Nigerian army and police mostly of Southern Nigeria extraction; that the Southern states, especially the infidel Yoruba, Igbo and Ijaw infidels will be our immediate target."

ComputersRe: Visafone Internet Connection! Any Hope? by Labelle(f): 12:49pm On Jul 16, 2008
WIRINET,

I have the same exact problem!!!! and I found out that the problem with receiving only 1x reception is actually from the card. My collegue and I purchased the same plan, with the same Aircard, the same time. He has no problem with EVDO reception, infact, his hardly flunctuates towards 1x but mine's permanently indicating 1x in use. But when we swop cards, a miracle occurs, i get EVDO without any fluctuation issues while He gets 1x. Infact, if you truely want to confirm that the speeds from the 1x and EVDO receiving cards are not the same, open a youtube video at the exact same time and monitor the stream speed. That's exaclty what i did, not once, not twice but three times, and the difference in strem speed is unquestionable.

Last week i finally found time to visit their GRA Ikeja office to address this problem and the nutjob techi guy there, who obviously doesnt know a nibbe bit about 1x evdo technically issues just messed around with the watcher settings, reinstalled the drivers then returned the laptop concluding that since CNN's webpage could open in less than a minute(even with the recepion stll indicating 1x in use) the problem had been fixed.

ofcourse when i got back to the office, the sitaution was a lot different. They have now advised me to take my laptop/card to their saka tinubu offfice, which ill be visiting this weekend. god help them if they dont give me my money's worth =EVDO plan.

Dont be deceived by the speed you get when you go to any of their offices, its a given the connection would be faster, DUH? What's clear is that they sold me a 1x plan which is ofcourse a couple of thousands cheaper, when i paid for an EVDO silver plan.

Lastly, visafone has not an existing customer care structure, no one, just the people that help you collect your money, these chaps know not more than that, although they pose as customer care personel.

So pls dont just come here to whine, wear your fight boots and match down to the neasrest visafone office and demand that your service be upgraged to evdo, which is what you payed for!!! If they tell you trash, grab them by the nut and then make your request again!!
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Celtel Or Alder Consulting? Please Advise! by Labelle(f): 1:44pm On Jan 17, 2008
Are you actually considering this? Like seriously? Alder is an exceptional company where you can earn invaluable experience. Celtel is a complete bore in terms of creativity and brand strategy. Dude, there's one thing getting the job and another keeping. With Alder they work with visible results, it aint just about idea brewing and astute mumblings but practicality and workability of suggested strategies.

oh yeah ,2weeks ago, i had a bother with my service (celtel) so i called their so called 24hr help line, as usual im given directions to rectify the hitches(that like never yields any fruitful results) the convo ends with recomendations for manual servicing at their office. The next thing i know the dude's calling me up, saying he couldnt get me off his mind, etc.i immediately dismissed him.

i doubt that there are any nigerians who would end their lives no matter how much was at stake, virgins, hard currency or both. Those reported 'explosives' are mere gun powder like substances intended to be used for some abuja festival scheduled , to take place sometime this month. Nobody in the airport could verify the nature of these substances until a number of foreign figures were called in.

I find that word 'fan' highly revolting.I recommend terms like that should be reserved for d millions of unfortunate victims who would ditch john mayer's limited EPP edition of 'CONTINUUM' for something as mundane as lip singing sounds of the simpson sisters.Id rather words like friends or people who cant put up with d bewildering outburst of mediocre music. All tanx2high_power R-label influence

@ ladex178 your post 'point of correction to you all, stella's not actually going to space but she is to------' has been published. Well not a hell of a big deal, still its worth being mentioned. It's in Segun Adeniyi's column (the verdict) of friday's thisday, used as reference to buttress point on the level of ignorance swirling the nation. Shame it took them this long to clearify in the papers.

Nutter,

You spell as one of stern Moral rectitude,

One  who embraces Raw- writing in its entirety,

One who responds pugnaciously to antagonistic remarks only atfer due consideration.

Like the skillfull reportage of the poltical journalist , each
post , far from the torny wig of hipocrisy.

A Titan  of great learning, articulate and armed with trechant critisms et witt.
one who does not take umbrage at uncouth remarks, directed at his person, by those who portary him as imperious.

These atrributes somewhat engage my hormrones in countless spasms of excitement, anxiety and curiousity.

The only antidote, a consented response.

Is not this enough thrust to counter great conversation?
