Guys pls help me. Which hospital or clinic in Lagos does the medical examination and how much do they charge per person. I'm thinking of going for upfront medicals. I'm tired of waiting.

So does this mean a child of 2 years who is an American citizen would not require visa? But will she need to do medicals?

Thank you.

If she's going for visiting or tourist visa, she doesn't need a visa for 180 days ONLY
So in your case, she needs a Visa and medical

Hi peeps. For someone going with a child, will the child also need to undergo medicals?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Labims: 9:11am On Nov 02, 2018
Dear Frank, thanks much for your response. Her husband won't be going with her and they also have properties and farm which would be in care of her husband while she is away. The initial plan was for her to be a self sponsor plus her husband co-sponsoring.as she has worked foe over 13years.
I want to clarify if you meant its better for her husband to act as the sole sponsor.... She'll like to send you her LOE/SOP for proof reading if you don't mind...

Hello Labims,

Having 2 sibling's residing in Canada is a very strong tie to Canada. Therefore, the onus is dependent on the applicant to show sufficient ties to her home country that can compel her return after studies. She has a lot of work to do concerning her home ties compared to an applicant that doesn't have anyone in Canada. Her reasons for coming back must be very rational and well substantiated in her SOP. That being said, it would make a whole lot of sense if the sibling over there in Canada writes an attestation/reference letter addressing it to the consular officer. That the sibling will be responsible for her accomdation, feeding and other miscellaneous expenses incurred by her during her studies in Canada. This at one point will reduce the financial burden for the sponsor. Also, I would advise the applicant father, or hubby to stand as the primary sponsor to her visa application as this will make her application stand out.

I wish her the best.

Hi peeps! Your candid advice is needed for someone with family ties in Canada. She has two siblings living in Canada with their families. She plans to go with her daughter. Can she state in her LOE/SOP a sibling would be accomodating her, sibling willing to send her letter of attestation. Or is it better to state the sibling would be sponsoring her?

Thank you.

Perhaps you should call IOM Abuja to book appointment and then decide if worth making the trip or waiting till November 21. The earlier you can get out of this cycle, the better before another bottleneck,(eg. Quota) is introduced.

I've been able to schedule an appointment with Q-life family Clinics for 21st November.

Dear Team! Addendum contd: she has two siblings with families in Canada, can she declare this in her SOP and also can she get one of her siblings to write they'll be hosting her and her daughter till they settle in?

4 months bank statement is sufficient here. Additionally, If the funds in the investment account can be liquidated and will be readily available once she finally secures her TRV, you can also include it with her application, but endeavour to attach a reference letter from the bank attesting this to be true.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Labims: 7:08am On Oct 25, 2018
Good morning gurus, just an addendum to my earlier post. There has been transactions in her current account cos it's her salary account. However, there is currently no balance as her funds are in investments. How many months do you think she should build the funds in current account before printing statement to apply?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 15 by Labims: 2:14am On Oct 25, 2018
Equivalent of $10,000 in CAD. This is the maximum .
So if he decides to take 10,000CAD, it's fine as it still falls within the allowed amount.
amozag2018:
It is 10,000 Canadian Dollars and not US dollars
