Hmmn. It is well. Like I stated in a similar thread. It's not a big deal to migrate. I just wish they are leaving with their own parents and siblings because no one will cater to them for them.

As a matter of fact, it is everyone's right to migrate to anywhere to seek greener pastures and you don't even need to be educated.

When overseas, I see a lot of foreigners loaded in long buses and being daily conveyed to their work sites and same workers can do same work in their native land but opted to work overseas to earn more so it's not a big deal rehashing the overused excuse that they are paid well overseas. We get it. We equally get why the Cuban doctors will rather stay back for their own parents and country. It's all about value system and personal choices. Nobody should judge them. Even garbage collectors overseas earn more than same modestly paid hardworking garbage collectors here in Lagos.

It is the propaganda and sensational way the news of a doctor transferring his or her service from Nigeria to overseas like every professional and non professional does in most developing countries, is being used that makes me to reflect on why folks, especially healthcare professionals, who choose to stay back can call their bluff whenever they need the help of those who stayed behind to build.

Those migrating overseas can't eat their cake and have it. Nobody will take care of their parents and siblings for them to the best of their satisfaction. It perfectly reminds me of perhaps why no one took the son of the late CBN deputy governor serious when he was 'instructing ' the doctor here to do CPR on his dad when the guy already did so and the man had passed out but the son kept thinking he could fill his absence on a phone at a time his father critically needs him and would have wished to be under his care .

It's not a secret that nobody takes them serious when they call on phone to intervene after fleeing overseas.

That's why they should learn from the experiences of others. To avoid such scenario, if I am in their shoes,I will rather go with my parents than bank on the folks you are leaving behind. The folks they are leaving behind today to build Nigeria will not abandon their own parents to cater to your parents you are leaving behind.

When my interest gets back to driving, what I want to do is learn sport driving for fun. A no wan suffer myself in Lagos traffic. When I am settled in my comfortable place, I will start soon. I am a born again Christian but honestly I respect Fela pass most of these church leaders you have today.

He reminds me more of the prophets of old than them. He's not afraid to call brutal dictators to order as Elijah and John the baptist among others did in their days.

I know of his excesses and negative side, but I appreciate and have the highest regards for the good and positive aspect of Fela.

Upon getting to their apartment, she had packaged raw rice, beans, noodles and few things I'd need to Cook inside a small sack. She said her children told her they've not seen me cook since yesterday. I thought it was a dream. Upon reaching my apartment upstairs with joy, i noticed gas has finished. I went to knock at her daughter's window maybe they have kerosine so so I could use stove instead. She should be around 12 years then. Instead of giving me kerosine, she went straight to tell her mum. The woman called me again and gave me her 8kg gas cylinder. She said' uncle bring it around 8am tomorrow. I finished cooking rice that day few minutes past 12 midnight. I ate the food with tears, not because i was sad but the because I've been so hungry that day and I never had hope of eating anything till the next day.
Till date, that's the help I can't forget. I now work and earn well to the glory of God. I don't joke with her children till date. Ie send them money even when they don't ask
