iamrealdeji: in fact he was a friend of mine, the dude was a big boy in school and brilliant, but somethings went wrong And looking at the matric number, I knew he must be an engineering student. In 2004, over 30 students from both Mini and PS faced same disciplinary action courtesy of the police officer called OGIDAN. Its either: 1. He was involved in cultism or robbery 2. He was involved in exam malpractices 3. He had issues with girls |

omonnakoda: Interesting. Is there any significance to not holding a glass? No there is no significance. I guess being a Muslim, he's not permitted to take alcohol which I believe is being served. My thoughts though. |

Education › Re: Do Archaeologist Have A Promising Future In Nigeria? by laboguashi(m): 12:37pm On May 11, 2015 |
I would say yes they do although a lot of factors tend to make their work an uphill task.
1. Culture - it would be a challenge for archaeologists to enter a 'shrine' or a site where the culture of the people forbid to carry out excavations.
2. Funding - carrying out successful archaeological work requires funding. You may need to deploy GPR ( Ground Penetrating Radar) to pinpoint exact location where your work should be done. After data acquisition comes the interpretation which could also be expensive.
3. Motivation - what is/are the motivation(s) for archaeologists? Is it monetary? Is it the quest to know more about how we came to be where we are? If the right motivation(s) is/are not there, at the slightest resistance, the work ends.
That being said, every field of endeavor/research has a starting point. If the pioneers do not relent irrespective of challenges faced, over time, positive results will come.
My views though. |

Unfortunately, it seems we Dont have anyone with links or contacts on the inside that can help with information to calm down our nerves. I've put off a 3 week project because of this cos I Dont want to start and stop the project halfway. It is well. |

Trut: But they have power to suck our money, I suggest Nigerians should boycott their services and go for the alternative. Go to their outlets and see Nigerians on long queues to pay for their subscription. If there had been a boycott, the rates would have been reduced without court order. As usual, Nigerians would rather adjust than boycott. You can only blow heat, no action. |

iyatrustee: Na steal the church member steal the money? why does he need to take physical cash for annointing? I don't think any bank will give loan of 10m and allow the person withdraw the whole cash like that. The money must have been sourced from somewhere else. The bank will want to monitor how you spend the money they loaned out to a customer. Even if he has to pay for anything of that amount, it would be a transfer. I don't believe the scammed guy joor. |
