Now, have you felt the whip lash of the designer of the universe? If the Designer of the universe was anything like the 'God' of Nairaland, maybe the 'God' of Nairaland wouldn't even be alive to play 'God'. |

Seun: That's misleading. He was banned for breaking the rules. He wasn't banned for merely creating the thread. He made some false accusations, etc. We officially have a "God" of Nairaland. If nairaland could have over twenty rules, it makes me wonder how this complex universe could operate on so many principles and laws, yet without a designer... |

damogul: I find it absolutely insulting to come under a thread such as this and "insignificantly" present proof here when this thread was read while online and then instead of putting the exposure thread side by side with this on equal front page status seun tenders some lame apology?
I will do this my way
New thread loading. Just quit with this, it's obvious what's going on in here. This thread should have been closed instead, but here it is still misleading people and Seun wants us to come here and make a fool of ourselves, after this thread has clocked how many pages? The thread of a busted liar left open, while that of the person who exposed the lie gets shutdown...Tomorrow someone will come here and say God is wicked, when the little power they wield is used for oppression. Wonder if they were God who is all-powerful, we would all have been dead for exposing a lie. |

Lennycool: Saying a God that justifies slavery and genocide is good is biased. That's what makes you blind. You see your complacency as a virtue and that's very bad. Just reason the bible and its fables. How did a penguin or kangaroo enter the ark? Two animals can't give birth to an animal of another specie, meaning you would need millions of species in a small ark that wouldn't contain them? How would they survive the cold or lack of oxygen Since the flood was higher than the tallest mountain? how would plant life survive half a year under water? How did the animals return back to their natural habitat? Why is there no evidence besides the Bible? Why is the flood story a copy of a text thousands of years older then the bible. Why are there civilizations and plant life older than the flood? I know you want to skip right through these questions or even rationalise then with God. But I advice you to ponder them. It doesn't mean a God doesn't exist, but it does mean your religion like the others might have him all wrong. Think Honestly I don't know how you see those questions, Lennycool, but they make me laugh... really! You can never understand the Bible unless you yield to the Holy Spirit. Just try speaking poetry to non-poets... |

Lennycool: Na I don't believe any religious God is real. The bible is flawed, scientifically and historically. Again you can't say God is love of he just commanded the death of innocent people and children. If Zeus or Odin had commanded it you would have seen how evil it was, but since its God its good. You're blinded my friend. My brother, if knowing Jesus is being blind, then, please Lord, I don't ever want to see! |

HardMirror, hope you are OK? This one you're running round the thread and waking up trouble all over.
Please, get your proof quickly so this matter will die down quickly.
I know Hardmirror is just a moniker but don't forget a good name is better than riches.
I'm sure if you decide to change your moniker, you'll regret it a lot cos this moniker of yours mean so much to you.
This is the time to vindicate yourself and not by fooling around and thinking you're fooling everyone here.
I'm just happy to see you lively sha. At least you're hale and hearty and I thank God for that.
But vindicate yourself as quickly as possible. Why are you so concerned with someone who is doing the devil's work? Why are you so concerned about someone who will go to that length to bring down your God and call Him fake? I don't share your soft spot for the dude. |
Christianity Etc › Re: D by LaClicKLaBenDin(m): 6:48pm On Nov 27, 2016 |
Lennycool: My guy I once believed in God. All this your excuses are things I would have once made myself.
First of all working in the times doesn't make him all loving or even good. From the flood to the Egyptian infanticide God has proven he is anything but all loving And God is a respecter of no man, he doesn't work in their he creates his own standards. If he didn't then he wouldn't have made any laws.
Again God is not a respecter of man. He is timeless, and no matter what time it was, killing innocent people and even children can never be considered good. I hope one day you'll see how flawed the bible really is. Like I did. Brother, I didn't know what informed your decision to give up on God, but regardless of what it is, just always know that God is God, and God is love. I don't know if you felt let down or something, but it doesn't change the fact that good is good and all He does is done in righteousness. The Bible isn't flawed, the Bible is a spiritual book that needs a spiritual understanding; it is not just like every book. From what you said above, I feel more like you believe that He is God, just that you don't see Him as being a loving God, am I correct? |

MuttleyLaff: 12“I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. 13“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. - John 16:12-13
"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. - John 14:26
Apart from the disciples, every believer too, have successive inflow of the Holy Spirit, which teaches them all things, understanding the Bible inclusive
Believers, like the disciples, are expected to be fishers of men. and patience is really required to be a good fisherman but LaClicKLaBenDin was blasting you with both barrels because he was impatient It seems like a bad judgment, him being rattled by comments and getting impatient too.
The bible is a book of divisions no doubt
Wish you subscribe to being called a nigger as much as you readily, willingly and without any problem call believers christian
Bring it on, share them, would love to read about the Bible verses from Paul view that contradicts the teachings of Jesus Christ
You're speaking for yourself. Right? I was very impatient with him....But rattled? No! How can someone who claim to be a born again Christian and baptised, question the ministry of the Holy Spirit? Just how? Did you see his reaction when I asked him if he was born again, and when I asked him to explain what he meant by "Liberal Christian"? Those reactions informed my impatience This topic is a very sensitive one and for someone who calls himself a believer to state such things and defend them, it's quite discouraging to the weaker ones who will come across such....This issue of reading the Bible without the help of the Holy Spirit is the major reason why people fall away or end up with strange doctrines. How can we not depend on the Holy Spirit to understand the Bible, when even Jesus charged his disciples to tarry till the Holy Spirit comes, before witnessing? In fact, the real Christian journey begins the day you're baptized in the Holy Ghost, because without the spirit of God, it is impossible to run this race. Maybe I need more patience..thanks for pointing that out. |

Lennycool: Ahh not quite. The Chinese were mortal men and there God isn't supposed to be all loving or even existent.
Joshua on the other hand was advised by an all loving unchangeable God, and to you this God is very real. So why would an intelligent and loving God sponsor genocide? You can't blame it on the time as God is timeless and know all. This actually got me laughing.... One, you don't believe in God or the Bible, so, how do I start explaining the workings of this God to you? Just how? And what will be the objective; to make you believe in him, the Bible, or change your views about religion? God works and walks with man according to the times. In the garden of Eden when man fell, and realised he was naked, God made clothe of skins for them. Now, if God were to make clothes or provide clothes for me, do you think He will use animal skins in this present age and time? Of course He'd provide Jean and Segreto Shirts... I still maintain my stand that judging from the context of the times and era, those two stories are normal. |

It not why? Regardless of the religious intonation to the two stories, they're all right judging by the context of the era that these events took place, and you're intelligent enough to know that. Back then, it was basically survival of the strongest kingdom. How did the Roman empire become that big and extensive, wasn't it through conquest? |
