kelvine95: Since you applied feb 4th, you should have tried to get your gcms notes in March/April. I applied got mine exactly 1 month after eligibility review started(i.e. march 17th) and I saw that the pre-assessment was flawed, and since they wrote review required, I quickly responded to it and somehow God made the right VO review my application. May 5th I got a medical request from them.
I think this also to every other person, don’t wait till it is 1 week to your resumption before you start trying to get your gcms notes. Truth is, the review of your application is done quite fast by a Case Analyst, and subsequently a more senior officer goes through your file and the recommendations of the case analyst to make a final decision. If the case analyst writes negative stuffs about you from your gcms notes, you can still appeal before a VO goes through it. This has worked for a few persons, and I think it is a way to go.
Stay blessed! It will end in praise for us all. marcelonwa: I also did the same thing when gcms came in late last month, it’s on review required and there comments too, I replied them immediately, am hoping for a positive response too like kelvin95 got On his own application
It will end in praise Please how do you "respond", "appeal" or "reply" to negative review before a more senior officer reviews your application after getting GCM notes? My Application is exactly one month old today, can I go ahead and order for it? |

I feel that for every number of positive response dished out by the Canadian VOs, there is an equal number of negative response also given out. Like, they hold meetings and discuss the number of approvals and rejections for each week/month. Some of us will just be victims, it's very sad.
Someone can not even say congratulations in peace without feeling guilty for a corresponding rejection. |

I uploaded the medical form I got from IOM when submitting my application and I’m yet to see a notification that my medicals have been received. Note: IOM called me three days after to inform me that I passed my medicals and they have sent my result to the Embassy. Pls I’m worried on what to do? Thanks Same here, did mine on 29th but it's yet to reflect on my profile. |

Frankrobbn1: A deed of gift from sponsor? That doesn't sound logical in the immigration terms. He should rather state it on his letter of sponsorship and affidavit of support that he has transferred a certain amount to demonstrate his financial capability of sponsoring your studies in Canada.
It will end in praise Sorry to draw your attention back Mr Frank. Does it mean getting a financial gift deed from a sponsor or co-sponsor isn't reasonable? I ask because a sum of 10 mil was gifted to me by the person I used as a consponsor, though he is not related to me but has shown enough financial commitment towards me and my studies from way back, after father's death(was a close friend of father). I did a gift deed to that regard and I used him as a co-sponsor in my sop(though I am self sponsored since the money in my account plus the one he gifted me will be enough for my studies). |

Lekiboboe: To the bolded , No you didn't
Probably IOM Abuja don't offer such service (sending a Medical test result to applicants).
But IOM Lagos do send test results to applicants if they ask for it (by mail) If I had known their services differ according to their location, I would have gone to Lagos, I need that medical result. I will still request for it via mail. Thank you. |

Good morning house.
I got a call from IOM Abj that test result is ready and they would be sending it to IRCC soon. They said it was ok. I asked if I could also get a copy of the result and the lady at the end of the line said NO. She said they don't send a copy of the result to applicant.
I thought I read somewhere here that one could also get a copy of the result via mail? Did I read wrong? |

If I hadn't read it numerous times here on nairaland, I would have rejoiced at the speed but it is nothing. I think I am prepared for the mental stress and the long wait. None. I did upfront medicals on 29th and uploaded the slip via webform on 2nd with plenty errors on the body of the mail, I just hope they excuse the errors and just focus on the subject of the webform and the attached medical slip..LOL No update on the medical but I plan calling IOM after 7 working days if it isn't uploaded. |

IRCC be hoarding PPRs and giving applicants high BP and restlessness, It's not easy to maintain focus but we must, for our sanity. Happy new week people!

JustMellow: Hello LadyBlaq,
Worry not about the compression, relax your mind. If there are any documents not submitted and you think are important, use the webform and/or email. You may not get a response via webform, but you will get one via email.
Best of Luck Thank you Sir. |

Baphil: Oh no! I wish you had not yet submitted.
However you can still attach your documents through a webform if you so desire.
It is well. Don't fear; it will never sort out anything. Let's look out for solutions instead. Send the documents, let me see if I can reduce them. @olasubomy @Spectro Thank you for the words of encouragement. I will do that and hope for the best. @Baphil Thanks a lot, sending the transcript alone won't be too stressful via webform, yes? I will have to read up the Dos and Don'ts of sending information via webforms before sending the transcript. To be on a safer side, I sent you a mail, if you don't mind, please reply, I would appreciate if you'd give me an input on how to construct the mail for the webform. Thanks again. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by LadyBlaq: 11:45pm On Apr 19, 2021 |
Spectro: You should have asked questions on this platform?
Did you just say you shaded documents
What you can do now is send your transcript via email to IRCC. Also, write a letter of explanation addressing sensitive issues, and send to them.
Then pray! I meant to type "shedding", as in removing some docs. For instance, two docs that served the same purpose; I removed one, my four page transcript; I removed the first and last page. I thought that since I uploaded my degree cert and my intended course of study &work experience has little or nothing to do with my transcript, coupled with the fact that I had to achieve the much needed 4.09 mb, I could "shed" some pages with not so important information....I realize I was wrong. I will send a webform first thing tomorrow with a letter of explanation. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by LadyBlaq: 11:16pm On Apr 19, 2021 |
Lekiboboe: To me this is wrong, you have altered the transcript and made it invalid. In fact the page(bearing the address and office of the sender, name and recepient of the transcript) and the last page (bearing final cumulative GPA) as rendered it totally invalid and not a Legit Transcript, cos the bolded shows the source of the transcript, signatory etc. A Visa Officer might question your Transcript if he sees such.
A Transcript is a very delicate document, reason why many schools abroad always want the applicant school in their home country to send the transcript themselves directly to the school aboard.
4.09mb is the file upload limit, so try see if you can still do something about the compression of some of the files you intend to submit for your application.
Submitting a Transcript is no too much info. As regards refusal, NO TWO APPLICATION IS THE SAME!!!!. Avoid Comparison of an application to another, what favored Adekunle Might not favor Tochi cos they might have different background and financial capability Chai! I don enter ooo What do you suggest I do please? I have submitted my application already. Also, the transcript was sent to the organisation I work with and it's the same address(contact) I used for my visa application. I got the soft copy in my mail and the hard copy immediately the secretary received it. That's the same transcript I uploaded as I don't have the student copy (my school don't issue to students). My fear has gotten a solid ground and the best of me. |

Baphil: What was the volume of the complete documents?
Send them (the complete documents) to me, let me see if I can help you. I got 41mb at first, then after some heavy compression and shadings, I got 4.0 on the dot. The thing is this, I already submitted my application. I am so scared right now. I wish there's a way I can attach additional documents. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 18 by LadyBlaq: 11:10pm On Apr 19, 2021 |
olasubomy: Don't be scared about the refusals you have seen. Everyone has a unique story that distinguishes you from other applicants so I would say attach supporting documents enough for you to convince yourself that you are good to go.
I had a similar problem like yours while trying to merge my documents together to submit my application most especially the CLIENT SECTION which always takes the bulk. I also understand that the more you compress the documents, the more it looks so blurred and you are scared if the Visa Officer would be able to read it.
What I did was to separate the University Certificate, University Transcript, IELTS Result and Professional certification and attached it to the Admission Letter on the Certificate of Acceptance section of the online application portal. With that, I am able to free up some space in the client section. I also started each section with a table of content and page number so it is easy for the visa officer to see at a glance the documents in each section and makes their review faster.
It is better to upload your transcript end to end the way your school issued it to you without leaving out any page just to answer your question.
I wish you success. I have submitted my application already like that. I was so scared that VO won't see the contents when they all appeared blurry so I started shading some documents. Please is their a way I can send additional documents and maybe reattach the transcript? |

I have a question please, I removed a lot of files while trying to achieve the needed 4mb capacity. For instance, my transcript is 4 pages in length, but I only uploaded the two middle pages that had the course details taken while I removed the first page(bearing the address and office of the sender, name and recepient of the transcript) and the last page (bearing final cumulative GPA).
Now the question, is this an act of hoarding information? I am asking because i have seen a lot of refusals because of too much info or too little info. |

Austin163: This Canada study permit is really stressing we Nigerians. Someone at the age of 40 can decide to go for bsc or even for diploma courses, its no body's business. One can finish bsc and decides to go for another bsc, honestly I can decides that. I blame our leaders that created all these problems for we youths.
When I was applying for my diploma degree in one of the colleges in NL, one of the requirements to apply is that I must have gone to a higher institution for not less than 3years which means I can use bsc or HND to apply to get a diploma cert. If there is no career progression, why such requirements. How can someone be denied a study permit after giving admission and paying tuition fee. I believe that Schools should work with Embassy before giving admission.
This personal assets and finance Visa officers are requesting, is it for someone at the age of 25years who want to study that they are asking! Even in their place, how many people under 30 years can boast of landed properties, their citizens go to school with loans.
Upon after providing these requirements, NSE will come up with their own, they will still delay and refuse applicant the opportunity after several months. I really blame our bad government for all these humiliation and stress this Canadian VOs are causing us.
My points though, not writing to impress or go against anyone's views or points. I just decided to pour out my mind. A very sad truth |
