Whitney Houston is a perfect case of a man sinking a woman with him, and today he got himself clean and is remarried. But they always want to talk about the one in a million cases that turned out right. And make it a standard for every woman,they say it means the lady is loyal and a ride or die, but if she had died while riding i am sure he will not blink twice to replace her.

Thanks for this post, I was having a conversation with a Christian fanatics about this same topic, she further buttress her point referencing were Jesus said in the beginning, it was not so, but I made her realize that in the beginning, domestic violence, adultery etc was not so. May God give us a better understanding and the kind of marriage we desire

I was talking to an older woman the other day and she made a statement that hit me ,she said "na who nor talk e own come out you nor go know ,many women dey suffer but na manage we dey manage marriage, men na men". Then i had to ask her who made it a standard that women have to put up with that attitude tho, then i asked her how much effort she was putting into making sure she doesn't raise her son to be another woman's headache. It seemed rude but it had to be said.

Why must women be told oh "na man" so does being a man excuse him from bad behavior.why is he the head of the home if he cant lead by example? Why does a woman have to be raised from childhood on how to be a good home maker where as all man needs is himself.

I see many people saying "make money and you can get the best of women at your beck and call" they forget that with an ugly personality there is a limited time a woman can stay for the money,except the ones with low self esteem disguised as "obeying the holy book".

A man who is a fool and later has money is nothing but a fool with money and you know they say "a fool with money is more dangerous than a bullet".

May the eyes of our women be open to stop babysitting grown men in the name of getting a ring on it.

I remember a guy once telling me "men are like babies" and I cut him short. Men are not babies, please. I don't spend my time fixing or rewarding a man with such issues. When there are responsible men out there. God forbid!!

Thank you, i wonder who told them that they are babies ,the only baby a woman a should look after is the one she bore ,if he is a baby its his mothers duty to fix him ,nor be you born am. He is a full grown man,you are both adults no woman should accept the responsibility of refining a grown man.

A real man should fix himself before seeking out a partner, women are not baggage managers or rahabilitators. However if any woman feels they are born to be saviours and feel the need to work hard to earn a ring, they are free, but it should never be a standard for other women who decide to have self esteem and value their sanity cos i must tell you it is draining to mould a full grown adult.

Its not a woman's duty to fix her man or stay through disrespect it usually doesn't end well ,forget Gucci's case is one in a million case , but i have to ask how many nights of headache his wife had to go to bed through all the public disrespect the drugs ,the jail ,the public cheating. If she didn't at one time need to see a therapist i would be shocked . So to get a ring of Mrs one has to come out worn out emotionally and broken in spirit, lol.

Ladies, it is not your duty to raise a man, that is his mother's duty. They say "a good woman builds her home" but guess what "a good man gives you a foundation to build on" and if he is giving you a sandy foundation ,that house you are putting effort to build will crumble.

Real kings get their sh1t together before seeking out their queens and if he was badly raised its not your duty to fix him, "ride or die" makes you loyal they say, but trust me if you die while riding you will be replaced in no time.

As women we have been told that a woman's crown is her husband ,but if he is badly raised he will become the reason for your reproach. You don't have to cover up for any man's BS just to massage his ego,neither do you have to lower your standard just to bear the "mrs" tag.Nobody is perfect but a man with toxic behavior is not your duty to fix ,you are not a therapist neither are you a rahab center. A man will change because he wants to change not because you want him to,stop putting up with abuse and disrespect because society expects you to hold a man down, if he cannot hold himself ,its not your duty to hold him.

If you have not taken anything from all i have said ,take this with you,no man should be the source of your travails, rather he should be by your side while both of your battle the storms of life together.

if i was in a first world country,i would probably live in a house with a chihuahua and gardens to tend to than mix with people. So you are not alone my dear.

I had a similar experience ,i was on queue to take card at a govt hospital, the guy who is to attend to us ,left us and was busy gisting with another colleague of his that just walked in. This is a queue that you have to stand for hours just get card because the crowd was much so one has to go early ,if not that i was referred cos the private hospital didn't have a dermatologist i would have no business going there.

So a lady behind me got angry as this guy has been gisting for almost 20 mins while we were standing ,he came and said he was going to show her that is how this guy attended to me since she was next he left his post and everyone behind the lady had to go and find where to sit cos he refused to attend to her or anyone behind her. I just shook my head cos there were very elderly people on that queue too.

Every govt parastatal in this country is so messed up,they behave like demi gods because they know they cannot be held accountable ,they probably got the position through someone that knows someone ,so in their mind "who you wan report me to ?".

Watch "the deceptive promise of free trade" you will see that first world countries after putting punitive measures on goods supported their local producers to atleast match the price of the imported ones. People are paying through their noses for home grown goods that are of low quality compared to imported ones. We cannot because of nationalism subject our own people to more lowered standard of living by forcing people to buy more expensive low quality home goods.

This is how they gave dangote monopoly to produce cement and the price never went down. A country like Nigeria filled with wicked people should not be run on capitalism cos any paddy to the govt given the opportunity will suck the citizens of Nigeria of its last juice while the govt looks away so long as they get their own share.

In a country where people still take agricultural loans to build houses and banks dont care so long as you service the loans and the real farmers are made to go through rigorous processes and give up on loans.

Nigeria will not the the first nor the last country to close its borders but if we fail to revert to self substainabilty and stop paying lip service to issues and making progress on paper,then we are just running in circles and shooting ourselves in the foot cos this will not hold for too long.

I met this new guy. It's long distance and we say we want to make things work. He will visit soon according to him. But he is asking for financial help barely after one week. Last week I sent him 2k for fuel, now he is asking for another money. He said he will bring it when coming next week. I am disappointed.
This is the reality women now has to face, how come it's during the time we met you're suddenly broke? Yet it is the women that are gold diggers. He isn't the first person, more women just need to speak out as much as the guys are complaining about girl asking for financial help barely into a new relationship.
Update; now begging for sub money I don't know what is wrong with some guys of nowadays. No dignity
