oh hush Dayo angry. Nothing wrong with a man doing his bit. He lives in the house as well so whats the big deal? Women are not slaves. And if you love someone shouldnt you help them whatever way you can?

Even if a woman is a house wife there should be something her husband does to assist in the house.

Personally he doents need to cook thats my domain I love doing it. However I hate ironing with a passion nothing wrong with hubby doing the ironing plus men are usually really good at it.

My hubby must be a hands on dad changes nappies feeds baby etc its his baby as well not just mine. If I need to step out I should have confidence the child/children will be ok with their father.

No male or female should take advantage of their partner period.

The woman is a FRAUD for Gods sake.

She lied about not having a roof over her head
She lied about not having any support back home
She lied about coming to the UK just as a visitor
Shes lied about her reasons of needing to stay in the UK
She lied about her husband fleeing once he knew she was carrying quinns yet his name and signature is on the birth certificate and up until recently he had a picture of all 5 babies sprawled on the bed and not a hospital bed either on his facebook page! looked like a king size bed to me.

Lie after lie after lie.  You can all put your casey anthony shades and earplugs in but that woman is a liar.

And its a great shame people wont face the facts and speak the truth oh well speaks volumes on a lot of peoples characters

coogar:
how is she a fraud? i guess you dunno what the meaning of that word is. . . . .she travelled to england on a nigerian passport - is that fraudulent?
she was pregnant before she left nigeria - is that a fraudulent act? her water broke prematurely at 32 weeks - is that fraudulent? she delivered her kids 2 months ago in hackney hospital - is that fraudulent? where is the fraud?

she's not some poor person - i am guessing your employer produces her payslip for you to know she can cough out 50 million naira on child delivery alone. not even mike adenuga would drop that without feeling the pinch. truth is. . . .no average nigerian can cough out £200k in medical bills - in that regard, the woman is not rich enough to afford such. she is not a liar and neither is she reckless.
No sure who you are trying to convince here. But she's a fraud because she obtained a visitors visa with the sole aim of coming here on a permanent basis. She's a fraud because it costs a lot of money to obtain a visa and buy a ticket. This is probably not her first time in the UK it was all planned.

Who said it will cost 50million in nigeria or any other African country with good health care. You cannot compare pounds to naira. Are you telling me other people have not had multiple births in nigeria and it cost millionshuh

She clearly stated all her family are here who can help her raise her kids.

To me the level of emotion people are displaying is over the top. I suggest we all look at the facts
TravelRe: Who Will Foot The £200,000 Bill?! by LadyT(f): 5:49pm On Jul 05, 2011
I'm in shock people actually believe this woman is in the right.
There are no two ways about it. She is a fraud a liar and a reckless person. She's not some poor person she's well off I can't wait to laugh at her supporters when she's exposed.

Siena you are just being emotional because you would do anything to ensure your child had the best don't mistake your paternal instinct with this woman's greedy attitude.

My parents too came to the UK for better opportunities but they have paid their way and followed the rules. I have most respect for an illegal immigrant working illegally than this fraud of a woman.

VolvoS60:
Emotions are running very high on this thread. sad

Someone (a poster) mentioned the case of kuwaiti nationals in a similar situation. The big difference is that the Kuwaiti government stepped in and paid up. I think if we conduct a poll on this board (on whether the Nigerian government will stand up to deliver in the same way), we all know what the results are likely to be.

Whether we like it or not, UK taxpayers have a right to voice their concerns about how their taxes are spent. Their political system is far from perfect, but there is a measure of accountability which is absent in Nigeria. British nationals pay their taxes and expect to have a say in how those taxes are spent. And if they are not comfortable with the idea of their taxes being used to pay medical expenses of ''foreigners", those are their rights as British nationals. Those rights cannot be taken away from them sir.

And yes, some of us are (justifiably) very angry about british imperialism and how europe underdeveloped Africa but that cannot excuse the moral schizophrenia some of us here on this board are exhibiting. What is wrong is wrong. Some posters have tried to justify illegality by recounting the atrocities the british committed in Africa centuries ago but that mindset is flawed, deeply flawed. The battle to get back our stolen artefacts and treasures is a separate matter that can and should be fought on a different platform. Not by individual attempts to beat the system. Because in the end, cases like this lady's simply lead to much tougher immigration rules that make it harder for everyone else.

Having said that, the biggest question we should ask (as another poster did earlier) is why infant and maternal mortality rates are so high in Nigeria? Why?

Simple. They are high because we are ignorant cowards, all 150 million+ of us. angry angry

We have (or sat back and watched while a few of us, our kith and kin who live and walk among us) created a hell on earth and forced us all to live in it. There is no reason why Nigeria should be what it is. None whatsoever. But we are spineless and gutless, preferring to flee or murmur instead of fighting for what's right.

The Sahara desert is littered with the passports, bones and skulls of young and not so young Nigerians who preferred to take that risky journey rather than stay in Nigeria. We will never get it right until we as a people demand that someone explain why this and other forms of suicidal behaviour are the norm among so many Nigerians. Why should a country's brightest and most promising young people lose hope in the system to the point where they are ready to go anywhere but Nigeria?

Why?
Thank you

No country is perfect but lets call a spade a spade.  Can we stick to the facts. Shes not a widow and shes NOT poor shes a well off Nigerian.
The lady knew exactly what she was doing.  If she was really only concerned about delivering safely why now are we hearing oh all my family and friends are over here blah blah blah. She is a fraud simple. If she stays how is Gods name will she be able to work with 5 babies? So the state will have to support her. People have a right to be upset about that.

Nigerian mother who cost NHS £200,000 is working illegally as an Avon LadyBimbo Ayelabola came into the UK on visitor's visa after discovering she was pregnant
She spent two weeks in hospital at taxpayers' expense after having quintuplets

The Nigerian who cost the NHS up to £200,000 after travelling to Britain while expecting quintuplets has been illegally working as an Avon lady.
Bimbo Ayelabola, 33, applied for a six-month visitor's visa soon after discovering she was pregnant, travelling to the UK without her husband to visit her three sisters.
She gave birth to two boys and three girls in April after a complex Caesarean section and remained in hospital for almost two weeks, paid for by the taxpayer.
Cash in hand: Bimbo Ayelabola, who came to Britain from Nigeria when pregnant with quintuplets, is working illegally as an Avon Lady
Within days of returning to her sister's flat in Poplar, East London, she began distributing catalogues and selling Avon’s make-up, perfume and beauty products.

RICHARD LITTLEJOHN: Happy families? No, another miscarriage of justice

But under the terms of her visa, which expired last month, she is unable to work in the UK or claim benefits.
She is now fighting to remain in the country. Yesterday a neighbour said: 'She has dropped at least two Avon booklets through the door in the past couple of months. I'm sure she has visited other homes in surrounding streets.
Helping hand: A friend of the Nigerian mother carries one of her babies to a waiting car
‘She’s definitely working for Avon because I bought something from her last month. She never let on that she was not allowed to work in this country.’
A Home Office spokesman said last night: ‘The UK Border Agency will thoroughly investigate any reports of anyone breaking the terms of their visa.’

Mrs Ayelabola is registered as a full-time mother on her children’s birth certificates.
She says she was unaware she would have as many as five babies when she arrived in Britain late last year.
The multiple births are likely to be a result of double doses of fertility drug Clomid, which she took for eight times longer than recommended after buying the pills over the counter in her home city of Lagos.

The total bill to the taxpayer for Mrs Ayelabola’s care is expected to reach £200,000.
Foreign nationals should be charged for the full cost of their treatment, but Mrs Ayelabola is not able to pay. The five babies, who were born prematurely at 32 weeks, were treated in a special-care unit, where the cost of a week’s stay for the family would be £35,000 alone.
The case has once again raised the issue of ‘health tourism’, in which foreigners come to take advantage of Britain’s state-funded health system. It is estimated to cost the NHS £200million a year.
Treated: Bimbo Ayelabola, who had quintuplets in Britain, was treated at Homerton Hospital in Hackney, east London
Mrs Ayelabola was treated at Homerton hospital in Hackney, east London.
Andrew Boff, Hackney resident and Conservative member of the Greater London Authority, said: ‘You can’t refuse to give someone treatment once they’re in the country, as we’re talking about human life.
‘But what this case does point out is that this country does not have a good immigration policy.

'It does need to be stricter in its application. Our health system should be for those who live in the UK.

'It can’t be open to anybody who comes in speculatively. That’s because UK people fund it.
‘It should be a requirement for anyone coming in that they have an adequate travel insurance policy, to prevent such occurrences in future.’
Mrs Ayelabola has applied for an extension to her visa as she claims the children – two boys, Tayseel and Samir, and three girls, Aqeelah, Binish and Zara – are still too frail to travel.
She said in an interview: ‘I had already had miscarriages and couldn’t bear the stress another pregnancy would cause. I thought I would stand a much better chance of avoiding another miscarriage in a calmer place with friends and family.’
Her 37-year-old husband, Ohi Ilanbare, a civil engineer, remains in Nigeria.
The children do not have an automatic right to British citizenship, despite being born in the UK.

To qualify, they would need at least one parent who is British, or who has indefinite leave to remain in the country.
An Avon spokesman last night said the firm would investigate how Mrs Ayelabola became a saleswoman for the brand. Mrs Ayelabola was unavailable to comment.

Whats the most sick about this is the mother still refuses to tell the truth.

All these stank useless mothers who go out and party all the time bed hopping like rabbits on heat forgetting they have a responsiblity these children didnt ask to be born!

Even if shes doesnt get death 50 years no parole in solitary confinment will fix her.
