Hi, everyone.
I have a pertinent question.

What are the pros and cons of a direct payment to one's account versus having a paypal or a payoneer account?

I'm asking because I'm trying to make an informed decision before setting up a payment plan on upwork.

Family / Re: Wife Surprises Husband After Landlord Stormed Their Home Over House Rent. Photos by Ladytrap: 9:19pm On Jun 20, 2018
dainformant:
A Nigerian man was given a big surprise by his wife after their landlord came to their house to collect the rent. According to the man identified as Goodluck, his landlord came to their house angrily to collect his rent which expired a month ago as he (the landlord) shouted to the hearing of his neighbors thereby humiliating him in the process.

His lovely wife who felt embarrassed decided to cover her husband's shame and save his face by coming to his aid when he needed it most.

She gave him the sum of N147, 400 which she had been saving in a box - to pay the house rent.

The excited man took to Facebook to share the good news as he advised men to try and marry a good wife.

Below is what he shared on Facebook;

"My wife surprised me today. My landlord came to my flat today and embarrassed me by shouting to the hearing of the whole neighbours that my rent expired last month and he needed repayment as for me hush my pocket is not telling me good story.

But surprisingly I mean to my greatest surprise my sweet wife felt humiliated and dragged me inside her room and brought something out which she asked me to break Open I obeyed and used a hammer to brake it open my people do you know what I saw it was money and I counted it diligently to be #147,400. 00.

men I know fit shout I called the landlord immediately to send me his account no and tomorrow asap on my way to the bank. Advice please marry a good wife like mine you be happy always and please if you see my angel thank her for me she saved my face..."

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Nigerian Bosses VS Foreign Bosses by Ladytrap: 10:31am On May 20, 2018
pcjuvy:
In my entire career, it's only Nigerian bosses that would make it seem okay for you to work on weekends. All foreign bosses respect weekends and after work hours. In my experience, its only Nigerian bosses and HR that would try to price your wages down like slave drivers. Foreign HR and Bosses are more concerned with paying you a fair wage to ensure you are well motivated

In my experience, foreign employers are less concerned with the appearance of work and more concerned with the content of work, so they allow flexibility in work hours and locations. Nigerian employers stick with the traditional 8-5, and demand physical presence. In my experience, foreign bosses aren't concerned about titles and ranks and try to create structures that are flat where everyone can collaborate with anyone. Nigerian bosses are very hierarchical and you're most talk to your boss, who talks to his boss and he to his boss.

In my experience, foreign employers encourage open dialogs. Every decision can be questioned, challenged and reevaluated. Nigerian employers are military styled. Questioning an instruction is considered insubordination and queries are issued like meal tickets. In my experience, foreign employers try to ensure profit sharing affects all employees. Everyone rises together or falls together. Nigerian employers like to keep the juice at the very top and it won't trickle down. Even your annual bonus is questionable.

I promised myself never to work with non-multinationals again. We are incredibly close minded and shallow in our work styles.I sometimes think our fellow country men are our own worst enemy in the workplace.
Na wa. You had to copy and paste all that someone had written on twitter thinking it will move your ministry on here. It won't. People's tweets are their intellectual properties. This is so wrong. Don't be stupid and shallow. You could have credited the person that tweeted about it.

Phones / Re: Do You Know These 4 Secret Whatsapp Features? by Ladytrap: 1:27pm On Mar 31, 2018
Gmekx:
You may be actively using whatsapp for some years now but I bet you that there are still features you never new existed on the chatting platform.

At the moment, WhatsApp has over 1 Billion active users worldwide, hence making it worlds most popular Instant Messaging app.

It's available both on Android, iOS and Blackberry but unfortunately, BB users were stripped off of the app recently.

Maybe you have read similar articles previously but I'm sure you may not have come across some of these hidden features I will unveil here for you.

As a matter of fact, I have 4 hidden whatsapp features that will wow you.

Relax and read them below.

4 SECRET WHATSAPP FEATURES FOR EVERYONE

1. How To Know Who Has Read Your Message In A Group Chat:

Of course you may be familiar with the trick on how to know who read you message in private but what about group chat?

This one is a tricky one. We often get frustrated when we pass a message in a group and no one responds. But with this feature, you can tell who and who has read your group message.

This is how it is done, Press and hold the message you have sent and tap the‘i’ button on the top on Android (‘info’ on an iPhone).

The app will then show you all the people from the group who have read that particular message and the time they read it.

2. Send Gifs In A Jiffy

Graphic Interchange Format (GIF) is a feature that is fast becoming popular.

Some people now prefer the use of GIFs instead of emoji.

On Telegram forinstance, GIFs are more popularly used maybe because there are many options available in the platform for users to select from. Also whatsapp now has its own pre-installed GIFs.

You don’t have to search the internet for appropriate GIFs. WhatsApp has its own collection of GIFs.

To use a GIF on whatsapp, simply hit the ‘+’ sign, go to Photo & Video Library. See that magnifying glass icon next to GIF?, tap that and you’ll find a collection powered by Tenor (or the smiley face on Android and click on GIF down).

Don’t see what you need? Just tap the search bar to look for the GIF that perfectly sums up your feelings.

3. Find Out Who You Chat With The Most

With this trick, you will know the people you spend more time chatting with. Just in case your boyfriend accuses you of chatting with other people more than you do with him.

All you need to do is simple. Go to Settings > Data and Storage Usage > Storage Usage and you’ll see a list of your most important groups and contacts ranked according to the data you’ve expended on them.

4. Find Out The Real Location Of Someone

Last year, WhatsApp introduced location sharing features which allows you or your friend to easily share your current location via chat with the help of the inbuilt map on whatsapp.

To avoid getting duped again, insist that the contact shares their current location with you by tapping on the arrow icon next to the text box and then Share Location.

There’s also a way of preventing them from manually entering their location. The way the location appears is a clue.If it’s a real GPS-based location, the location share will appear as a dropped pin, but if it’s a location they entered, its address will appear beside the dropped pin.

These are some of the hidden features on whatsapp.

Thank you
About Number three. The person ranked as number one is just based on the data expended due to images sent or received from that person that you save. Again, if you delete images from someone you consistently chat with, the person won't be at the top of the data expended list. At least, that's what I saw when I checked mine.

With pleasure, I wish to express my gratitude to Yakson123 for discouraging people from attending the job interview. If everybody had been there, would I have gotten this scarce opportunity on a platter of gold.
To some of you who had erroneous thought about the company, be informed that it is not a GNLD company though some of the items they sell may make people liken them to be the same. Logistics is part of the services renders.
There are different departments there such as HR, Communication, Customer Relation[marketer] and Delivery.
Like I said, it is multinational, legit with international standard.
The job is fun.
Here is the best feedback I can share because of confidentiality rule.
Lol!!! Such a joke. How's your job with Entefrica now? Multinational with international standard, my foot. Very shitty, crappy and disorganized place.

The keyword in your post is that priceless benefit. Lemme bore you with my story. I have been volunteering in an organization with a huge a finance and personnel workforce and guess what they are paying me just 10k for over a year and even sometimes they do default on that payment. I was overly frustrated with the pressure of getting my needs and pressure from family too but I keep saying to myself I gotta keep going as this job is just a place for me to furnish my skills to get something bigger. I was offered different marketing and teaching job with a much better pay that the 10k but I didn't quite. Guess who is resuming on with an International NGO on Monday bro? Yeah you guess right, that is me . I am really grateful to God.

Please ignore any typo above, I am on the move.
