thanks for clearing the air jare, God bless u!!! ignorance is really a disease in this country!!!! so the doctors themselves could not diagnose anencephaly!!! Na Wa oooooooo berem: Anencephaly is a condition that prevents the normal development of the brain and the bones of the skull. This condition results when a structure called the neural tube fails to close during the first few weeks of embryonic development. The neural tube is a layer of cells that ultimately develops into the brain and spinal cord. Because anencephaly is caused by abnormalities of the neural tube, it is classified as a neural tube defect (NTD). If the neural tube fails to close properly, the developing brain and spinal cord are exposed to the amniotic fluid that surrounds the fetus. This exposure causes the nervous system tissue to break down (degenerate). As a result, people with anencephaly are missing large parts of the brain called the cerebrum and cerebellum. These brain regions are necessary for thinking, hearing, vision, emotion, and coordinating movement. The bones of the skull are also missing or incompletely formed. Almost all babies with anencephaly die before birth or within a few hours or days after birth.

texazzpete: What's with these Tecno treads that make some of you so antsy sef? I'm merely asking questions and you're flaring up like this... As for your 'can't afford any' crack, I think folks who know me on Nairaland know I can easily afford to buy any gadget in the market.
Now, my point is, the most expensive Tecno phone now is the Phantom, and it's sold for 35k. Still uses the Mediatek MTK6577 SoC from early 2012...and that chipset has since been replaced by the quad core MT6589 series which brings in an upgraded CPU and a much improved GPU (SGX 544 vs the way inferior SGX 531). Phones running the 6577 chipset are now way cheaper these days, in the $150 range. I'd expect Tecno to reflect this in their pricing and leave the 35k range for their quad core series.
Then again, the Phantom's build quality looks nice, so I could be wrong and that's where Tecno is having to increase the cost somewhat.
I came in here with no intention of an argument...we're having a conversation on phones here. Please don't misconstrue my words, or assume you and I have the same financial challenges. Thank you Boss. Don't take it personal abeg, let's talk!!! The phantom A is quite aesthetically appealing, I think it also runs a quad core 4.2 jellybean, not dual core.... It has 8.0MP camera and a front 2.0MP camera.... I can't remember the RAM, microprocessor speed and internal memory, but I know its on the high side!!! And I think the price has reduced now, about 30K or so.... |
Phones › Re: Tecno Phantom N9 (Tab) discussion thread by Lagusta(m): 10:16am On Jul 07, 2013 |
as for me, I see a 5.0 mp camera, while the tecno phantom F7 uses 8.0 mp camera..... that's a minus on the tablet..... |
Phones › Re: Tecno Phantom N9 (Tab) discussion thread by Lagusta(m): 10:14am On Jul 07, 2013 |
texazzpete: Ok, quick question.
What exactly is the wisdom in buying this tablet for 36k when for an extra 5 - 10k you'll get a Nexus 7, running a much faster chipset, better screen and guaranteed updates from Google to the latest Android versions? everybody wants to find a way of tackling tecno shaa!!!! remember, if Nokia had endorsed android, even Samsung will be begging to be bought, not to talk of HTC and Sony!!! so please give these guys a break!!! |
