Syenite: I give you 3 scenerios here:Love this 10million times!!! |
Boluzie: Good afternoon 2 all medics in d house.pls i ave an issue battling my mind now,bt don't knw hw 2 go abt it.i'm currently studyin quantity surveyin as a course @ oau,bt really want 2 change to medicine cos dats wat i wanted 2 study initially.i'm plannin on writin dis year's utme,n ave narrowed down my choices 2 three schools excludin oau cos of dere slow academic calender.i ave in mind of pickin any of dis sch's LASU(nt mindin d fee),UNN n UNILORIN,bt am confused.had dat LASU has a good college of medicine n wil b nice in studyin medicine dere, also UNN too is a good sch 4 studyin med,bt don't knw if dey do discriminate cos i'm frm lagos state.Unilorin too is also anoda choice.pls guys i nid ur advice on wich sch 2 pick cos i'm really desperate of studyin med.tanx as u guys reply.Since you are from lagos, and you don't mind the fee, then boss go to LASU, the school is also good... I am from lagos state too: lagos island (epetedo) I luckily got admission into unilorin cos a professor of pediatrics here is also a lagosian (prof. Johnson aka papi jay!!!) Lasu is better to me |
Jacksparrow1: Hello everyone! Can someone using a walking aid/stick due to an health condition allowed to study medicine? Will she be even admitted/permitted by d medical school in d first place? Y'all know of anyone in d same shoe practising? She's a determined one hoping 2 get admitted thru DE. Let me av ur opinions pls. This reminds me of one of our own professors... Prof I.A Lawal... He occasionally uses a walking stick cos he has a condition, but he is the ONLY lecturer of plastic surgery we have... So, what's stopping a guy/lady from studying ANY course, because he/she has a bad leg ![]() Medicine needs brains, even surgeons work with their hands, not legs.... |
Now let's get this straight.... If you are good at calculating and constructing stuff, then engineering calls you, because you need lots of mathematics (especially further maths) and physics, (maybe chemistry too, if u wanna do chemical engineering) But if you can quickly observe things and make quick decisions, and act fast, then medicine and surgery is good for you, with a background knowledge of physics, chemistry and biology... Now someone said medical students are extra-good or something, I terribly disagree, cos the real geniuses are those that calculate a lot, we are just good at observing things and make rational decisions about them, that's all.... Thanx!!!!! |
This doesn't happen only in UNILAG, it happens in ALL schools... Before the unilorin hostels were renovated, I always see a lot of "big girls" going to the bush to "attack"... ![]() So what's the big deal here, well maybe the smell tho... ![]() |
Prof, this is the first time I have to disagree with you... WE NIGERIANS are the largest exporter of cassava in the world, so the importation of garri to nigeria is only in a madman's dream..... |
To all medics preparing for one exam or the other, from 100-600L, I pray that the Almighty God crown all our efforts with success.... To cook food is not a problem, to make the food sweet is the REAL problem!!! May God add a lot of maggi to our stew full of reading and jacking, so that it will be palatable to our examiners and they'll pass us all..... Best of luck dudes!!! |
Yeah whatever... |
HAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! That one na die oooo!!!! |
Hehe, that was cool |

If not for garri, what will the poor masses eat ![]() |
adeaugustus: Am studying Human Anatomy, Not Medicine, so we make use of CGPA. Thanks for your advice...Oh, but that's still a good course jare, e no matta... |
adeaugustus: Evening everybody in the house, Hope i haven't miss a lot? It's been so stressful this week! We resumed on Monday (Damn!) after roughly 2month holiday, the time-table was a heck of task, i mean everything was mixed together (for the whole school), imagine after spending almost an hour writing it out, i compared it with the one written by another class mate, lo and behold it did not tally!!! Funniest thing now is that, our student adviser told us that the time table na bull shit, that our lecturers won't follow it, that they can schedule lecture at their own discretion (any day any time, including Sunday sef), it wasn't like that when i was in 100L. Tutorial don start too, come see as our senior day flaunt terms so as to intimidate us (God dey). So far i think i kind of like "Histology" (but don't take my words for it, it's barely a week into this new world), I have not been reading Biochemistry at all (Planning on starting tonight) but i bought chatterjea, but people are saying vesudavan is better, Abeg which one better pass? Cos i have the opportunity to change it within a week, that Keith Moore too big jare i no even know where to start reading..... I need to get embryology textbook too (sadler preferably)Eiyaaa, sorry boss ![]() Don't worry, the end always justifies the means... For biochemistry, any good text will do, but still concentrate on your notes, cos that's where the questions will be set from... And, do you guyz use CGPA there, here its progressive assessment (PA) we use, I.e a percentage score of each subject offered, you must make 50% in all subjects before you can be promoted to the next level, that's why there is no first class in medicine.... |
alutacontinua: Hi, Dr.Lagusta!!!Eiyaa, almighty pathology.... |
Hi everyone!!!! |
I am in my final year, and I am scared to the marrow, I think I'm gonna suffer a ruptured aneurysm from one of my meningeal arteries!!! ![]() |
Flashaldrin: Wetin dey happen here??Everybody haff go awaying (in jenifa's accent) ![]() |
Exam anxiety setting in!!! |
1st of all. . .
Introduction, na me be the guy wey dey give landlord eviction... #GBABE |
Yeah, you have to tell, but how ![]() I think you should call the guy, discuss some issues with him, and stylishly chip in the HIV part, ask him if he has done the test (in fact, make it feel as if you haven't done yours) and urge him to do his, and his girlfriend's own too, that way, the beans will surely be spilt!!! Hope I said it well.... |
Hello phone gurus... I upgraded my blackberry bold3 9650 online, but I noticed that after the upgrade, most of the apps that came with the phone were wiped off, e.g docs2go, brickbreaker, blackberry maps, etc... When I took it to a software to re-upgrade manually, it still didn't include those apps... Please what do I do Is there any link where I could download docs2go and the map app... |
femi4: For cambridge adv learner dic:Boss, you are da bomb.... Thanx a quadrillion!!! But, what about the dorland's medical... Plsss |
Doctors always advice mothers NOT to give water to babies less than 6months because apart from the fact that the water contains germs, water is devoid of the necessary nutrients a growing neonate needs.... If you boil water, but you don't sterilize the baby cups and spoons, the boiled water becomes contaminated again... Even after washing hands, touching this or that will still cause some form of contamination... Bosom milk is ideal for babies because it is direct from the mother to the child, so no risk of contamination!!! Moreover, 90% of bosom milk is water, and the first sips a baby gets is kinda watery to quench thirsts... |
What of 04, nokia c3 |
