Are medical exams always harder than they seem to be? Is there room 4 OVER SYLLABUS or it's based on what u were simply taught?
In medical school, THERE IS NO ROOM FOR OVER SYLLABUS!!!!

Let me tell u the truth, you cannot cover up the whole syllabus!!! Even if u think u can, u cram all the chaurasia, gannong, etc the silly examiner can just set one silly question that can make u sweat under the a/c!!!

My advice is to read all u can and leave the rest to God... #shikena

ebsuguy: hmmmm...erb palsy is injury to the upper trunk of the brachial plexus...leading to the arm being abducted and medially rotated then the forearm being adducted and laterally rotated...it is also called policeman tips syndrome.....for starlings law of heart...i think is about the stepcase mechanism...that impulse keeps increasing twice as b4...av forgotten it...can u help @lagusta?
Ok, let me help u...

Starling's law states that the force of contraction of the heart is proportional to the initial length of the muscle fibre.... Therefore, anything that will increase the length, eg increased blood volume, will lead to an increased force of contraction, leading to increased cardiac output... If there is a high peripheral resistance, you know where that will lead to......

BTW, nobody has answered my clinical questions...

Hey docs, how u'all doinghuh

The art and practice of medicine is a noble one, dating back since the time of man.... In fact, saving a life is like saving the whole of mankind!!!

Please, nobody should read medicine and surgery because of the money, prestige of being called "Dr. Something" or because u think u can hook a lot of babes with it. Go for it because u want to save a life, or u are doing it for God.

Don't mind the fact that u read another course before coming back for medicine.... In fact, there are a lot of pple overseas who had their Ph.D in the arts, but still came back for medicine, why? Because of the passion, the zeal, and the dexterity of the noble profession!!!

This is for those that read economics, engineering, etc.... Do not lose hope, you are highly welcome into the profession!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

Jokes Etc › Re: Hannas World Of Jokes by Lagusta(m): 3:43pm On Sep 29, 2012
hannas2010: Three Nigerians–one Hausa, one Igbo and one Yoruba -sat somewhere in Saudi Arabia, sharing a smuggled barrel of beerand feeling rather safe. But, all of a sudden, some policemen stormed their hideout and arrested them. But, since it was a national holiday, the Sheikh decided to commute the capital sentence. He ordered that they should be released after each hadreceived 20 lashes of horsewhip on his bare backside.
As the convicts prepared for their punishment, the Sheikh made an announcement: “It is my dear, first wife’s birthday today and sheasked me to allow each of you one wish before your whipping. You can wish anything, except wishing not to be walloped!”
The Hausa man thought for a second and then mouthed his wish:
“Please tie a pillow to my back before whipping me.”
His wish was carried out. But the pillow lasted for ten lashes, whichmeant that the second half of the thrashing impacted on his torso, sending him shivering in anguish.
The Igbo man smiled. If a pillow lasted ten lashes, why, he could get away without any skin pain.“Please tie two pillows to myback before flogging me.”This was done and the happy fellow with the Igbo man sense only heard the 20 lashes delivered but felt no pain at all.
The Yoruba man took in everything that had transpired. Because he was grinning from earto ear, the Sheikh and his lieutenants thought he was goingto ask for, perhaps, the impenetrable shield of 30 pillows. But before he could make his wish, the Sheikh remembered.
He remembered that the man shared the same ethnicity with the Nigerian one-time popular President. “Hold your wish a second”, the Sheik said. “Since you share the same ethnicity withBaba, the greatest president to come, not just out of Nigeria but also out of Africa and the entire Black world, you are permitted to have two wishes!”
Upon hearing this, the Yoruba man lifted both his hands in celebration, just like a professional pugilist that had finally floored a most stubborn opponent. When his hands finally came down he spoke. “Before I make my wishes, I must first thank very seriously your most royal and merciful highness”, said the Yoruba man.
“May Allah bless you ten times every day and a million times on each Friday.
“Now, to come to what we are talking about, which are my wishes. The first one is this: I wishto receive 100 lashes with the strongest, toughest whips available.”“If you so desire,” the Sheikh replied with a puzzled look on his face. “And your secondwish?” asked the Sheikh.
“Please tie the Igbo man to my back.”
This is the only joke that made me laugh!!!
