Yisanasss: @lagusta,since d time i was in sec skul my dream is 2 study medics @ unilorin.Bt i've been offered admission 2 study biochemistry @ unilorin.I'm thinking may be it's possible 2 write d coming jamb exam while studying bch @ unilorin.I thought it's a waste of time getting admission tru Direct entry.Pls is it possible to write d jamb choosing unilorin or other unis?Hmmmm, now this is ultimately your decision... The only thing I will say is for you to go ahead with the biochemistry. You may write the jamb next year, but next year only!!! If u are picked next year, good for u, but if not.. Don't lose hope, still continue and aim for a first class or a 2.1, that's the only way u can get a DE into unilorin college of medicine... Like I said, the decision is yours!!! |
rill: Hello fello medics! I need serious advice from u guys. Earlier on, i posted sumtin abt d accreditation ish ma sch is having. The accreditation team came around few weeks ago to inspect the school facilities and we r very optimistic that very soon we wud b re accredited and finally write all pending MB exams. Now the thing is i am sick and tired of schooling here. Want a total change of environment, like travelling outta d country. Like seriously ma mind no dey here again, I hardly even read again cos d zeal is gone. I want a fresh start. Nw ma question is, wud u guys advice me to go ahead wt ma "travelling out" plans and start all over again, forgetting d fact that am in 300L, waiting for ma 1st MB. Am 22 yrs of age, male. Got admitted 2008 which means have spent 4 years here. Considering all dis, what do u guys think?I know how u feel, and I was once in your shoes.... When I got to 500L, I also had this melancholic attitude towards reading, and I even wanted to travel out too... But I believe that anything worth doing, is worth doing very well... To me, I think its better you endure the rigor and finish there, once you get your cert, you won't know how you will travel out... Moreover, schooling abroad is very expensive... I even heard that the cheapest in ukraine is about $5000, which is a lot of money to me, and I am sure your school fees combined won't be up to half of that... But, if u still want to travel, no problem. There are some good medical colleges abroad, but really, is it worth it? ?? ?? |

Idyllic: @Lagusta, please do not tell white lies against nurses, I know that the federal health workers are presently on strike demanding for better pay, but I don't believe that they are asking to be PAID THE SAME AMOUNT AS DOCTORS. Please make your post unambiguous by clarifying this, are you saying that Nurses, Pharmacist, Biomedical scientist...e.t.c are asking to be paid the same amount as Doctors? Please explain what their demands are in details. Thanks in advance.Bros, I am not tellin white lies, three nurses all told me that their CNOs want to be paid equal to house officers.... And I am talking about nurses, not the others,,,, |

Dr young: @ lagusta, hahahahahahahaha. Somebody is really boiling cos of his clinicals. Calm down old boy, we have to put up with the damnn shiit. We strike, they strike; power tussle. Who win; both. But often in our favour . Who lose;- our common goal, the patient. My doctor, if u see what they do to us, as if they even know half of what we know..... But what u said abt strike is true oooo.... Na the patients go lose faa!!! |
jayone15: @LAGUSTA, What rubbish!! they want to b paid lyk house officers? those nurses av guts...do dey want to compare 7yrs wif 4yrs? anyway..i don't blame dem..u've said it all!!!No vex jare, that's how they all are |
Kadata: Medics and the hierarchy ish. I See it never endsBros, if u want to be a doctor, you have to bow to your elders in the line.... A med student must bow to a house officer, a house officer to a registrar, a registrar to a senior registrar, and a senior registrar to a consultant! It is even stated in the hippocratic oath.... |
Dr young: We diagnose and treat patient THAT IS CERTAIN, it is our duty and right. Maintaining a good interpersonal relationship between my co-workers and myself for efficient management of our common goal which is healthy patient is my ambition. We all have a role to play and i have to appreciate others who make an impact on the team. Cos it is a team which i am the HEAD.Of course, we maintain interpersonal relationship with our co-workers, THEY DON'T!!! They are so saucy, rude, annoying, and so dull... If an emergency happens, they can't do s.h!.t!! And to cap it all, all of them, I mean it, ALL OF THEM are flirts, adulterers, fornicators, infact...... |
jayone15: hmmm......interesting!!!!You see, things don't work out the way it supposed to be..... In my area too, there is a nurse that also owns a private hospital, also has a theatre, that's because he has trained under a doctor in a private hospital, acquired a lot of skills, and had enough money to establish on his own... But, can that ever work even in south africa, talkless of USA, canada, etc... Where there is no law, we do what we like. In fact, this power tussle is what is affecting us in our school now. We can't write our clinicals today cos nurses are on strike... WHY? BECAUSE THEY WANT TO BE PAID LIKE HOUSE OFFICERS!!!! |
Dr young: ^^ job hunting level, just finish my youth service. Then you supposed to understand better... In the lab for example, the head is still the doctor that specialized in hematology, chemical pathology, microbiology, etc.... If any test enters the lab, the lab scientist conducts it and sends the result to the doctor in charge, he checks for mistakes, errors, etc, when confirmed, he gives his diagnosis and sends to the clinic, the clinician sees the result and gives his clinical diagnosis, prescribes drugs and the nurses administer the drugs... In essence, ONLY DOCTORS HAVE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY TO DIAGNOSE AND TREAT DISEASE, the nurses just act on the prescription of the drug treatment... |
Leave her alone, she's mine!!! Liver alone, cheese mine!!! Now that's what I call reverse psychology.... Nice one!!! |
You see, this is for all ladies!!!!! This is what happens when u do stupid things like this, can u imagine now!!!! Nice one jare.... CARRY GOOOOO!!!!! |
