What is really wrong with IPOB ?Is't by force for Minority tribe to join them in Biafra .This is the reason that Biafra will never work. Limit Biafra map to only Igbos in South East and South South they will never listen. How can referendum will be conducted on the tribes that have not request for referendum? Please people should stop insulting Ndigbo for IPOB Foolishness rather they should face IPOB.

The Ohanaeze Youth Council, OYC, Monday, declared the founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazurike, persona-non-grata.

This came with an order that Uwazurike should immediately vacate Igbo land or risk being stripped naked and flogged by the youths.

DAILY POST recalls that Uwazurike had over the weekend slammed his Igbo brethren, describing them as foolish and unwise.

Reacting to the assertion, the OYC, through a statement made available to its national president, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro said it received with deep shock “the misguided and ridiculous statement credited to the leader of Biafra Independent Movement, and former MASSOB leader, Chief Ralph Uwazurike.”

It said contrary to Uwazurike’s statement, Ndigbo were the most enterprising tribe in the world.

The OYC said it was a sacrilege and abomination that “a so-called freedom fighter who rose to the height of leading Igbo Nation, is now a saboteur fighting his root openly without shame; it’s a signal that his end as a freedom is near.”

The OYC added in the statement that “as part of our efforts to cleanse this mess from Chief Ralph Uwazurike, we have declared him persona-non-grata in igbo land.

“He should vacate immediately from Owerri, to perhaps to Kano where his paymasters are residing. Failure to do, he will have himself to blame.

“Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth council worldwide will strip Chief Ralph Uwazurike naked anywhere we catch him if fails to vacate immediately from igbo land until the gods are appeased.

“This will serve as example to other shameless self-serving Igbo elders, who are trying to mortgage Igbo Land to their Fulani paymasters ahead of 2019 elections.”

“OYC will henceforth will not tolerate any rascality by any elder in the South-East.

“It was the same Uwazurike that deceived Ndigbo against participating in the last population census, that has today made us minorities in the Nigeria project.

“We call on Ndigbo to ignore the ridiculous statement credited to Ralph Uwazurike, and urge anybody, especially the youths who sees Ralph Uwazurike to strip him naked and give him 36 strokes of cane as a reward for over 2000 youths that died during his reign as MASSOB leader before his expulsion.”

The Senator representing Southern Kaduna senatorial zone, Danjuma La’ah, has emphasized that Southern Kaduna does not welcome any Cattle Colony in whatever guise.

A press statement he personally issued on the proposed cattle colonies in the country, Senator La’ah observed that, “Kaduna South Senatorial Zone, and by extension, the entire Southern Kaduna, rejects any attempt to seize more of its lands for the exclusive settlement of herdsmen and their cattle using state power.

“Already, there is an existing Cattle Grazing Reserve in Laduga from lands taking away from indigenes of Zangon Kataf and Kachia Local Government Areas dating back decades ago.

“That massive land officially gazetted at 32,000 hectare, (32,000 football fields), but which the present Kaduna State government has expanded to 74,000 hectares was taken from my constituents without compensation till date, as records have it.

“It therefore, means that Southern Kaduna has already given much, much more over the needed 5000 hectares by 15 times or at least 6 times the needed space for a Grazing Colony – should the size of Laduga Grazing Reserve be put at 72,000 or at 32,000 hectares.

“The population of Southern Kaduna is fast increasing with equal demands new farmlands, animal rearing and other land uses for now and in the future.

“Ask us for lands to site Universities, government institutions etc. We are willing to give out our lands in partnership with industrialists, mechanised farming, estate developments and all positive social and economic endeavours that are of mutual benefits to everyone.

“We have co-habited for very long with Fulani herdsmen without the kind of strange and evil relation that their presence has suddenly turned into in many communities of Southern Kaduna. Herdsmen, their cattle and our people have fared even better in the past when we peacefully lived together in affected communities.

“It is still possible to normalise that relationships if government is sincere and serious about it, because we believe that majority of our local herdsmen are law abiding and crave for peace and development.

“I am sure that had our parents not been living in peace and with the Fulani in their time, a lot of resistance would have been put against the Laduga Grazing Reserve becoming a reality even at that time that they had no political power, were not so literate and exposed to forecast the doom that their future generations would later encounter by the creation of that Grazing Reserve.

“It would now look as if the terror unleashed on Southern Kaduna and the Middle Belt is to cower them into submitting their prime lands for new colonies of herdsmen.

“No land in Southern Kaduna is free again for the exclusive economic benefit of a group of people who have paid us for humanely accommodating them with mass murder and destruction in scores of our settlements since 2011.

“Herdsmen are rich and can afford to negotiate and buy lands from willing farmers to ranch their animals as is the practice in modern times, since pastoralism is regarded as backward and prone to conflicts.

“While, I still very much would encourage cohabiting in a peaceful and free atmosphere with every ethnic group residing in Southern Kaduna, I wish to advise both Kaduna State and the Federal Government not sow permanent seeds of problems that will far outlived their temporary stay in office – such as creating a new permanent abode for herders under the tense and suspicious condition that farmers have for herdsmen today.

“The solution to the strange violence developed by armed herdsmen against farming communities is not confiscation of farmers’ lands and settling those who are marauding them.

“The solution is to bring to justice those carrying out these heinous crimes and provide security to the defenceless – after all some of them have been identified and paid by Kaduna State government. When this is done, sincere dialogue to ending the terror may start between all stakeholders in the crisis.”

The people of Southern Kaduna have rejected the idea of establishing a cattle colony in any part of the area.

“Let me use this medium to inform the Federal and the Kaduna state governments that my constituent and the entire people of Southern Kaduna have rejected the idea of establishing cattle colony in our area,” member representing Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, Sunday Marshall Katung said on Monday.

Katung, in a personal statement said that the area had rejected any attempt to establish a cattle colony in Southern Kaduna.

He said that the people of his constituency and the entire Southern Kaduna people had since rejected any plot by the state government to donate any of its ancestral land to an individual or group to undertake a private business.

“We are of the firm belief that cattle rearing is a private business, just like poultry, fishery and piggery business.

“Having consulted with my constituents, whom I represent, we are of the opinion that confiscating land for cattle colony is not in tandem with the Land Use Act which posits that government can only take over land for the overriding public interest.

“We admonish in strong terms that our soil, land, water and air should not be used for cattle colonies.

“Cattle rearers should be encouraged to acquire land for their business and not the government using force to collect our ancestral land to give the nomads.

“It has been widely reported that Kaduna state is amongst the 16 states that have embraced cattle colonies.

“While we have no objection with the decision of the Governor, we hasten to state that this business is not the choosing of our people nor in their best interest arising from the frequent clashes and attendant loss of lives of our people by the practitioners of this trade.

“Hence, it is our considered opinion that this business and the said colonies be restricted to the confines of the practitioners in the interest of equity and peaceful co-existence.

“While our people are not supportive of the establishment of cattle colonies which is an alien trade, their known vocation and trade is farming and piggery.

“As a representative of the people and on behalf of my constituents, we admonish in strong terms that our soil, land, water and air should not be used for cattle colonies.

“Our people have therefore vowed to resist the establishment of any cattle colony within our domain and will employ any peaceful means to resist it.

“However, if the executive governor in pursuit of his oath of office wants to equitably balance matters he may well establish a cattle colony in the northern part of the state and a piggery colony in the southern part knowing that our commonwealth and resources will necessarily be deployed towards such a venture.

“Anything to the contrary will be viewed as an attempt to provoke and destabilise the peace of Southern Kaduna,” he explained.
