That is wrong. Even if your tenant is stubborn or whatever, u still have to follow the due process & get your lawyer to serve them quit notice and take them to court. The court will be the one to eject them, not you. You can't take the law into your own hands.

If it's wrong why should a tenant rent expired he or she will refused to pay not only that the person will be changeling you in your own house i build with my hard earned money without government support if you go to court the will keep on Adjourning the cases to years why should i waste my money paying a lawyer and also waste my time . Bros, as a landlord in Lagos, I find myself dealing with this horrible people all the time. I have warmed my agent to keep my houses and shops empty rather than put an igbo there. I havw been in the business for 10 years and have rented to all the ethnic groups in Nigeria. The igbos are just terrible. ....terrible people both male and female. I should be on my way to retirement now but I have to stay in work just so I can afford to keep my properties empty if need be. Igbo tenants are bad news and you must be ready to break the law and rough handle them.

Security chiefs on Wednesday appeared before the Senate over the proliferation of dangerous firearms and spate of killings by terrorists and hoodlums in Nigeria.

Their appearances followed a resolution last week by the Senate as a result of the mass killings across the country.

Heads of security agencies seen at the chambers by DAILY POST, as at the time of filing this report are those of Defense and the Department of State Services, DSS.

Again, the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Ibrahim Idris, was represented at the Senate.

DAILY POST reports that immediately they were allowed into the chambers by the Clerk of the Senate, the Senate President, Bukola Saraki ordered for an executive session.

Is 100% true i have many friends living in Ghana but many Nigerians living in Ghana does not know about the law. If you have any relatives or friends living in Ghana the can go and verify from any lawyer in Ghana. My friend girlfriend did the same to him last 2 year but she reported him to police my friend told the police what they are saying is strange. they police told him that ignorance of law is not an excuse to case law.My friend contacted more than 4 lawyers the told him what the police are saying is true The later settle the matter with police without going to court.

A Kenyan High Court has ruled against a petition to change a clause in the Marriage Act wuich limits divorced couples to only claim ownership to assets they have acquired during the relationship, local media reports.

The Federation of Women Lawyers had wanted the section of the law to be declared unconstitutional, and couples to be entitled to 50-50 arrangement.

But presiding Judge Justice John Mativo is quoted as saying, "a person cannot walk into a marriage and then walk out with more than what they deserve."

Last week, the country's Supreme Court ruled it had no jurisdiction to hear a case between a divorced couple, where the woman wanted the ex-husband to pay her alimony.

The court said that the issue was "a family affair".

A chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in Anambra State and the immediate past National Publicity Secretary of the party, Barrister Ifeatu Obi-okoye, Thursday, stated that the party has resolved to shut its doors on the embattled Governor of Imo state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

This is even as he confirmed to DAILY POST about attempts by Governor Okorocha through his aides and friends to be re-admitted into the party.

Speaking to DAILY POST in a phone interview on Thursday, Obi-okoye said APGA had rejected the governor because of his nonchalant attitude, vowing that no amount of money can readmit him into the party.

The former APGA spokesman, further disclosed how some powerful business moguls from Anambra state bankrolled and assisted Okorocha to become governor in 2011 and reiterated the resolve of the party not to re-admit him.

According to him,”I can confirm to you that Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has made approaches to us, APGA, through several people.

” I’m not aware that he has come personally. Quite a number of his agents, friends, commissioners and closed relations have come on his behalf.

“To that extent, it is doubtful if any 3 million Naira has been offered to anybody. I must tell you, we have discussed Rochas. He will be the last person to be readmitted into our party.

“He will never return to the party. We gave him a ticket free of charge. There were no primaries before Rochas became our flag-bearer

“We were the people that raised logistics for him to run, which he even admitted in his inauguration. Rochas did not have much money in that election.

“But three principle people brought the money. Ifeany Ubah. He’s still living, Emeka offor and Chief Arthur Eze, all from Anambra state. I’m aware. I was close to the process”.

He added,”These were the people that brought the money for the election. Somebody like Ifeanyi Ubah brought three- hundred million Naira, Emeka offor brought one hundred and fifty million Naira”.

“And they brought it on the platform of APGA. Even if Okorocha comes with one trillion Naira, we will not touch it. We will never have anything do with him. He has been rejected by us. He has been rejected by the church. And you know APGA as a party has a strong foundation with the church.

“It is not possible for us to deal with a character that has been rejected by the church.

Recall that Governor Rochas Okorocha has been in loggerheads with some forces in the Imo state chapter of the All Progressives Congress over the outcome of ward and local government congresses held in the state recently.


The Governor had called on the National Working Committee of the APC to cancel the congresses, stressing that no congress was conducted in Imo state.
