IPOB didn’t burn down any mosque —Police

Meanwhile, IPOB has denied ever burning a mosque at Igboeze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, saying it was not a violent organisation. It further said it has no quarrel with Muslims in the country or elsewhere and as such had no reason to burn down their place of
worship, as alleged by the enemy. Confrming IPOB’s position, Enugu State Police Command, yesterday, warned residents against spreading rumour and blatant lies capable of jeopardizing existing peace in the state. The state’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ebere Amaraizu, gave the warning in a statement in Enugu. He, however, said that contrary to the claims, preliminary investigations showed that electrical power surge was responsible for the inferno at the mosque. He said: “The issue is that there was an incident and that incident involved inferno. “When we first heard about it, we moved in with a view to finding out what actually happened. The incident happened at the wee hours of Saturday, September 16 at about 2 a.m. “When we got there, following our preliminary investigations, we discovered that it could have been as a result of power surge. “However, the following morning, we started hearing all sorts of things that are blatant lies. “We need to put things in their proper perspective to avoid mixing up issues.”

Politics › Ohanaeze Kicks Against Frivolous Court Order On IPOB by Lajet(op): 5:25pm On Sep 19, 2017
ABUJA- THE apex Igbo organization, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo has warned courts in Nigeria not to allow themselves to be used against the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB.

In a statement Tuesday by the President General of Ohaneze, Chief Nnia Nwodo, the courts must not undermine the nation’s democratic process by granting frivolous orders IPOB. Nwodo who noted that the Ohaneze has credible intelligence that the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the federation, Abubakar Malami has secretly approached courts to obtain an order to designate IPOB as a terrorist group, said that such move was not only illegal, but aimed at furthering the harassment and intimidation of Igbo youths who have been pursuing their constitutionally guaranteed fundamental human rights. According to him, Ohanaeze has despatched letters to courts to be weary of such spurious moves as it is capable of aggravating the frayed nerves and disrupting the genuine moves Ohanaeze and critical Igbo leaders are making to bring peace and concord in the land.

This is their main plan
the declaration of an unarmed and nonviolent group as a terrorist organization is an after thought whose basic intention is to shield those committing genocide and ethnic cleansing against Ndigbo from prosecution at the International Criminal Court (ICC)

The whole world knows that IPOB are Non-Violent group Nigeria Army are jokers. my blame goes to Nnamdi kanu close friends and family the failed to advice Nnamdi Kanu he started very well but due to pride and Arrogant he started misbehaving talking anyhow even when he don't suppose to talk even boasting what he can't do . I warned Ipob members here to give him advice some of them called me Afonja. How can he allowed people to be bowing before him ? he would have make it clear on the media that nobody should bowed for him but he allowed that to continue. he formed BSS and his lawyers and advisers refused to advice him the implication of what he was doing.I watched some videos on Youtube where BSS are saluting him is it for what as Head of State or General. I thought as the released him from Prison he would have changed his method to stop insulting people since he have already used it to achieved his aim and his now popular what he is suppose to be doing is to tell people the reason we need Biafra. I still stand by him because of their is no justice in this Country Arewa Youth have not been arrested up till now .

Politics › Buhari Has Again Shown His Hatred For Igbos In NNPC Appointment – Ohaneze by Lajet(op): 10:15pm On Sep 03, 2017
The apex Igbo sociopolitical organisation, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has again accused President Muhammadu Buhari of being bias in his appointments.

Ohaneze cited the recent reorganisation at the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, saying that the Southeast has again been sidelined.

According to Ohanaeze, this is exactly why youths in the region are no longer comfortable being called Nigerians.

The Ohaneze’s position was part of a statement signed by its President General, Chief John Nwodo in Abuja on Sunday.

Nwodo said, “Ohaneze is appalled at the consistent and unrepentant disposition of disdain for the South-East by Buhari administration as copiously displayed in the recent reorganisation at the NNPC.

“Ohaneze had thought that after the President’s declaration in a broadcast recently that Nigeria unity had been settled and not negotiable, that he would take all necessary actions in his governance to achieve it, but the recent NNPC shake-up has not shown that the administration is walking its talk.

“Buhari administration, has shown in the new managers just announced tilting clearly in favour of the North, with the South-East totally ignored, as has always been the case since Buhari administration came to office.

“This brazen disregard, marginalization and non-compliance with the Federal character provisions in our constitution are the causes of lack of confidence which our youths have in our present governance structure.

“As long as President Buhari continues to live out his speech abroad that his government will favour those who voted 97 per cent for him against those who voted 5 % for him so long will the dissatisfaction and unrest in our polity subsist.”

Mrs. Onochie is also Igbo. I think the insults are coming largely from the IPOB on those of us who are Igbo and chose not to believe in the method adopted by Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB.
Point of correction Mrs Onochie is not an Igbo woman . her family migrated from Benin to Delta state

So the video we all saw on online when Arewa youth gave the Quit notice is fake is that what the Federal Government is trying to tell us. And if Arewa youth was quoted out of context so why are they withdrawing the Quit notice. This is the kind of one Nigeria some pigs are forcing us to be part of. We have first class and second class citizen in Nigeria
