Joyce Meyer an inspirational christian speaker and author revealed to her followers on Thursday that despite rumors suggesting her death all over the internet, she is hale and hearty and that there is no cause for alarm. In a Facebook video Meyer said the internet rumors led to many phone calls to her ministry with people asking about her health. "Hi everybody, it's Joyce. I just wanted to let you know that there's been a rumor going around on the web that I died last Thursday, and that my body is now in the morgue getting ready for an autopsy. As you can see, that is totally not true, it is some kind of silly rumor put out to waste people's time," she said. "We have been getting all kinds of calls, and although I am very glad that you are concerned about me .I wouldn't want to die and have you not concerned about me. I am alive and well, and I plan to be in Cleveland next weekend doing a conference," she added. Meyer did not reveal the source of the rumors, but search engines on the internet point to a website called Update24, that claimed Meyer passed on Thursday. Meyer's Twitter and Facebook pages were been updated with posts during the week on different subjects, the video addressing the rumor came up on Thursday. On Tuesday, she updated readers on the devastating effects of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti, and linked to Love A Child, a Christian ministry partner helping children in that country. Meyer has continued to make Twitter and Facebook posts throughout the week on different subjects, though only addressed the rumor in the video posted on Thursday. On Tuesday, she posted on the devastating effects of Hurricane Matthew in Haiti. source: http://www.voiceofaudacity.com/2016/10/im-not-dead-joyce-meyer.html cc:lalasticlala

Today the 1st of October, 2016 marks the 56th independence of Nigeria regarded as the Giant of Africa. All over the world various nations celebrate with this great nation on this day and the largest internet company in the world: Google wasn’t left out as their custom is, there is doodle on Google’s homepage to celebrate with Nigeria as this can be seen on all Google’s homepage all over the world. source:http://www.voiceofaudacity.com/2016/09/google-joins-nigerians-in-celebrating.html cc:lalasticlala

cc:lalasticlala..did you know this about google |
The world’s biggest internet company Google is celebrating its 18th birthday, with a Doodle on the homepage of the search engine. Here are 12 facts about google you should know 1. No one knows the birthday of Google Concerning today's Doodle – when is Google’s birthday? – can't be answered categorically. The company has six birthdays, at least, and recently just decided to start celebrating it on 27 September. 2. A T-Rex can be found on Google's Campus, and its message is a little terrifying There is a huge model of a T-Rex skeleton on the company's campus, which is supposed to remind employees not to let the company go extinct. 3. There is a T-Rex game hidden in Google Chrome And that's not the end to the T-Rex. if chrome does not have an internet connection, it would show a warning information that its not connected and just beside it is the picture of a dinosaur. And if you press the space bar while showing this, it will start a game in which you run along as the dinosaur, jumping over obstacles by pressing the space bar . The game doesn't end, because all of the obstacles are generated by the code.so it keeps on generating. 4. Google was actually not happy that its name has become popular The company is scared that the phrase, “just Google it” would water-down all the work it had done to make-the brand become what it is. 5. Google buys more oth companies beyond your imagination Estimates has put Google’s buying habits at more than one company per week. Most of these companies are small, but then some of them can be huge too. Most of the products simply get grafted into others. But some, like Android, continue to exist on their own within Google and that happens to be its most recognizable product. 6.The “I’m Feeling Lucky” button costs Google tens of millions of dollars per year The button might seem like just a bit of fun, and that’s what it mostly is. But it’s fun at a price for Google. By going straight through to the first result, Google actually skips past all the advertisements that it would usually show to people when they get up to the results page. That means it looses advertisement income. Google Instant means that as long as you have it's on and your connection is fast enough, results will start to appear as you begin to type. And Google is actually able to gather enough information about you from your browsing history on the internet that it can be quite sure you will come into contact with one of its ads, though it might not be immediate. 7. Google's first ever storage was made of Lego Google is one of the world’s biggest data storage companies with warehouse upon warehouse filled with servers to store people’s work, photos, emails and details. At the very beginning, when it was called as Backrub, its first storage was a load of hard drives housed in Lego. 8. Google gives very generous payouts to the husbands and wives of the workers who die on duty They would actually receive 50 per cent of their salary for the next decade. And their children also receive payout until they’re grown up. 9. One search on Google uses more computing power than it took to land the Apollo 11 astronauts on the moon Searching on Google is easy and just takes milliseconds. Both the computing and networking power needed to look through almost all of the known internet is far more huge than the relatively minor amount of code and computing that it took to land humans on the moon. 10. Google actually went down once for five minutes, and took wit it 40 percent of the web traffic On 19 August, 2013, Google stopped working for five minutes. And it took much of the internet with it. While other companies have looked to challenge Google’s dominance in search, it still represents a huge part of the web. Nowadays, such an outage would be unlikely to cause such a problem – other sites, mostly Facebook, have challenged Google’s dominance as the central linking place of the world. But Google still accounts for a huge part of everything anyone finds or looks at on the internet. 11. Google also hires goats The big google headquarter has lots of green.it has so much grass that it would need a lot of lawnmowers. But Google has devised a way around that. Instead of gas-powered machines, Google hires a lot of goats to clear the fields around its campus. They visit for about a week at a time, and about 200 goats come to munch up the Google grass. The goats do not use gas, also they don't pollute the air or make as much noise. And they are “a lot cuter to watch than lawn mowers”, Google’s employees noted. 12. There are also dogs at Google too Google’s office environment is very dog friendly. It claims that allowing people bring in their pets makes employees a lot happier. Cats are not so encouraged, because dogs get them upset. but they are not banned. 13. Google’s logo wasn’t in the middle until 2001 The simplicity of the Google homepage lies in the fact that it is one of the most viewed things in the history of the world. So even the tiniest changes are very significant . In its first few years the site was around, its logo was aligned a little to the left. That stopped in 2001, when Google finally moved it into the middle. source:http://www.voiceofaudacity.com/2016/09/google15-facts-you-did-not-know-about.html cc:lalasticlala

lalasticlala... do you have a diary ![]() |
To most of us especially in this part of the world ,journaling seems like something alien. To journal means to take personal record of occurences, happenings, experiences and reflections kept on regular basis. A journal is simply a kind of diary in which you keep a record of events or progress. Journaling is an ancient tradition as far back as 10th century japan. It is known that successful people throughout history have kept journals, presidents maintain them for posterity and reference. The famous 19th century playright oscar wilde said "i never travel without my diary, one should have something sensational to read on the train". Somethink it is reserved for high school lovers or the awkward folks, others see writing as a tool, basically as a means to an end and without value itself. Well i am here to dissolve to dissolve that doubt and skepticism. For those who dont see a reason to have a journal well i bring you ten reasons why you should keep a journal. Improve intelligence Studies show that writing as a part of language learning has a lot of positive correlation with intelligence. Journaling helps you explore language by increasing the natural urge to search for new words and increase your vocubulary. Also it found that one of the best single measures of overall intelligence is vocubulary. Get to know yourself better By writing regularly you will get to know what makes you feel happy and confident, evidence from science shows the art of writing accesses your left brain which is analytical and rational. The simple art of writing removes mental barricades and allow you to use your brain power to better understand yourself, others and the world around you. Eliminate stress Writing serves as a tool to healing emotionally, physically and psychologically. Writing about feelings of anger, sadness or pain helps to remove the pressure of the feelings. Dr james permebaker, author wrting to heal explains "when we translate an experience into language we essentially make the experience garsable". studies show that the emotional exercise from journaling reduces anxiety, stress and helps us sleep better. Accomplish goals Your dreams and ambitions are often included in your journal, but then how does journaling relate to us achieving goals. Actually writing signals importance to the brain. Bring out your creativity Its not a question of whether you are creative or not, it is how to let it out. There is something called "streams of conciousness" by julia cameron , she recommends three pages of this powerful tool in the morning it is basically to write without thinking. It helps bring out the tnoughts and ideas you never knew you had in you and loosens up your expressive muscles. Boosts your communication skill Writing is connected to speaking, it is actually a written form of communication, when you write you most times trace your written thoughts in sub vocalization. Infact writing about misunderstandings rather than brooding over them willhelp you see another's point of view Increases your self discipline It requires commitment to set time aside to write whether its morning or evening, its an act of discipline. This is a very good habit to form which has positive spill over effects in other areas of your life. Boosts memory and comprehension ability I personally since i adopted this lifestyle noticed this nerdy feeling and quick grasp of concepts, there is actually a relationship between the hand and brain, words represent written thoughts .Writing boosts your cognitive ability. Increases self Awareness Writing helps you perceive and manage your emotions and also that of others. Journaling gives you platform to express and process your emotions thereby increasing your self awareness, intuition and emotional intelligence. Help you keep tabs of your overall development Stuffs happen to us and they happen very fast, sometimes we are even oblivous of them, journaling helps to see how we have changed over time and where we got it right or wrong and how far we have come and the grey areas we need to work on. In conclusion journaling will be more effective when done daily for twenty minutes, start anywhere and don't bother about spellings and puctuation at least for now. Also pick a theme for the day, week or month. You will get to discover your diary is your that friend you can trust who won't kiss and tell. ![]() source:http://www.voiceofaudacity.com/2016/09/benefits-of-journaling-10-reasons-why.html cc:lalasticlala

The Chairman Academic Staff Union of Universities(ASUU), University of Abuja chapter, Dr Ben Ugheoke has denied ever issuing strike notice to the Federal Government. Ugheoke, in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja said that he did not offer any interview or made any statement on pending strike contrary to reports. “My attention has been drawn to a publication online and on social media captioned- ASUU: union to begin strike October 2nd. “The story is said to have been published originally by Press Team of University of Abuja. “The general public and ASUU National Executive Council (NEC) should be aware and note that no one came, either as journalist or any Press Team to have an interview with me. “I hereby denounce such a publication as the work of mischief makers, targeted at misleading the unsuspecting public about the trajectory of the struggles of ASUU. “That are aimed at revitalising the university and indeed the education system of Nigeria.” He advised members of the public and stakeholders to ignore the report as it did not come from him. lalasticlala...dont you think jack ma's life is an inspiration |
Jack Ma turned 52 on Sept. 10, 2016, and is currently worth $27.9 billion. ironically Ma once made $12 per month as an English teacher (though he was still happy). His achievements are mind blowing and practically unbelievable considering his meager and humble beginnings He failed more times (and more spectacularly) than most of us could can bear in a lifetime. These are seven ways Ma experienced soul-crushing,depressing failure, but managed to keep his optimism, just like his hero, Forrest Gump. 1. He Did not give up even after failing at school. Ma was not a good student. In fact, he almost didn’t get into middle school. "I failed a key primary school test twice I failed the middle school test thrice, I failed the college entrance exam twice…” . These are things most of us are lucky enough to have never said to our parents. But surprisingly, Ma’s not the only one. There’s a pattern with other great minds, including Albert Einstein, Winston Churchill, and Abraham Lincoln all struggled early in life with academics but went on to do great things. 2. Got 1 out of 120 points on the math portion of his college entrance exam. Failing is one thing. Getting a score of less than 1 percent on your college entrance exam is something else entirely. And it wasn’t because he didn’t have time to prepare. To this day, Ma struggles with mathematics, despite the fact that Alibaba is a tech company. Ma: “I am not good at math, have never studied management, and still cannot read accounting reports." But then, he never needed to be good at math to become a billionaire. Even more impressive is that he never heard of the word “computer” in his childhood. 3.He wasn’t deterred after being rejected from Harvard 10 times. It’s not so much that being rejected from Harvard 10 times is a surprise, it’s that he kept applying that many times in the first place. What this shows us is that Ma as an attitude of persistence.“The very important thing you should have is patience.”He also went to the aptly named Hangzhou Normal University, where he went on to become an English major. 4. He stayed optimistic after being turned down for 30 jobs. After graduating from college, he applied to 30 different jobs and was continously rejected by all of them. He even applied to be a police officer. But they didn’t even give him the benefit of doubt, rejecting him with three simple words: “You’re no good.” Fortunately, just like his favorite movie hero, Forrest Gump, Ma kept on running. "Today is cruel. Tomorrow is crueler. And the day after tomorrow is beautiful." 5. He was the only interviewee (out of 24) rejected by KFC. Out of 24 KFC applicants in his group, 23 were hired. Ma was the only one to be rejected. He attributes this largely to his lack of good looks and short stature. His wife, Zhang Ying (who married him before he became wealthy), doesn’t mind his appearance. “Ma Yun is not a handsome man, but I fell for him because he can do a lot of things handsome men cannot do.” 6. He couldn’t convince Silicon Valley to fund Alibaba. Even after starting Alibaba, he was victim of multiple failures. It wasn’t profitable the first three years. In the beginning, they expanded too fast and almost imploded when the dot-com bubble burst. At one point, Alibaba was just 18 months away from bankruptcy. As Ma humbly remark: “I call Alibaba ‘1,001 mistakes.’” 7. He told his 18 Alibaba partners that none of them could be execs. In one of the terrible financial and motivational decisions a CEO can make, Ma told the 18 partners (contributing capital for a total of $60,000 USD), that none could rise higher than the rank of manager. His plan was to actually hire outside managers. This, he remarks, as his biggest mistake ever. “The lessons I learned from the dark days at Alibaba are that you've got to make your team have value, innovation, and vision.” If at first you don’t succeed...keep trying Jack Ma is a classic grass to grace story, but even more impressive than his fabulous wealth is his immense level of persistence. He is proof that no series of failures (despite how totally depressing) can keep someone from achieving their dreams. As Ma says: “If you don’t give up, you still have a chance. Giving up is the greatest failure.” source:http://www.voiceofaudacity.com/2016/09/jack-ma-series-how-jack-ma-overcame-his.html cc:lalasticlala

cc: lalasticlala... today is 9/11 ooooo ![]() |
Today sunday marks the 15th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, that took the lives of 2,977 people in New York, the Pentagon and in a field in rural Pennsylvania. The attacks and the reaction to them have shaped U.S. policy for the last 15 years, creating a nation that is far more vigilant and fearful about terrorism. Yet for all of the talk about 9/11, many elements of the attacks and the actions leading up to them have left the memory of the public. Here are 10 things you may have forgotten about 9/11: 1. We Don't Know How The Hijackers Got Into The Cockpits some of the planes The in depth report of the commission created to investigate the attacks, which was published in 2004, said no one could ascertain how the hijackers were able to get access into the cockpits of the four commercial airliners they hijacked. A flight attendant on American Flight 11 "speculated that they had 'jammed their way' in," the 9/11 report said. "Perhaps the terrorists stabbed the flight attendants to get a cockpit key, to force one of them to open the cockpit door, or to lure the captain or first officer out of the cockpit." Once the hijackers had control of American 11, they guided it toward New York's World Trade Center towers, where it stuck the North Tower of the World Trade Center at 8:46 a.m. All 81 passengers, including the five hijackers, and nine crew members died in the crash, along with an unknown number of people in the tower. 2. Passengers And Crew Aboard The Planes Provided Critical Information Those aboard the four hijacked flights — American 11, United 175, American 77 and United 93 — called family and friends from their cellphones or used the aircrafts' radio communications to report the hijackings. That alerted authorities to the hijackings and enabled them to comprehend why they could not track the planes after their navigation systems were turned off. Passenger Barbara Olson, the wife of Solicitor General Ted Olson, called her husband to report "that the flight had been hijacked, and the hijackers had knives and box cutters." American 77 crashed into the Pentagon at 9:37 a.m., killing all 64 people on board, including the five hijackers. Information generated from the calls from flight attendants and passengers enabled investigators to put together the events on board each plane and how they we're hijacked. 3. Light Passenger Loads Made It Easier For The Hijackers To Maneuver American 11 , bound from Boston to Los Angeles, had 81 passengers on board out of a possible 158, according to the 9/11 report and aircraft data. United 175 , which also left Boston for Los Angeles, had 56 passengers out of a possible 168 . That was a "load factor" of 33%, considerably lower than the 49% average for that flight, a federal investigation showed. American 77, headed to Los Angeles from Washington, had 58 passengers out of a capacity of 176, the 9/11 report and other reports said. United 93 , bound from Newark, N.J., to San Francisco, had only 37 passengers for a 20% load factor, which was far below the normal 52%. 4. Missing Hijacker Made It Easier For United 93 Passengers To Storm The Cockpit This is the only one of the four hijacked flights that did not strike its intended target, the U.S. Capitol. Some of that is because it was the only one that had four hijackers instead of the five that took down American 11, American 77 and United 175. “The operative likely intended to round out the team for this flight, Mohamed al Kahtani, had been refused entry by a suspicious immigration inspector at Florida’s Orlando International Airport in August,” the 9/11 report said. As the passengers were just seconds away from getting into the cockpit, the hijacker at the controls crashed the plane in an empty field in Shanksville, Pa., just 20 minutes flying time from Washington. 5. The World Trade Center Had Been Targeted Before New York’s World Trade Center held an iconic status for terrorists even before 9/11. Shortly after noon on Feb. 26, 1993, a bomb planted in a van parked in the center’s underground parking garage exploded, killing six people and wounding more than 1,000, the 9/11 report said. “The bombing signaled a new terrorist challenge, one whose rage and malice had no limit,” the 9/11 report said. “Ramzi Yousef, the Sunni extremist who planted the bomb, said later that he had hoped to kill 250,000 people.” 6. Vice President Cheney Ordered United 93 To Be Shot Down Before the passengers forced the crash of United 93, then-vice president Dick Cheney gave the approval for the plane to be shot down before it could reach Washington, the 9/11 report said. “The Vice President authorized fighter aircraft to engage the aircraft,” the report said. However, the report added, the Air Force fighters that were airborne at the time probably would not have found and reached United 93 in time. Military “officials have maintained consistently that had the passengers not caused United 93 to crash, the military would have prevented it from reaching Washington, D.C.,” the 9/11 report said. “That conclusion is based on a version of events that we now know is incorrect.” 7. Earlier Plots Also Targeted Commercial Aircraft Ramzi Yousef, who planned the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, had planned a massive attack on 12 U.S. airliners over the Pacific in 1995, the 9/11 report said. Yousef worked with his uncle, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, to devise the plot, the report said. Mohammed later became one of the masterminds of 9/11. Yousef was arrested in Islamabad, Pakistan, on Feb. 7, 1995, after an accomplice turned him in, the report said. The Manila plot was never carried out. 8. The U.S. Worked On Multiple Attempts To Kill Osama Bin Laden Before 9/11 The CIA and other agencies developed a plan to capture bin Laden in early 1998, the report said. That was delayed and then revived, but it was hampered by concerns from military officials about relying on Afghan tribal leaders. Then-national security adviser Sandy Berger was concerned about what would be done with bin Laden if he was captured and whether the evidence against him could lead to a criminal conviction in a U.S. court. After the U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed on Oct. 8, 1998, President Bill Clinton authorized cruise missile strikes against bin Laden’s compound in Afghanistan. He survived but was later killed by a Navy SEAL team in May 2011. 9. The CIA Warned President Clinton About Hijackings In 1998 In the Dec. 4, 1998, President’s Daily Brief from the CIA, the agency told Clinton that “Bin Ladin Preparing to Hijack US Aircraft and Other Attacks.” The plan, the agency said, was to hijack the planes to gain the release of Yousef and other terrorists, the 9/11 report said. But the agency had no firm information, and the hijackings did not take place. Throughout December 1998, U.S. officials tracked bin Laden around the region and tried to develop a plan to attack him with cruise missiles. 10. Saudi Arabia Had Multiple Ties To The Hijackers When the 9/11 report was released in 2004, 28 pages of material remained classified and the subject of intense speculation about their contents. Those pages, which were released in July, showed multiple links to associates of Saudi Arabian Prince Bandar, the former longtime ambassador to the United States. The documents, as USA TODAY reported in July, "show possible conduits of money from the Saudi royal family to Saudis living in the United States and two of the hijackers in San Diego. The documents also indicate substantial support to California mosques with a high degree of radical Islamist sentiment." The pages were not released, because the details contained in them had not been confirmed or shown to be relevant to the 9/11 attacks. Fifteen of the 19 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia. source: http://www.voiceofaudacity.com/2016/09/10-things-you-should-know-about-911.html?m=1 cc:lalasticlala , mynd44 , seun... you guys need to see this
