Hello everyone, Can someone please advice, I have searched the forum and can't find anything specific to my enquiry I have a planned UK trip with my family member We are looking at visiting Paris for a weekend during that UK trip. We are first time Schengen applicants. I am freelancer so I don't have an employer or anyone to write a letter to the consulate introducing me. I also have travel history to the UK, US, UAE same as my family member. And we both currently have UK & US visas. In terms of bank statements can my family member sponsor the trip? Or would we need to tender separate travel docs? Thanks for your assistance! |

Okay thanks so much Dampops. I just checked my i94, never even knew that was an option, thanks so much for that. I have just seen 3 different departure dates from the US in Oct 2012, they are back to back as well which is weird so not arrival/departure like with the other dates. Only one of the dates is correct, I don't know if I should screenshot and post here... It looks like an admin error, Any ideas how to correct the wrong dates? Thanks Dampops: |
Thanks @Dampops Im female, never given birth in the US, never overstayed. Do you think it's worth taking my bank statements and any other docs? Although they only asked that I bring a printed copy of the application form... Thanks a lot for the helpful advice Dampops: |
Hi guys thanks so much for your helpful advice - @Damipops & @OAB & everyone I got my passport back yesterday and like I said a couple of days back I was refused my b1/b2 IW visa application . In the slip in my passport no reason was given other that I have not successfully established my qualification for the visa applied for. They asked that I go to the consulate any Thursday and bring a printed copy of my ds-160 I’ve looked and can’t find a copy to print, just the confirmation page. Those in the know are there any other supporting documents I should take with me. For context - I’ve never overstayed my visa, I’ve never been refused a U.S. Visa., I’ve never had a baby there either |
thanks oab1: |
Hi everyone, I just tracked my application and it says I was refused. I've never overstayed and I applied for IW. I also haven't received an email from them. I have a valid UK visa and I have also travelled to the UK. Attached is the screenshot. Any advice would be helpful.

My friend who applied in November her's was processed in Sheffield When I called UKVI last week I was told mine was at the Decision Making stage at the UK Embassy in Lagos. My friend did her biometrics Nov 2, she has now received her passport. I did mine Oct 19 and no word. Still just waiting Reine22: |
I did my biometrics Oct 19. I am a frequent traveller and till today no decision has been made. I've called their number several times and they say they have a backlog. However a friend of mine did her biometrics on Nov 4, same 5 years visit visa and today she received an email to pick up her passport tomorrow. This is well within 15 working days. We both did our biometrics at TLS VI, Lagos. It's ridiculous, no word on when my passport will be ready and I have a work trip in South Africa in two weeks. |

In this video I talk about why women are our own worst enemies. I decided to talk about it because I see this a lot in my life as a Nigerian woman & a small business owner. This video was inspired by the viral video of a Nigerian wife confronting the accused side chick of her husband, attacking her in her own home, stripping her and filming the entire disgusting event. While her husband did not suffer this type of violence. We always talk women empowerment, women encouraging women but we seem to get the most scorn, hate from other women. Please watch and let me know what you think. https://youtu.be/kSkHnril_n8 |
