Thanks a lot @scrollmeout, erictack2003, bellong etc.
I have sorted the Attestation from the NPC but yet to go pick it up (was called that it's been ready since yesterday).

I have a little delay with my school as the OSHC on the offer letter was for a single individual but I intend going with my wife so I wrote to them requesting they revise it accordingly. That was 72hours ago but no response so far. I don't know if I should just go ahead and pay using the issued offer letter and arrange a separate single OSHC for the wifey or do I wait for another offer letter to be issued?

@Laminaria, big big congrats, what wonderful news. I'm sure it's erictack2003 that will blow us away with this kind of surprise next cheesy.

It is well
Thanks bro....am sure they will reverse it just wait a bit, u can also send follow up email and if possible reach them on phone. all d best.
still waiting for futuredon don to congratulate me tho~winks ~...come online o

Thanks a lot Laminara,

Did you changed course? I understand that you initially applied for a non SVP program and now SVP. Did you changed course? I intend changing from Nursing to Logistics since I have more business prospects in Logistics than Nursing back home in Nigeria. Do you think they will frown on my changing course?

just a twist of course name...my first application was aged care+nursing and it was rejected bot only because am on level3 but my sop wasn't really strong n no home tie on my application.
so i switched to disability course now whc is almost d same so to say...yea svp now and strong sop wit home tie.
I guess u can change so far u av documents and necessary stuff to bak it up...am telling ur refusal was still somehow to me cos they are not supose to say anything abiut disparity between d two countries thats ezcuse for non -svp.
repackage ur application and try to fill all d void back it up wit prayer....U are next to jubilate bro!

Congrats my Brother... Did you apply via SVP route... and if you didn't use a Bank Statement please check out my enquiries;

I will soon be applying under SVP 573

Please i want to know; what kind of Financial ability letter would I use (without a bank statement)

Suggestions: I thought of submitting a letter of Sponsorship and affidavit from my dad OR i just write a Personal Finan
cial declaration letter(stating i can cater for myself and notarised at the High Court)

...Please help me with any other suggestions as well, its kinda confusing
like lawland said...u dont need to worry ursef on that so far is svp route...u will only tick that on ur visa application. ..just make sure ur sop really strong and make sure u use anything time that can suggest ur coming bak to naija as home tie
yes my application is svp..and no bank statements required.

Not necessarily because as Ecowas country u don't need a visa to go into Ghana. It's a laissez passez more or less. U can however just add it. Why do u need that? Last I checked they asked for countries visited not visas abi new form dey?
....
visa is not d issue just to step up my application this time n increase my chance.... that's y am asking so as to show proof. CO (summary)..i have no evidence that u have travelled outside naija b4...tho I do not draw any adverse conclusion but however I am unable to give weight to ur past compliance wit immigration law.
I know SVP has lesser scrutiny. ..but to show d story isn't d same wit me like I did in feb
so house wat do u tink?

@Lami,
as per opting out of your Adv. Dip. course, this immi link is for your attention...
http://migrationblog.immi.gov.au/2014/01/14/changing-courses-changes-everything/

pls study everything critically b4 ur next move...
tanks for this.
similar to what I av bin reading from various schools n oz visa link.
I can change to another provider provided it is another eligible SVP school, 2nd I can change to another school provided I have use 6months from my principal course without a release letter, however I can change if am yet to use 6months from my principal course hence I will need release letter from school stating reason y am leaving....but still it won't lead to my visa cancellation as long as I maintain in SVP school. correct me if am wrong pls
but immediately after d diploma can I start d PR route so long is already above 2yrs study?

erictack203:
Disability Studies and Nursing has a lot of relevance compared to Community Sector Management.
Community Sector Mgt fall under Social Works, while disability falls under Nursing Studies/Paramedicine.
So Mrlinobrown is right, go for A which is relevant to your previous program and thus the Embassy will be fine with it.
Regards.
thanks for ur input.
mrnilobrawn:
^^^ go for A.
all said and discussed, tanks.
missakomaye:

As per relevance to your last application go for A.
But if i am given your choice i will rather do B cos its cheaper, its svp and its on the SOL and CSOL lists when i decide to go PR.
But 3.5years? Might as well just do PR directly na. Pls tell me again what's stopping you from doing PR directly?
yea i understand the money aspect of it but d major issue might just be the oshc of 3.5yrs.....tuition is almost the same, cos first i will pay 25% of first course and 10% of subsequent courses,
issue of PR directly is that they have my records now so if i try to go that route it will surely contradict each other regards my CV n job relevance...thanks for d input.
FutureDon:
laminaria - although my knowledge in packaged courses is limited, I would advise the following;
1. Search for schools similar to school A, perhaps there are some other schools that offer just Cert IV in disability (39weeks) + Diploma in disability (70weeks) under SVP route. In my honest opinion, I think 3.5years for combined certificate and diploma courses is a bit long - that's enough time to bag a PhD, I would opt for the BSc degree instead.
2. If there are no other schools offering just Cert IV in disability (39weeks) + Diploma in disability (70weeks) under SVP route, check school A website very well to ascertain that you can actually ''bone'' the adv. diploma part later in future.
Disability courses are more marketable here than what school B is offering you, as such I wouldn't advise you to go for option B.
[/quoted
honestly i have searched n searched ....i do see schools both private n govt owned but neva reached adv diploma level that can qualifies me for svp...tho other courses are like management n business do reach adv dp for svp.......but i tink is too late to go that way now..considering my profile wit dem.
bro i no fil lie anyone here, i cant afford d tuition for uni, most degree course for such related course is around 13-15au$ (around2m - 2.3m upward) i have two uni admission but cant go further cos of money.
[quote author=macbernard post=34889653]@Lami, pls note that SVP rules state that you must spend at least 6 month in the course that gave you the SVP privilege in a packaged offer. In your case, what that means is by getting that visa, you cant opt out of the program till after the first semester of your Advanced Diploma course... Pls go through the SVP rules again.
By the way, why would you want to spend{time is money} a whooping 3.5 years on TAFE.... why not look for a 1 yr or 18 months program... Yes, your ultimate consideration is PR after 2 yrs, but that doesnt mean you have to be in one program for those 2 yrs i.e you can get into another program after a year or so in TAFE. Some thing like 1 yr TAFE + 1 yr Masters{get the M.Sc admission with ur Nigerian degree}.
most of those one yr or 18months cant or hardly fall under svp...beside i did two yrs aged care+nursing and i was denied, mostly affected cos of level3 issue...so it is a must now that i go tru svp n also related course to my previous.
with regards to your comment, are sure i cant opt out cos some people packaged tafe wit uni to gain svp.. and uni do gives like3-5 yrs break atleast to commence d prg failure to do so they terminate d deposit fee but not sure if there is any legal immigration against,
tank you all for d views n ideas......pls those that are already in oz abeg u all reading this in name of God help find out from friends, schools and perhpas education authority.
can one leave d adv. diploma prg after his or her initial studies has reached two yr without any legal misconduct?
Travel / Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by laminaria(m): 9:30am On Jun 18, 2015
pls house come to my aid on this issue.
Schools A : cert iv in disability (39weeks)+ diploma in disability (70weeks) + adv.diploma in disability (66weeks) altogether making it 3.5 yrs for d whole course
Note certificate course is a prerequisite to diploma n diploma is prerequisite to adv. dip to qualify for SVP
School B: diploma of early childhood education care (78weeks) + adv.diploma in community sector management(26weeks) altogether 2yrs ..SVP too.
payment for d tuition for both is almost d same except that d oshc of school A will be much more than B cos of duration of study...school A course is much in line wit former course i was denied visa wit (aged care+nursing)
my question...
(1) am worry cos of 3.5yrs for tafe course whc is also bsc duration as well, won't Pretoria tink i shud opted for degree?
(2) completion of cert n diploma will already qualify for two yrs post study visa/ PR...can I bone d adv.dip then
CC missmakoye, futuredon,surveyor1,Mrnilobrawn....pls wanna make my final moves this week....both have Oct intake too.
Travel / Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by laminaria(m): 1:00pm On Jun 16, 2015
This is for students n PR gurus in d house...
my school is under SVP but d course(s) must reach adv.diploma level, and I can't do diploma & adv diploma without prerequisite course i.e certificate iv.
duration for cert iv is 39weeks
duration for diploma is 70weeks
adv.diplomas is 66weeks.
after finishing certificate n diploma... it is already two yrs prg which I stand a chance of applying for post student visa/ PR.
tho 10% of d tution of adv will be paid but i tink i can forgo it just to qualify me for SVP .
is it possible to leave d adv diploma without having issue wit immigration cos combination of all d weeks is above three yrs.
Travel / Re: General Australian student Visa Enquiries Part 2 by laminaria(m): 7:47am On Jun 11, 2015
@richnet...from d look of ur application it is clearly u are level3
well I experienced d waiting too but I can assure that d person that contact u will also be d one to give u f golden mail
Now let's start wit ur financial strength: d money is bit small but fair wen combined to meet ur financial capabilities. however I hope d two Acc are cash in cash out ie running account?
2nd: if u av done medical prior to lodgement that can expedite ur process.. av u?
3rd: are u d owner of d landed property? if yes I tink that can stand as home tie.
4: wat u wrote on dat section will go along way for CO to decide ...that explain ur reason why y chose d course, Australia , and ur future plan.
my advice, make sure d phone nos u put in ur application is always wit u ..it is very possible they call n ask for questions u don't put in ur app.
not necessarily nagging them wit calls or email..they already seen ur resumption date whc I tink is fair to be granted visa
above all....submit everything to God in prayer!

tanks to @missakomaye: I hope so too, @futuredon: not at all abt any bogous (fake docs) refusal was just base on home tie, not filling some section... I have schools n courses that reaches to adv diploma(community health related) whc qualifies me for SVP...one has sept intake and all have Feb next yr intake too...so am tinking if Pretoria won't see desperation in me for that sept intake.
yes I can get everything set for sept intake.

hello mrnilobrawn...hello all, thanks for all queries being resolved through this medium....bout the non grant above, sorry about that. u know some pple ave been bounced twice by US. I am trying to apply for a diploma of nursing but i couldnt find any with SVP since u guys are all advising to go trough SVP, what do I do or?
hmmmmm....am so glad u share it before u eventually emarb and process.
here are the obstacles ....for non SVP
1)u need someone to sponsor u or sponsor ursef and show a proof of financial power of bank statement....like 6m to be on d safer side to run for at least 3consecutive months.
2) a very very very strong tie to Nigeria.....like a business, properties...etc
3) strong SOP to show all ur future plans n how d course can help u to achieve that, reasons of choosing it, also how u can make d course to key into niaja market to recoup all ur expensive paid trip ..etc
I will strongly advice u to package it to university level that can guarantee u SVP.....nevertheless a lot of people go tru it n got it as well.

AL3 requires some little scrutiny before approval.
The first thing is to raise.your head up and refire again. Before you do, you can change to a program that is under SVP. If it happens that you still want this present one you considered before, you can present your SOA and show a linkage between the course and employment opportunity in Nigeria after completion of studies.
Personally, I would be glad if you opt for an SVP program.
yes am already on tinking on SVP route....but my question now is,
am planning to change course to ICT cos is under SVP n d tuition is affordable for me but considering d fact that my first lodgement was health related won't that red flag on my new application cos I will change SOP . tanks bro!
others too can contribute...

sorry for replying late.. couldn't lay my hands on fone I hope u all know how it feels.
I have dusted n already pik my self up...I just want to tell future applicants on dis forum... pls do try SVP n PR route. not saying dis cos I was denied but documentations n all. I coached people who got visa but on SVP, less documents n quick response from Pretoria. it is because my aged care n nursing was not fall under SVP.
all d same will be here n help others in what I have gone tru
I will continue shouting up NEPA for a while....tank you all.
