Soludo Flags-Off Distribution Of 3.8 million Free Of Cost Mosquito-treated Nets By Ejike Abana (ABS Government House Correspondent) Anambra State Government has flagged-off the distribution of three-point-eight million insecticide treated nets to Ndi Anambra. Governor Soludo performed the flag-off ceremony of nets which will be distributed free of cost at the Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka. The distribution is carried out in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and Malaria Consortium. The exercise will be door to door after the flag-off. Professor Soludo, in his remarks appealed to Anambra residents not to take the exercise for granted Governor Soludo who appreciated the magnanimous funding from the partners, said that it is a way to start the campaign and sensitisation program as a fore-runner to the distribution. Governor Soludo said that it is part of the efforts to ensure healthy living. Governor Soludo who stated that the lifespan of the net is about three years, revealed that the vaccination against malaria is being rolled out in the journey to zero malaria in Anambra state. As a wake up call for everybody to get involved in the campaign, he called on women, Traditional Rulers, and Presidents General who he said will play a major role in mobilising the communities in the distribution process to minimize malaria, saying that there are several households who may not need the nets, but directed that households that need them should receive more than a net when the distribution commences. He appealed to the distribution team to ensure equitable distribution of the mosquito nets. Wife of the Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo who was decorated as Net Ambassador, expressed delight in the honour and that households will be registered and given nets and asked everyone to make themselves available, by providing the relevant information for the distribution exercise which will commence from 2 - 17 August, 2022. While enumerating some of the achievements by the present administration, the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike rehearsed that the distribution exercise is a fight for zero tolerance against malaria and pointed out that studies show that the use of nets is low in the state. Dr Obidike explained that choosing such a time is informed by the fact that malaria increases during rainy season and stressed that Governor Soludo is determined to provide quality healthcare to Ndi Anambra. While pleading with the government and people of the state to receive and make use of the nets, the West and Central Africa Programme Director of the Malaria Consortium, Dr. Kolawole Maxwell spoke on the public health impact of the malaria burden, saying that if the menace is eliminated, the economic benefits are immeasurable. He stated that Nigeria is committed to elimination of malaria by 2025, just like other countries have done. Symbolic presentation of nets to a few beneficiaries, featured at the event which was attended by the Ministry of Health, United Nations agencies in Anambra State, Wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Oluchi Ibezim, Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Head of Service, Barr. Theodora Igwegbe, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi and members of Anambra State Executive Council. |

wizzyvibes:Has ur state governor finished accommodating u and her indigenes that u want Anambra to accommodate u. Charity they said begins from home. When last did ur state gov publish state vacancies for employment? I’m sure u can’t tell me. These are d issues, this is why southeast youths are busy joining ugm and kidnapping for ransom, setting food trucks ablaze, rampant cult activity here and there. Me and u can’t come home in peace because of the insecurity in our region...our youths are jobless and now looking towards crime/fast way. If every south east gov should sit up like Soludo, don’t u think things will be better for d region? Ediots like Ekpa will lose relevance as well. |
Simon Ekpa the Abakeleke terrorist is out there still causing trouble and making things hard for the average igbo man..both politically and economically..not once has the coalition of Ebonyi state indigenes called his stinking ass out and issue him a warning. Rather all we get is a deafening silence. That terrorist is trying so hard to disenfranchise southeast region. Umahi is busy building large edifices without taking care of the dwindling human development of his state. Enugu state gov is over there sleeping. Uzodinma same. No noise from the indigenes of these states. Now u want to come and jostle for the few Anambra state jobs meant for our youths...no way! ![]() Sorry to say this, gone are the days Anambra use to shoulder the lapses of the rest south east states. Now na all man for himself,Anambra is overwhelmed pls. Everyone should go face their states and start making things work. If u don’t know, findings revealed half of the last recruitment list constitutes of non indigenes(imo,Abia, delta, kogi,Enugu,Ebonyi)states. Are the govs of these states sleeping or working? ![]() |
gasparpisciotta:Remember Ojukwu also failed woefully in one presidential elections...remember? If my pple are really interested in politics they should go start from the scratch and learn/unlearn...scratch, I mean beginning from LG politics to various southeast east state’s elections |

I am igbo but the so called ‘Niger delta’ pple are d most foolish set of pple in this enclave after the useless Ipob...always chanting ‘our oyel our oyel’ like that’s the only thing your forefathers injected in yall blood. When u pple finish shouting ‘our oyel’ finish u go back to ur match box shanties to continue drinking Kai Kai...tueh! And yes! They will keep employing ur youths as pipeline guards, chevron gate keepers, cleaners et al if y’all don’t dump Kai Kai and get sense. Bunch of oily militants |
Terrier99:Chaii south south in d gutterx |
Softmirror:Pls pay no heed to all these Ipob urchins opening thread up and down like fools. We the few sane igbos will keep asking them what happened to their chant of no Biafla,no erection? They’re are now suddenly enmeshed in the zoo primary’s/elections. Pointing out traitors and ‘sabos’ lmao. They don’t know their terrorist organization has successfully aided the region in being one without electoral value. Noisy orangutans! |

It seems you’re now tired of carrying out disastrous propaganda against Anambra using the words and post of your evil lord and personal Abakeleke terrorist,Ekpa. You are now being seen on every political posts subtly driving for a better president. Bkay aka Whitedemon, what happened to ‘Biafla or death?’ You’re now subtly driving the consciousness of every igbo youth getting their PVCs as against your ‘No leflendum,no erection’. Has Simon Ekpa ur master finally regained his senses? Very soon u will return to this thread in ur former cloak to come and preach nonsense igbo umbrella after using ur demonic moniker to propagate the evil messages of ur demonic Abakeleke master called Simon Ekpa. Bkayy,I dey wait u for this thread. And if u come on here to deny you have nothing to do with the whiteangel moniker is hot thunder from Owo that will slit that ur Ipob throat. Bastarrrd! |
wizzyvibes:My last post isn’t for u to come argue with me. It is what it is! Go and tackle ur various south east governors to start living up to expectation. The incompetencies of most south east govs is what has given rise to insecurity issues in the region. When last did ur governor release state vacancies for her pple? Pls go and tackle them and stop jostling for few positions meant for ndi Anambra. We won’t sit and watch our Anambra graduates roam the streets in joblessness thereby being lured into crime and other vices by miscreants. We won’t sit and watch civil service jobs meant for Anambra youths being taken by pple who can’t hold their various governors accountable but would want to come and dictate to the ANSG how to carry out governance in their favour. Pls sit this out! Anambra FIRST! |

Lastly, for the miscreants quoting and insulting their lame fathers concerning Anambra state Jobs...we will continue to state it that Anambra state jobs are for Anambra indigenes FIRST. And if u feel you’re not okay with that, pls go and tackle your respective lazy and incompetent governors on that. Incompetent Abia gov has been given free ticket to the senate Enugu gov same. Pls go and tackle ur state govs on their incompetencies and leave Anambra state alone,,use same energies u use to nose poke into Anambra affairs on ur various states. With that,we can be proud of a much more better south east region. |
*TRENDING WRITE-UP ON FATHER EBUBE MUONSO'S PROPHECIES* The above write up trending on some social media handles should be ignored, even though it has inadvertently addressed the unfortunate issues raised by our respected and most revered clergy man, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministries, Uke, Rev Fr. Obinma, popularly called Ebube Muonso. Governor Soludo would not be distracted from delivering good governance to the good people of Anambra state. Prof Soludo, at all times, has respect for the clergy, the church and indeed all men and women of God and will not join issues with them The Governor further enjoins the good citizens of Anambra State to go about their lawful duties without fear of molestation, assured that the security of their life and property is the main priority of his government. Signed: Christian Aburime Press Secretary to the Governor. |
It seems days of awarding contracts to incompetent and dubious contractors are over,,from our roads down to waste... ndi Anambra we move! MOD: Henceforth there must be background checks on every intending contractors in d state. Days of collecting contracts and abandoning or doing a very bad job is over. Track records of intending contractors must be surly checked. Only a foolish contractor from the state will collect a road contract and do a mediocre job and will still ply same bad road tomorrow...probably chanting ’Buhari is evil...see our roads, see our region’ |
